I wish this review was to rant and rave about the amazing repairs performed on my vehicle, but unfortunately it just wasn t in the cards this time. That doesn t mean this is a negative review, so grab your popcorn and hang on.To make a long story longer, I m military and stationed in NM. I traveled to MO to visit family, and that is when life put in her mouthpiece and came out of her corner swinging. It started with a death in the family and ended with the 07 Yukon I had driven without incident from NM to MO deciding there was no better time than then to break. I reached out to friends and family for recommendations for a reputable shop to utilize for what I was hoping to be a fairly simple, inexpensive repair. Henry s won the nod. I called on a Monday and was told they were backed up; being on an extreme time crunch I asked if it would be okay for me to leave the Yukon with them while I traveled to the funeral and then back to NM. They agreed and I dropped off the Yukon. On the following Monday (two days before the anticipated time) I was contacted and given the unfortunate news, I was going to need a new engine. The cost of the replacement was more than the value of the car so I had to decline the service. By this time I was back and NM and had to make arrangements for someone to pick up the Yukon for me. Richard agreed to let the vehicle stay for a few extra days while everything was finalized. They even agreed to put the engine back into the condition it was when I dropped it off, something you won t find at many other shops. My contact was able to pick up the Yukon on Friday and as promised it was ready and waiting for him secured in the shop. All this to say even though I was not able to have my vehicle repaired the entire staff I had the pleasure of communicating with were professional, kind, and understanding of my situation. Their diagnosis of the exact cause of my engine failure (suicidal number 7 piston) was fast and accurate. I would recommend this shop to anyone in the future for service to their vehicles.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

i moved to Raytown 4 years ago.. a man always likes to find a good reliable mechanic wherever he lives.. I got real lucky right off the bat.. they have been servicing my 07 Jeep Commander now for 4 years.. I have NO complaints.. my last work I had done was the transfer case.. I was first quoted around 1600 bucks.. when Jeep was completed I was elated that they on their own told me the estimate was wrong and it would be 300 LESS than original quote.. WHO DOES THAT.. Richard, Andy Joe and all of them have been great with me.. the good thing about all this is.. THEY KNOW MY JEEP.. nothing but 5 stars everytime I've had er in.. thanks you guys.. I have peace of mind when dealing with Henry's auto.. I really really do.. who wouldn't want that.. Randy

Went to get my a price check for a vacuum solenoid valve replacement checked out in comparison to the dealer price and only had to pay 206 with tax compared to the 365 I'd have at the Toyota dealer.

We are not taking out cars anywhere else! I called on a Monday, they were able to look and diagnose my car on Thursday, gave pricing estimates and updates and on Friday my car is ready. Everyone I talked to was kind and explained everything.

Took the time to actually find the problem the dealership couldn't. Much cheaper, very friendly. Speaks to.you like you're an actual human. Car came back to me working better than we bought it. Dealers took 2 weeks, Henry's took 2 days.

I've always trusted this mechanic and I even drive across town just to have them work on my car, but I feel like over the years they've begun to take advantage of that trust. They don't give me any kind of a price quote on the work they're going to do and then afterwards I find out that they are charging me far more than I have paid somewhere else. I stupidly trusted them and didn't ask for a quote, and now I'm stuck paying for work that is charged twice as much as it's been anywhere else when I've gotten the same work done on the same car before. Disappointed but I'm going to have to find a new mechanic

Henrys is the best auto shop I have ever dealt with. They are honest, kind and friendly. They always call you before starting any work on your vehicle. Usually get your car done in a couple of days depending on the damage. Always recommend it to friends and family!

I have had my trucks services several times. Very honest! I had a simple wire (very small) issues that seem to be fuel pump. There are some shops out there that would have been troubleshooter for a high bill. They charge for shop time and were honest about the problem. I have been back several time just for the honesty

Solid business ethics with old school morals. Small shop, but good people. The owner carries a MO inspection certificate. They'll even give you a ride home if your vehicle is going to take a while to work on.

First time coming here & went in for a state inspection...was there about 45 minutes which was expected. It was easy scheduling the appointment as others I had called only did them at certain times & didn't fit my schedule. Everyone here was very nice from beginning to end & was very communicative with me. All I needed was a windshield wiper blade replaced & to top off a fluid. I will remember this place in the future when I need maintenance/repairs.

Good honest trustworthy people and great service at a reasonable price!!! I was visiting relatives in the K.C. area when I purchased some water-tainted gas. I had my car towed to Henry's. They found almost half a tank of water in the gas. They drained the water out and added Seafoam. Thanks you Henry's for your quality service!

We've been coming here since we moved to Raytown. We had used the same family mechanic my whole life and moving to the city and being female I was concerned about auto repairs and finding a good fair place. I went to a couple places for small known issues on my car asking each one to take a look and give me a quote. Henry's team told me exactly what my old mechanic had and their price was only $2 more. They got themselves a lifelong customer then and there. They've always been fair and friendly. We come here for everything from oil changes and tires to inspections and part replamlcments, because I know they'll be honest, upfront, and fair. I also really appreciate the personal touch they give to their customers, they've taken me home when I haven't had a ride, and stuck around late when my car was being towed in after closing to make sure my car was dropped off safely and that I was picked up all right. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for

I have been taking my car(s) to Henry's for 13 years. I find them very helpful and very honest! I can see why they have been around for so many years. I would highly recommend Henry's, I live 40 minutes away and make the trip every time my car needs something. I am very happy with them!

I've been unfortunate with recent cars/trucks. But these guys are always making it easy when I have a problem. Richard and Ben are thorough, informative and considerate. I work nights so they do their best to make it convenient for me and keep me updated. Had to replace an engine and they came through quick.

Great people & good mechanics. This is our go-to for car repair. Individually owned and operated, they are fair and most importantly to us, completely honest. You can trust taking grandma's car there. Richard, Andy, & the rest of the crew are top-notch.

I wish I could give no stars. We took our car in for an inspection they Friday of Memorial weekend. They called and said it passed and would be done in a few minutes. Then called back 15 minutes later and said it didn't pass, needed $150 worth of work to pass. We okay'd that. When we picked it up I could not get out of the parking lot cause I couldn't find first gear or reverse. My gear shift was very wobbly and not at all like it was. My husband got in and finally managed to find first but there was no reverse. Pulled up to the building and told them there was no reverse and the gear shift was messed up. They told us it was like that when we brought it in. It was not. It was in perfect shape and I even backed out of my driveway to take it up there. We argued and tried to tell them it was not like that. They refused to find out what was wrong and continued to say it was that way. We got it home and my husband took apart the console and found a small plastic piece that had broken and was lying in the bottom. He ordered a part from the Ford dealership and when he picked it up, he asked how this could happen. The Ford parts guy said it happens most of the time when a person who doesn't know how to drive a stick shift grinds the gears or tries to put a car in gear without pushing in the clutch. Thankfully it was a $75 fix and only about two hours of my husbands time. But I will never take my car back to Henry's and I am telling everyone I know not to go there. We have also contacted the service place that referred them. They were very disappointed and said they wouldn't refer anymore. We told the Ford dealership and all the parts departments in Raytown we went to before going to Ford for the part. It was a horrible experience at any time, but because of it we were not allowed to go on our long weekend out of town for Memorial Day weekend. It is crazy how disloyal people can be anymore.

Very very nice group of individuals here, very honest and kind. Will use this shop from here on out for my vehicles. Gave me a ride home when dropping off my truck also.
