Looking for an SUV, I called up UNIVERSAL hoping I could find the SUV I was looking for. Jon Day was able to answer all my questions, and if he didn't know the answer, he called back. UNIVERSAL, Jon Day, and his management team are fantastic to work with. I did up buying a brand-new Buick with massive rebates (over $10k) at another dealer. I certainly wish UNIVERSAL would add BUICK to their lineup, as I'm 100% certain I would have made the purchase from this dealership. If you contact or visit this dealer, my suggestion is to ask for Jon Day, (long bearded guy). Your experience will be stress free, friendly, honest, and transparent.

Absolutely loved my experience at universal. Turner was the perfect salesman. He made the process quick and easy. I brought my young daughter with me so, I appreciate the fact that they had a kid friendly environment to keep her occupied. Over all my whole experience was great. I love my new car! I would definitely recommend to others.

Update - 3/20/24A couple days went by and the noise was still there as I informed them it was, they got it back in and fixed the issue in a very timely manner! In the process the windshield got cracked somehow they informed me it would be taken care of also as well. Only downside is I have to repay for the tint and still haven't heard back but not a huge deal. I came across an issue with the 2nd loaner they put me in and John was quick to arrange and make sure I could get into another loaner. Granted I just put $30 into the loaner for gas that had an issue and then had to turn around and put another $50 into the new loaner so I was kinda bummed I lost out on the wasted gas but I'm supposed to get reimbursed for it but still haven't heard anything back from the beard man (Jon Day) yet on that.. but overall if I had to get another vehicle here I'd make sure to go Jon Day (big bearded fellow) because I know he will make sure im satisfied with everything before signing any papers without there being any pressure.2/4/24I came across the exact truck I was looking for here. They had many options giving the circumstances of finding the one I wanted in particular Jon Day (long bearded guy) was very patient with us and wasn't pushy at all. He even took us to another one of his dealer location and signed and what not. It was a pretty easy going process. I was driving the truck the very next day after getting it washed I was hearing a weird noise from the front end witch ended up being part of an intergrated wheel hub after they took a look at it I guess.. I also mentioned that the wipers didn't operate as they should fast setting was like your slowest setting on the wiper operation.. Bill the GM said they would honor the faulty wipers and the front end issue noise not having to pay out of pocket since that's something that should have been addressed and fixed before the vehicle was even sold. I had to drive an hour away just to get to this location but it was 100% worth it to get what I wanted. They could not get the repairs done same day so they gave me a nice loaner for a couple weeks so I could get back to work while the repairs were getting done. I have no gripes with my satisfaction from this location. Everyone has been friendly and patient with me. I highly recommend going and seeing Jon for a vehicle if you are in the market for one. I would recommend them! 5/5 stars for me! Thank you CDJR!

I recently purchased a Jeep Grand Cherokee from Universal. I ve purchased many vehicles over the years at various dealerships and this was hands down the best and smoothest experience I ve ever had. Phil Falke and Bill Norton took amazing great care of me. They actually found the perfect vehicle I d been looking for and had it within a few days for me to pick up. They even gave me a great price on my trade. And BONUS it was not hours upon hours of waiting and paperwork. They truly went above and beyond.

Having recently sold my truck, our family was down to one car (and we double as taxi drivers for 2 active sports kids), so I needed to find a new one in short order. Complicating matters, I m picky when it comes to cars and had a tight budget to keep to. As I searched far and wide on 3rd party apps like CarGurus, I kept finding listings that would lead me to Universal Auto Plaza. I live on the complete opposite side of the KC metro, so was hesitant to commit to that trek. But I m so glad I did.I was lucky to work with Turner Reed, who had a couple of cars ready for me to test out that day. He even had one brought in from another location on just a couple hours notice. I enjoyed getting to know Turner, and he made the whole buying experience run smoothly. Honestly, all of the folks at this dealership seem down to earth and it s a very easy going low pressure atmosphere. Having been to a few other dealerships with high pressure corny sales cultures, I couldn t have been more at ease.I would gladly do business with Turner and the broader team at Universal, and recommend them now to friends and family.

Bought a wrangler from Universal. Part of the deal was to put all new door seals in and fix the heater core. That was done in the Odessa MO location. I can only highly recommend them. They are honorable, nice, treat one with respect and do impeccable work. I'm a very pick person and I was 150 % satisfied. Thanks so much guys.

Turner was so great at helping me pick my perfect vehicle. He allowed me to feel comfortable. When I had questions he was very quick in his response time. I would give him a higher rating if I could! Most places you go are sketchy and trying to make a quick buck, this place was beyond professional and I thank Turner for it! Will definitely come back and or recommend to friends and family!

Great buying experience! Hunter was my salesman and I came up to the new dealership in Odessa just to start looking for a new to me vehicle. Hunter approached me and immediately started a no pressure personable conversation. He put me in the vehicle I originally came there to look at and took me for a drive and answered all my questions, if he didn t know, he found out. I liked the vehicle but wanted to see what else was out there. I wanted to see the Subaru Outback that was there and he accommodated me and even brought Nick (Sales Manager) out to explain the Subaru to me as he was a Subaru guru. Test drove it, decided I wanted it, they gave me a reasonable deal on my trade in, and assured me I would get the deal I wanted. Larry(Business Manager) found me an even better interest rate than my prequalification and I walked out unstressed with the vehicle I wanted with the deal I wanted. Great team, will be back!

My sales guy Jon was very helpful and professional during my shopping. I'm really happy with my purchase. I highly recommend prequalifying with Capitol One through Universals website - I entered knowing the terms I was comfortable with and pre-approved for and stuck to that firmly when the finance guy took over from Jon. Overall, I love my Jeep, and it was a pleasant experience!

Had a good experience! I was in luck on finding a car here. Wasn t really wanting a ford but I drove it and it was extremely clean and well maintained. Really needed a car! I was in love with this suv. The only thing I would say they need to work on is explaining your contract instead of having you read it over yourself on your phone. Explaining the APR and ALL the numbers to me. Don t just show me the cost of the car on paper then send me the other additional charges to me virtually. Didn t explain anything to me directly. I also wish I known the return policy possibly if the next day I found something better. The manager said it s already yours, you already took it off the lot very dismissive lol however EVERYONE has a return policy. It gives weird vibes. I don t want to return my car but just for instance I was asking just to know the policy.Anahi was amazing! I sent my sister there the next day! She didn't have any luck but possibly will have more customers in the future. Thanks!

Update!!! They only care to sell you the car, after that if they screwed up on the title and you have to drive an hour out of your way, after waiting an hour at the dmv, they do nothing to compensate you. I didn't even get an apology.Void:Excellent experience, no one was pushy, got a much better deal than expected.

The dealership allowed us to go through car as much as we wanted. They gave us all build paperwork and all info on what they have done to car. Treated us like family! Great 3 month warranty!! Great people gave us a great deal.

Made an appointment to look at a 2017 RAV4. Took almost 20 minutes to get a salesman to help us. We purchased the vehicle after the typical back and forth between "boss" and salesman. Would suggest to anyone wanting to make a purchase here get the vehicle checked by an independent inspector as we had issues with a brake caliper coming off on our way home. Fortunately, it wasn't on the interstate while we were going 70 mph.Update: Salesman followed up with a phone call to see how our weekend went. When I informed him about the brake issue, he was very apologetic and offered to repair it. We had already purchased the part and were in the process of repairing it, so they offered and did reimburse us the cost to repair. So far, everything else on the car is great. Changed rating from 2 to 4 stars.

This dealership sold my 81 year old veteran father a 2016 Dodge Ram that would not even pass inspection. When the truck was taken to a reputable dealership in town, we learned that the truck was not safe to drive. They passed it on inspection and issued a Missouri temporary tag. The GM, Patrick Deery does not understand that they failed to follow regulations regarding inspection and licensure and refuses to repair the vehicle that they sold. This dealership does not possess small town values and has no regard to human life. You would be better off going to a junk yard to buy your next vehicle!

The staff here are very knowledgeable, polite, and helpful. I bought a new car and they made me feel very comfortable and answered all my questions. Thanks to my salesman, Jon Day. Definitely suggest you go talk to him. He was very down to earth and gave me a very non intimidating experience. I'd definitely buy another car from him. Nic and Larry there are just as nice and polite.
