Cheap oil changes with no thrills. Sometimes that's a good thing. I was a walk in, Didn't take long at all. But I called and made sure.

Tonight I got a flat tire on my way home. I happened to be driving through Raytown, MO. I'm not from that area, it's about 40 minutes from my home. I was unlucky enough to get my flat tire at 4:40 pm on a Friday evening.I quickly pulled into Tires Plus. Google says they are open until 7pm. At the time, it was 4:40. The man at the desk said, "We are closing in 20 minutes, there's nothing I can do for you" . I asked if there was somewhere he could recommend that would be open past 5, and he recommended Firestone.I drove on my rim to Firestone. It was now 4:46. Google again claims that they stay open until 7. Firestone said, "We close in 16 minutes. I can't change your tire in that time." I explained that I wasn't from this area. If they couldn't help me, I'd probably need to stay there and wait for a tow truck. He offered to put enough air in my flat tire to get me to the next shop up the street. However, my tire was really flat, something had punctured it, and airing it up didn't work. He pointed out the next tire shop's sign, and said I should be able to make it there. He did not want me to wait for a tow.I drove to Calvert's Express auto service and tire. I got to Calvert's at 4:56. They were also closing, but the guy there said he would help me. He changed my tire, and had me driving out of his shop at 5:12. I highly recommend Calvert's, and I'm grateful that they have employees there that care about taking care of customers, rather than just trying to leave early on Friday night.

I needed an alignment so I called today. Lady who answered, Alexis?, was very nice and professional. Took car in and they got it done within an hour. Explained the process. Definitely best auto shop in Raytown

Took my vehicle in for some rather simple repairs. They broke my radiator and tried to glue it instead of replace. The failded to fix actuall issue for 4 days. Absolutley terrible expriece!!!

The manager was out of order when he started yelling at me and the owner of the car. Very disappointed in him. He should be fired!!! Short bald white man , I didn t even get his name. VERY RUDE.

The only problem I have is that my Garmin GPS system with case is missing from my car. I did call them and let them know right after I got home from picking up my car. Thank you. The people working were very nice. What am I or you supposed to do about my GPS??

Took my truck in for a state inspection. When they found a problem preventing my truck from passing the inspection, they contacted me immediately, then allowed me to repair the problem on site. Then the tech pushed my inspection on thru after watching me make the repair.The tech went above and beyond to get my inspection completed that day. Especially because it was the last day I had to get the inspection without being late.Great job!

DO NOT GO TO Calvert's !!!!!! I had my brakes done here and the next day they failed. I almost crashed and died. I had the vehicle towed back to Calverts and had to get a rental. Calverts didn't seem to care about the brakes failing but just blamed it on parts malfunction and low staffing. I requested to be reimbursed for the tow service that I had to pay for because of their negligence as well as to be reimbursed for the rental car that I had to purchase for their negligence. Calverts had no empathy or sympathy and refused to reimburse me.I spoke to corporate , and they offered me a free oil change. Wth???? Calvert s Auto Express was the third shop I tried to fix my flat tire. They were the first to offer to do it that day. The front desk person was really helpful and pleasant. The repair was done in less than an hour and it ended up costing me less than $25. I was impressed by how honest and helpful they were. From now on all my car business goes to them!!!Service: Tires

Very horrible experience. I was a mechanic for 35 years and to have another mechanic tell me that I needed parts replaced on my vehicle that had already been replaced was a slap in the face. I had an engine light on that another mechanic said just needed to be cleared. So, I got the diagnostic done at Calverts and they figured out what the problem was. Well when I arrived I had an antifreeze leak. After a diagnostic I was told that I needed a radiator. After the radiator was installed the mechanic called me out to show me that the fluid was actually leaking from the water pump and that that was the actual problem. So I was informed that I had to now pay for a water pump as well as a radiator that I didn t need! I had no other choice but to pay for it because I needed my vehicle. I ve never had an issue in the past but this was a costly mistake and I was not compensated in anyway or offered any other options except to now pay for a water pump. I was charged $379.50 labor on a radiator that I didn t even need and then charged 287.50 for labor on the water pump, plus I still had to pay for both parts for a total of $1312.39. I was even charged for the antifreeze that he poured in after he replaced the radiator that I didn t need and it all spilled to the ground from the water pump. I will no longer be using Calverts to service my vehicles.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic

They allowed me to pay 400+ for new brakes only to be sent home with a wobbly wheel and undercarriage. When I took the car back,the mechanic insisted there was not an issue with my brakes and insisted I needed an alignment! I refused to pay another dime.. My car was in perfect condition when I dropped it off other than the brake work needed.Update: My dad decided to take the car to the shop a third time and they finally admitted a bolt was missing on the brake cylinders. (hmm, did they not want to listen to the black woman who expressed the same concerns?) I've been driving for 2 weeks with a missing bolt, could've of been seriously injured or killed due to their negligence. I'm very disappointed and will never return because I value my life. Save yourself and go to Firestone.

This place is really a joke. John the manager is very rude. I dropped my vehicle off because it was running hot and my front vents for my air was not blowing. John called and told me what needed to be done and I asked for them to fix it. I paid over $800 which majority of that went to labor. The replacement part itself were under $100 so you do the math. Well 2 days after they 'fixed' the issue. My car started to run hot again and this time it was smoking. I called and told the manager and took my vehicle back to them. Well John begin to tell me that it was something else. After I asked what was fixed and why is the same problems happening, he then told me I could get my vehicle out of there and refused to help me. I'm currently working with a attorney and will update but I wouldn't suggest anyone use their service.Services: Auto A/C recharge, Air conditioning, Oil change

Doe yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Went for an oil change, I called a head so they new I was coming and my make and model. Got my car in and raised up oil drained and then they checked to see if they even had the oil or filter. They did not. A simple fifteen minute oil ended up taking almost 2 hours. They didn't even check my tire pressure while I was waiting, something I asked them to do and they agreed to. Something most places will do for free even if you don't have an appointment. No apologies no discount nothing. I should have realized when I was the only customer. They also took it upon themselves to reset my trip mileage counter for no reason. And as I travel for work and get reimbursed off of that trip odometer they cost me a few hundred dollars.GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!

Was told it would be an hour to get to my oil change, which I understood and was ok with. They said they would call when completed. Dropped off at 10 am, waited in lobby till 1230 and finally asked if they got to it and they said yeah, didn't u get a call. I said no, I've been waiting in your lobby and no one told me anything. First off the girl who is working reception was completely rude and not welcoming at all. Being the face of the business she should be cheerful and helpful. The waiting area was so dirty and stinky my son and I had no place to sit and wait we had to stand up and walk around outside during the entire service. The bathroom was also disgusting. I believe they just said things were wrong with my vehicle because I am a woman and tried to scam me into paying hundreds of dollars to fix my burnt out bulbs in my brake lights.I would never recommend this place to anyone.Service: Vehicle Inspection

This place is a dinosore a rare dying breed one of the few that will literally mess up you car to upcharge you, I'm thinking the owner is planning on closing this store and the employees are trying to generate business to keep the place open and generate a nice winfall while they are sitting in on the busiest street on earth and their unscrupulous practices is losing more and more business and they have moved into the scarcity mindset to justify their actions and they don't understand that good business generates good business and they play on customers ignorance or so they assume to mess up their parts so if you go here you have been warned!!! The brake repair I got done here was more than I was expecting, but they called me to verify the estimate before beginning work, then thoroughly answered my questions about the parts needing replaced when I arrived to pick up my car - even going as far as to show me the old parts and the damage that had been done to them. I felt very confident that they were being up front with me about everything. I would recommend them to anyone needing brake work.Service: Brakes

I accidentally added 1qt more of oil to my car (02 Camry) than needed and was literally freaking out trying to get it drained. And these guys helped me out when other places were having issues or refused to touch it. So my advice is 1) don't overfill your oil pan and 2) if you do, go to Calvert's to fix it (towing would be advised though, too much oil can cause a lot damage). I can't thank them enough. It was fast, affordable and the employees were trustworthy and polite.Service: Oil change

Great service! This is one of the only places I can take my car to get an oil change, since my car has to have an electric power tool to be taken off. Any other place I ve taken it has told me they can t get it off but this place never complains and gets the job done fast. Will be coming back for all my car needs!!!

Nothing really wrong with the service techs but the front desk receptionist is NOT customer friendly at all! Her attitude is bad and she shows NO respect period when talking to you on the phone and/or in person. When she talks to customers on the phone, she hangs up and talks bad about them to herself while other customers are sitting right there. We as customers have the right to ask questions when it s pertaining to our cars and shouldn t be criticized or judged by the voice of the company when that person is the only and 1st voice that we hear when calling or visiting. She act like she s only there for a paycheck and doing her job at the bare minimum but she needs serious training or another job not dealing with people.Service: Vehicle Inspection

I'm writing another review because there is more too it; not only did they make my car's cooling worse but it now has had its head gasket blown. The mechanic literally told me "its not going to over heat. If it signals that its hot don't worry about it cause that component isn't working but you don't have to worry about it till later". 15 minutes later my truck is useless. I need a refund and money from this company for trashing my truck

The receptionist was very very very like she hated her job. The paper I had to sign was thrown at me never smiled just rude for no reason. The mechanics were sooooo nice explained everything in detail and precisely. Would definitely go bk thank god receptionist wasn't fixing cars.

Rudest staff ever. Didn't fix a thing with the car and charged $185. Code isn't even off the car. Waiting on call from district manager now.EDIT (added info): Despite their response below, nobody has tried to fix anything, and nobody has answered the email or the phone call to the number they provided in their response.
