IF I COULD GIVE 0 STARS I WOULD. IF YOU ARE A WOMAN DO NOT GO HERE, THEY ACT LIKE YOU'RE STUPID. Unless you want them to take your car fix things without telling you prices of anything or calling you, do not come here! Was quoted $380 for a thermostat for my car with labor decided against it and put it on myself, later on I take it in for an intake hose and an o ring for it and they charge me $340 saying it s labor?!? Horrible and trashy and ended up being way more out of pocket than if I went to a professional place! Trying to save someone the trouble.

What a great repair shop. My wife had a tire going flat, I knew we needed a patch. Harold's got us in within 20 minutes and had the repair done within 30 minutes. Great people and friendly service! Thank you!

They all are very good with getting your vehicle repaired in a timely manner and a reasonable price. The owner goes out of his way to do anything to help and even gave me a ride. The workers are very informative and explain the process and leave you feeling cared about.

I highly recommend Harold s for any of your car care needs. They really went above and beyond for me when I visited them. They are now my go-to garage for all my car care needs. I'll definitely be using Harold's Auto Repair shop for all my auto repair needs! He got me in at the last minute and made sure he got my inspection & emissions done before they closed for the weekend. If you ever need anything done with your car, this is the place to go. Absolutely amazing service. Quick, professional and friendly. I will be returning to Harold s Auto for all of my car needs in the futureUpdate: I came in with my car making a very loud noise, and I unknowingly showed up right before the shop was about to close. He took my car in anyway and quickly found the issue. He even then offered to fix it even though he was closed for the night. He was very professional and friendly, and I would recommend him to anyone who needs car work done! I will be continuing to return here for all of my car needs!

Got an inspection done here and I gotta say probably was the best interaction I ever had with an auto repair shop. very nice and friendly explained everything well and got it done in the time he said. I will definitely be bringing my vehicles to him from now on.

I needed a last-minute safety inspection on my car, I am usually not a procrastinator, but I have had a lot of stuff on my plate of late. I called around and Harold's was the only one willing to get me in same day. I was so grateful for their quick courteous service. They were obviously very busy, but took the time to get my car inspected. Thank you. I will certainly put the word out about my experience there.

Harold is a great guy and an amazing mechanic. I took my car to multiple mechanics to try to figure out what was wrong with it not a single one of them could figure it out. I took it to Harold and he was able to get it figured out pretty quick. I go to him for all my car issues. I won't go to anyone else.

I had my front driver side window glass replaced on my car. Harold was very upfront and honest about costs and he stuck to those costs while completing the work. He did a great job on my car and the job was complete and high quality. I definitely appreciated his honesty and he was very polite and easy to work with!

Had to have my vehicle towed Tuesday Night unexpectedly. Talked to Harold personally following morning and he promised the car would be in good care. Few hours later, car was diagnosed and was able to start the work and was finishing when I was stopping through after work. They explained the work and the guarantee. Good job guys. Appreciate your hard work and good service.

I have been here twice now and both times Harold was honest with me and got my truck fixed. There pretty cool here with no attitudes at all. Most places could have taken me for a lot of dough but not these dudes and I'm definitely coming back!

Honestly not worth your time or money. He's unprofessional, greedy, and tries to take advantage of women by charging them for more.Give Harold a car and he won't fix things up correctly the first time because he doesn't have the proper equipment to find the problem quickly and efficiently. He just guesses around which is why his prices are cheap in the short run and high in the long run. Go to a place where the mechanic will get you a proper read out of what's wrong and get it done right the first time. He complained about having to come after the car that he 'fixed' twice when it broke down and left my roommate abandoned along the interstate. The second time it broke down was on the way to Harold's shop to get it relooked at and my roommate called him. He was left for three hours (it was a forty minute drive to his shop) and kept getting told 'Oh Harold is on his way with a tow' by the receptionist when he would call to check in. Then a worker (who was not Harold) showed up (hours after we were told he was on his way) with just a battery (no tow.) Harold had to come later that day because the battery didn't do any good. Didn't appreciate being lied to, Harold. In reference to the worker that came, Harold felt the need to text my roommate that an 'African American man' was on his way so we 'wouldn't be scared'? I feel really sorry for the people he's got working there if he supports racist points of view.So Harold takes the car in. My roommate told both the worker that came to get it and the shop receptionist (when we called to check on the car) that he just wanted Harold to check the new alternator he placed in the car, and that he didn't want to sink any more money into the car because it would be traded off soon. When we went to pick up the car, we are presented with an approximately 200 dollar bill because Harold changed a hose and put radiator fluid and coolant in?? Two of those things of which I would have been happy to do myself?? I told Harold that it wasn't fair because he didn't ask for consent before doing this. I told him that I understood he needed money for his supplies and then asked him to take off the labor because like I said, my roommate didn't want to spend any more money on the car. He raised his voice at me and asked me 'Who are you to talk to me like this' and started yelling about doing us 'favors' by coming after the car twice. 1) This is my roommate's car, and he was too scared and guilt tripped to speak up to this man. That's why I spoke up. It doesn't matter who I am, Harold was doing wrong and I called him out on it. 2) Harold had to come get the car twice because he didn't fix it correctly in the first place. He didn't do any 'favors.'I left after he started yelling at me, and my roommate got 50% knocked off his labor charges. My roommate ended up dropping about $700 from his savings for a new car on Harold's 'repairs,' and we're personally taking the car to get another mechanic to inspect his work. It was pretty cool to get back into the car and find that the gas petal was undone as well as the radio. I personally fixed the non-working radio myself. It had just been undone. : ) Word of advice, don't raise your voice at a woman when she expresses concern over your work and overcharges.

Called around to find somewhere to have a alternator put on either it was WAY outside my budget or it would take them 2 days to get to it. A co worker Recommended Harold's i called and not only was he within my price range he got the car in and fixed that same day. For now on anything more serious than a oil change I'm Coming back. Great service called a couple times with updates of progress and even provided photos of progress. Will Recommend Harold's to all for now on. He is the pinnacle of what a local mechanic should be. Couldn't be happier

Harold is a very smart mechanic. It's hard to find cheaper prices for the level of quality he provides. .Hes one of the few honest mechanics. He won't fix things that aren't needed and won't charge for things not performed..highly recommended.

Our car broke down on a Sunday just outside St. Louis. We were headed back to Memphis another 4 hours away. The auto parts shop in Festus told us the alternator was the problem. They recommended Harold s Auto Shop even though it was a little further (5 miles) away than others. We had our car towed there, intending to leave the keys and a note of explanation and call in the morning. Harold was actually there catching up on work. He quickly confirmed that the problem was the alternator. He fixed it for a reasonable price and even helped us find someone to drive the car back to Memphis for us too. We are so pleased with the service, courtesy, attention to detail, and fair price!

Honest mechanic, works hard to give you the best deal. Treats his customers with respect and gives them the honest truth about what's wrong with their car not high balling it to take your dollar. Just look at his lot. He's well liked and always busy.

Harold seems like a nice guy but at the end of the day i felt like I got screwed. I was quoted a priced for two front hub bearings and the inner and outer tie rods. After harold got my car and I went to pick it up he said most the tie rods were good so they didn't fix those, they did to the hub bearings and one outer tie rod... but they put a new battery in my car (that wasn't old), changed my front brakes (which were brand new because we did them ourselves), changed a battery cable, changed my tires, put an o ring on the transmission line, ect. Without permission. I DID NOT ASK FOR EXTRA and I told him specifically I am lower income and couldn't afford alot. He then charged me more than my quote because of all the extra things he did without permission. After that, I was told he filled to the top my transmission fluid, power steering fluid, and oil. I drove to work the next day and noticed my transmission slipping then the engine light came on (which NEVER has been on in my car), so I check the fluid and the transmission fluid is bone dry. Drove my car straight back and his helper said "I put 1 to 2 quarts in it"... yeah, in a BONE DRY car? We had to put 4 to 5 more to fill it properly.I like that certain things are fixed and safe, but I do not like the sneaky, sly way it was done and the fact that not once was I called to be informed that they were fixing extra stuff I didn't ask to be fixed.

Just an update on my previous review (roommate's car.) I did not threaten, harass, or name call Harold in my previous review, which I also left through the Better Business Bureau. I simply told the honest truth about our experience. An image of the email he sent me in response is uploaded. Notice how he calls me names, questions my mental status, and brings my family into the matter.I had a right to speak to him; my roommate and I share costs. This is also my roommate's car, not his mother's. My adult roommate did not give consent to the work to be done on the car, and the car is still not fixed after $700. That is what matters. Do you really want to bring your car here if this is how he treats his customers during a disagreement? What would you do if he treats your kids or your family in this manner? UNPROFESSIONAL AND CHILDISH.(If Google shadow bans my screenshot it will also be uploaded to business photos)

My daughter and I were driving from MN to the Gulf Shores and my car broke down in Missouri. Harold got us in right away, ordered parts and we were on our way in 2 hours. He was such a nice and honest guy.

Car has been there for 8 months.. I drove it in and now it doesn't even start. They said I didn't tell them what all was wrong with it. All I wanted was Glow plugs changed.. BIG MISTAKE.. DONT GO HERE!!

Couldn t ask for a better price and more friendly mechanic. They even drove me back to the house so that I could wait in comfort and offered to come get me when it was finished. Excellent customer service.

Don't bring your vehicle here they've had my vehicle for 3 weeks and kept saying "we haven't looked at it" or "we don't know what's wrong with it" every time I've called them
