Our car was pretty bad when we had it towed to Ashbys to diagnose. They were wonderful! It was so nice to be able to communicate via text instead of playing phone tag all day. We have been a long time customer of another shop in Parkville, but we may just have a new favorite shop to use. Hope was so nice and pleasant to work with. No one wants to have to spend money on fixing their cars but it makes it a lot easier when the place you take it to is so great!Services: Steering & suspension repair, Steering & suspension replacement

Welcoming and accessible! The process of setting an inspection and service appointment for my Nissan SUV was straightforward with no errors or rescheduling needed. Both appointments took less than an hour and the comfortable waiting area is available while the talented mechanics carry out their work.There is no upselling or talking around the price; what you get told before service is what you pay for and check out is simple and quick. As far as I'm concerned this is the only auto shop I need to visit from now on.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Brakes

I needed a safety inspection performed to register a vehicle of mine and was looking for a garage in Parkville. My mother recommended Ashby's to me and mentioned she has been pleased with their service before. As a first time customer I could not be more satisfied with my experience. The staff were very courteous and although there we clearly other projects going on when I arrived, I was still in and out in about 30 minutes, having scheduled no appointment beforehand. I really appreciated how convenient the experience was made for me. I enthusiastically recommend Ashby's to others seeking automotive services.

I have been taking my car to be serviced monthly by Ashby's Auto for about 10 months now. Their staff is extremely welcoming and professional every time! They are accommodating and quick with their services. I highly recommend that everyone to go to this place! It's worth the drive if you're not close to them!

I have brought my vehicle to Ashby's multiple times over the past few years as it was highly recommended by my co-workers. They have helped me in a variety of ways (oil changes, inspections, major issues) and they have always done great.I highly recommend Ashby's as they do the right things and provide great customer service (which is a dying art now days).

They were able to work me in their schedule, even when I was running late. The attendant was friendly and professional. I was there for a motorcycle inspection, and was processed quickly. Will go again for my next inspection!

Woke up to discover one of the rear tires on my wife's car was flat. AAA came out and aired it back up but I know I needed to get it fixed quick. We just moved to Parkville earlier that year so I decided to try out one of the local shops. Because of their high ratings I contacted Ashby's and they agreed to look at my car at 1pm. They removed a screw and a small nail and plugged up the leaks at a super low cost. I was in and out of there in right at 40 minutes. Ashby's is awesome. I highly recommend them.

I took my car up there without an appointment just to get a bid on my windshield molding that was hanging loose on both sides of my windshield. Even though they don't work on windshields, they came out and put a temporary hold on my windshield free of charge, and referred me to where I needed to go. Quality customer service, wont go anywhere else.

I had a scheduled appointment for installation of equipment on Friday May, 11, 2018. I approached the shop desk about 15 minutes before my appointment. My wife, which had gotten the day off only for this appointment, stood there for 10 minutes. I began to ring the bell on the desk...no answer. 5 minutes later, I actually called the number to Ashby's while inside, I heard the phone ringing inside while I was there..nothing. I was absolutely dumbfounded. I walked out to the garage, and asked, a gentleman that was on his phone if there where is anybody that could help me inside. Minutes after a gentleman with a large beard, walked in. I told him I had an appointment for an installation. Without looking at anything he told me that there were no appointments, and even if there was the manager and the technician weren't there. I guess wasting a whole afternoon of a customers time, even with an appointment booked, is something that is acceptable here. I would not schedule any service with this company and its conjoined neighbor. There have been zero instances of a lack of customer service, that I can compare to this. This place literally doesn't care about trying to resolve customer concerns.

It's rare you find an auto repair place that feels like family. I hope they never change. They take great care in providing accurate estimates, additional information when prompted, and fair pricing. The turnaround time was great too. There are 3 in our family who trust our cars with Ashby's now.

If you don't have time to call during business hours, they have a great website that let's you ask questions, request an appointment, and even fill out a form explaining what needs to be done to your vehicle - really convenient!! When you get there, you'll find Hope at the desk with a warm smile and a willingness to help. They really seem to care about taking care of your car and getting you back on the road.

Had a pretty bad coolant leak unexpectedly last week, they got me in on extremely short notice and replaced the broken coolant line(s) the same day. I experienced another bad leak the next morning, they got me in, and replaced the defective part(s) free of charge and I had my car the same day. Unfortunately I was still experiencing a bit of a leak come Tuesday morning. They of course, got me in again and made sure everything was tightened down enough and had my car done Tuesday afternoon. Everything seems to be fine now, so I won't have to harass them anymore (heh).Thanks to Hope and Chaence for being so kind, helpful, and accommodating.

Being a female, mechanics usually talk to me like I m stupid and try and make me scared into getting stuff done on my car that I don t need. Hope is not like that at all. She talks to me with respect and never uses scary terms unless she needs to. I had recently bought a 2017 ford fusion from carmax, brought it in for an inspection. Was in and out in 10 mins and it only cost 12 dollars. Very easy, friendly, and simple. Only real complaint is the parkings weird but hey what are you gonna do about something you can't fix. Would definitely recommend and use them again.

I had to edit this review. I was initially very pleased with the services rendered. My second time there I felt like I got hosed a little bit. Their explanation was reasonable, but my gut told me otherwise and they've lost my business.

Long story short, extremely well at communicating, brought a car with 300k and they let me know before they did anything. The only negative is they are short staff, but they do what they can and shoot honest realistic timeframes.

Recently brought my perfectly running van into Ashby's for an inspection. The mechanic said it failed because my power steering fluid was "producing droplets." I work on my car and I can tell you there isn't a vehicle out there over 150,000 that won't "produce droplets" of some kind. Failing an inspection for petty fluid leaks does not hold true to the spirit of what an inspection is for. It's to assure that the care is safe to drive for the owner and others. An intensely slow leak (I've monitored it for years and was never a cause for concern) is no reason to fail an inspection. BEWARE. Garages that look for little things like this to garner more service and business for themselves do not have the owner's best interest at heart. I've taken my vehicle to the same place for years and brought it here for convenience sake. Looks like I'm going back to the guys I trust.

This absolutely is the first time I have taken my car in for repairs and felt that I have been given an honest estimate on the problem and the repair cost to fix my car. Great service, great people, and where I will go from now on for all of my vehicle maintenance!

This place didn't want my business they think I was there on Thanksgiving when they were closed i was there in October and from out of town my wife's grandmother died and her Uncle helped me get a tire fixed we waited an hour and I had to get back home 600 miles away they didnt want my business so we left and went to Mike's a little farther done from them and was in and out in 20 minutes or less.

Asked them to look into what was causing my husband's vehicle to run rough. Replaced to battery and alternator, which did not fix the issue. Picked up the vehicle and it broke down on the way home. Got it towed home, had a friend come look at it and the issue was the water pump, spark plugs and wires.

They did great work at a more than fair price, and they worked hard to make my repairs affordable. I don't trust anyone else with my car.
