My daughter and I were traveling from St. Louis to Houston when her car engine service light came on. The car suddenly became underpowered. We were able to make it to Popular Bluff and google searched an auto repair shop. We were lucky to have found Barker s. The staff was incredibly friendly and quickly checked out our vehicle. The computer indicated a bad alternator. Unfortunately, no one in town had a replacement alternator as this was a VW manufactured part. The gentleman at the service desk, the young man that assisted, and the mechanic that checked out the vehicle were incredibly helpful. I ended up renting a U-Haul truck and tow dolly to get our vehicle to Houston. The gentleman (sorry that I did not get your name) went beyond the call of duty and helped me load the vehicle. We sincerely appreciate the Barker s team and all their efforts to get us back on the road. Merry Christmas and all the best for 2024! Mike

We were on the road when our emergency brake broke after hitting a pot hole. It sounded like the whole car was messed up. Being hundreds of miles away, we stopped at Barkers expecting a wait and expensive fix.They got us in right away and were honest in letting us know that (after removing the broken brake from the tire) my car was completely drivable when they could have nickel and dime d us.Quick service and honesty greatly appreciate.Service: Brakes

Can t recommend them enough.We were on our way to town when a warning light flashed on my dash. We tried going somewhere else but they wouldn t come look so we drove to barkers. The guy came out right away to look under the hood. He knew the problem in 5 seconds, had us an estimate in 5 minutes and back on the road a few hours later.

Used them before and was fairly happy. Needed them again and I Called 4 times this morning, the person answering couldn't hear me each time, I called a few other people to make sure it wasn't me. We 2 women drove an hour and a half one way to pick up my daughter's Harley-Davidson that was in an accident. The mechanic and the fella's in the shop helped us secure it on the trailer even loaned me straps, as ours wasn't sufficient enough. All around good people. However, didn't really appreciate the fee for using debit card, but business is business I suppose. Thanks again guys for all your help!!

I m giving a 5 star despite my 1 star previously. Since then I ve done business again here and I ll have to say they went above an beyond. Great service, fast , reliable, affordable.

My car slides off my road in about the same spot every year. These wonderfully sweet gentlemen come save the day every time. I just adore this business and recommend it to everyone.

I called my insurance provider and explained my situation. The rep asked for my policy number and verified information. Rep stated he would call the vendor to assist me. I received a courtesy phone call from the vendor and Jim had my situation resolved within 10 minutes. He made my life a lot better in a short matter of time. Thank you again Jim. Very friendly and courteous 10 s!!!

We GREATLY appreciated the guy who came and helped us! He went back to get a bigger truck to carry us all back to town with him. And ya being from out of town, he accompanied us to several hotels to make sure we could get a room! He found us a place to get our tires fixed and all! He went above and beyond for us and we are so grateful!!!! These are the guys to call for help!!(:

These guys r awesome..I had a friend who parked at an unathorrized place and it was going to cost me $295 and they just charged $150..These guys came through and gave me a great deal!! I will have these guys tow me my next tow! They r awesome and I recommend them to anybody needing a tow!! They turned around an unfortunate situation and made things so much better for me!! Thank u Barker Towing!! Great service and great people! They boosted my car so I could bring it home! Thank u Barker Towing!

Remove and replace AC compressor and clutch. R&R evaporator coil. Wish they would've used NAPA Parts instead of Auto Zone. Working fine though.

I've known Vernon since we were kids, so yeah, my opinion may come off as a little biased...But, Barker's speaks for itself. The work staff on hand at Barker's, are professional and beyond knowledgeable, including Vernon.Each time I need repair work, inspections, or even suggestions or advice... If there is something Barker's aren't able to do, or don't offer, they'll be quick to lend you the info on who they trust with doing the job or service.I've never known Vernon to not help anyone, in any situation, if he's able to...hell, even if he isn't, he'll still try. And that includes at the shop, and outside the auto and tow business. Vernon's just a good guy.Regardless of my personal relationship with Vernon...BARKER'STOWING& AUTOSHOP...is just where I go!It's who I use, and it's who I reccomend when I'm asked.It has been since they've opened and I don't see that changing any time in the future.

I had a flat tire, stuck in the side of the road, called Barkers and they were quick to get there, loaded my car and drove me to the tire shop, driver was very friendly and professional. I have also had them work on my car a few times and they are fast, friendly and the prices are not outrageous, very affordable.. highly recommended Barker!!

When I first called to get a part fixed on my Toyota Tacoma the guy I talked to on the phone said it would be $75-$97 to fix. (I brought the parts they would need to fix it) When I dropped my truck off I told them if something came up and for some reason the price went up to call me first. They called me 30 minutes later saying it was going to cost right at $200, so I told him that's not what the guy quoted me that I would just come get it and fix it myself. So they asked who I talked to and I couldn't remember the guys name so he said he would call me back in a few minutes, and within 5 minutes he called back and said sorry about the misunderstanding but they always like to keep their word and only charged me $97 for it,,, I've taken vehicles to other places and almost always the price goes up but for them to believe me when I told them someone told me $97 and not just think I was trying to put one over on them was pretty awesome and after that they was done with my truck within an hour and a half.

This is a legit repair shop. The prices are reasonable, the mechanics are thorough and honest and I don't think I could trust anyone else to touch my vehicle. Highly recommend this place

The staff person we dealt with was rude to us from the time we went in ...he acted like he didn't want to help us then he kept our part we brought in as a reference .not happy with the service we walked out .we will go somewhere else even if we have to drive a couple hours to get our parts it's well worth not having to be treated like this
