My car went crazy after a jump start. Several warning lights showed up. I tried to drive it and if performed terribly. I called and then had my car towed here. After some great mechanic detective work, he found that the place that installed my battery didn t connect it correctly. Anyway, not only did he fix the issue, he drove my car to me so I could get it sooner. No more warning lights and it drove as before. I d highly recommend this place. I mean he could have easily told me my alternator needed replaced. He was honest. Great guy too. Fun to talk to.

I needed to get some tires flipped on the rims and balanced. Jerry got me right in. He did the job that I asked him to do and alerted me to a problem that one tire had. I ordered a new tire and Jerry was kind enough to stay late the day the tire was delivered so he could mount and balance it so that I could get my trailer ready for the road.

I had an engine go out over the holiday weekend. The mechanic was very knowledgeable and rather than taking advantage of me, he looked up the recall on my car. He told me that he could do the repair for me, but the dealership would not pay for it. He then let me park the car there while I arranged a tow to the dealership. 100% recommend!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Steve took such good care of me with such short notice ac was having issues. Steve is very knowledgeable and understanding, he is who you look for when no one else can help. He puts the best out for local businesses! I will always pick Steve for my vehicle issues.

Steve is a good knowledgeable mechanic. I had him do some exhaust work on my 1991 jeep Cherokee and he was able to get me in the next day. The welds look good and he also notified me of a few other mechanical issues that I suspected needed attention (u joints and a radiator hose).

Was in town from KC doing work on the weekend. Needed brake pads and rotors. This was the only place I could find on a Saturday that was available.Steve the owner was excellent and very knowledgeable. 10/10 would recommend!

The best mechanic to take your vehicle to! I brought my car on a whim because I needed a repair while I was off work and left completely satisfied with the owner going above and beyond for me. Another mechanic had placed the completely wrong battery in my car and Gerbig went out of the way to make sure the issue was corrected with the other mechanic himself even though my repair had nothing to do with my battery! Will forever take my car back to Gerbig s so that I can drive away knowing that myself and my children are safe in my vehicle with the PROPER repairs and equipment.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Showed up during business hours and no one was there. There was a note on the door and a phone number saying they are in and out due to being a one man shop and to call, but calling twice led me to voicemail. I left one, but no one called back or showed up for quite a while until I just left. Not very professional to not be reachable at least if no one is able to be there :/

The absolute BEST place to take your car for repair in the area. I was staying in the area for just a few days and had a pretty significant car issue arise (rotors and brake pads - wheel was suddenly shaking like crazy any time I braked). Steve very quickly diagnosed the problem, offered two possible solutions, got the specific parts for my car, and installed everything perfectly in just a few short hours. On top of that, he was an unbelievably pleasant and kind man to work with and charged me significantly less than I've paid for other similar auto work in the past. Could not recommend him any more!

Honest, fair priced, and great customer service. This is my first review I have ever written, but I feel this guy deserves 5-stars. Seems like the only people that write reviews are angry people. I am also a small business owner, I'm here to tell you that you cannot make everyone happy! I for one, am VERY happy with the work done by Steve.My CV joints were starting to make noise, so he replaced both of them. While he was working on my car, he noticed the shocks were worn out as well. Before replacing them, he called me, explained everything in terms I could understand, and gave me choices to work with my budget.I would highly recommend him to anyone! VERY SATISFIED!!!

Had sort of emergency with front right tire mechanism that had metal rubbing metal, so pretty serious and needed attention. Called here he said come on over, took less than 1 hour and had my 2020 Lincoln Aviator like new! Great guy, great business. I like old school mechanics. We were on a road trip when our brakes started acting up. At 4:00 on a Friday afternoon most places could have turned us away, but Gerbig's jumped right in to help fix the brake issues to get us back on the road. Very thankful and blessed for the great work and fair prices.

Been taking my vehicles to Steve for over 10 years. From domestics to imports he is one of the most knowledgeable and honest mechanics at the Lake. He won't sugarcoat a bad situation, because he believes in fixing a problem correctly! Sometimes folks don't want to hear how poor of condition their car is in. Don't blame Steve when you bring your basket case in and he can't fix it with fairy dust and $25. From electronics issues to complete exhaust systems there isn't anything I've thrown in front of Steve that he hasn't solved. Did I forget to mention great prices on oil changes and tires? Gerbig's is all service shop with a honest (sometimes painfully) owner!

Great service! Gave a detailed explanation of car's issues and was extremely honest and fair. He personally showed me exactly where the car was messing-up and explained everything! I will definitely return because of the quality customer service and expertise!

While on vacation last week our emergency brake stuck causing our brakes to stick also. We went in on Monday afternoon met the owner/mechanic who got us in right away, diagnosed the problem, got everything fixed and got us on our way. On the way back to our resort we slammed on the brakes causing a horrible smell. Steve told us to come back and he would double check everything. Thankfully everything was fine. We were so thankful that he took the time to check our vehicle again. As disappointing as it is to have car trouble on vacation I am happy to have done business with Gerbig s Auto.

Steve provided very good service for me today...I noticed that he even vacuumed some leaves between my hood and windshield and found a problem with my car that could have given me considerable problems in the future. He checked all my fluids for me and filled them. Also, it's important to note that he explains what he does in a way that even someone who is not real "car savvy" can understand.

I have been taking my cars here for 8 years. Steve never lies to me about anything he finds and how serious it is to get it taken care of. Have never had to have his work redone and he does his best to meet his time estimate for how long my car is going to be in the shop, even when it us fighting him.

Gerbigs was right there when our powerboat trailer blew apart. Axles, brakes, bearings, tires, all trashed. He committed to getting it done on a Saturday and having us home safe with our boat! His sign reads, We fix what others can t . This proclaims that others have enjoyed the same experience that I recently had. My car had multiple issues that 2 other reputable but less able repair clinics had either miss-diagnosed or missed altogether. Steve s methodology of diving deep into the matter until he understands the problem is unparalleled. He then not only explains the problem but shows you the parts at the cause of it. Also, he is unmatched at his willingness to stand behind his work. This results in you driving away in a car that has its problems resolved and your mind is at ease. In my 45 years of driving experience I have finally finished searching for a highly qualified technician. Steve is the mechanic s mechanic.

I loved how no b.s. the guy is, I had an issue with my engine overheating even though it wasn't actually overheating...confusing issue and outside my wheelhouse. He was able to diagnose and take care of the issue in about an hour and I was back on the interstate, and learned a few things during the visit. I will definitely be back whenever I can and cannot recommend him high enough, good and fair and a damn good conversationalist <3
