Now I know why everyone in town recommends this place! They just do a good job. To be honest I was really bummed out it took a day extra to get it done. I brought them an aftermarket lift kit and parts to do my brakes. They didn t give me a hard time about me bringing my own parts in. They were always really nice, honest, and upfront. I got my car back the way I wanted it. They did a great job! Happy to support this local Family business. Finally I found a shop that are top notch about the work and not crooks on the bill.

My grandparents always go to this place and recommended it to me. Took my car here because my brakes were squeaking and got it repaired, drove it home and realized the tire covers/ skid plate or whatever they were called were not put on properly. Drover it back there and it was in even worse shape and my car just sat there while they did nothing to fix it. I couldn t go any longer getting rides to school so I had to pick it up myself and my boyfriend ended up fixing it for me. Don t go here unless you re elderly and then maybe they ll give you good service.

A mechanic shop you can actually trust! Blew my mind! They are transparent with the diagnosis so I can make an informed decision. They are very friendly and don't start work without communicating with the customer first. The work they do is top-notch. Thank you, Steve's Automotive, for making my vehicle safe for my family.

Steve's is the only place we take our vehicles. The office staff is excellent, they have fair prices, honest quotes, they always get consent if additional work is needed, and we've never had issues with the work performed. There is a reason this place is always busy.

Just had a fuel pump replaced and out of the several shops I called they were by far the cheapest by half the price and even were able to find a bad fuel line on my 18 year old vehicle. Had to wait a week because of how busy but worth the service and money saved.

Absolutely awesome place to bring your vehicle for service. After growing up with a father in auto repair and our family daily driver having some hiccups after a near 2000 miles journey. We talked to some neighbors and found Steve s! We brought it in after scheduling an appointment and they got her done just right! I had called a tow truck to take my car somewhere to be fixed and the driver told me, " oh please no, don't take it there " and super highly recommend taking it to Steve's. My car was brought it on a Thursday and picked up the next day! They fixed it! They are amazing and super friendly and now I'll be taking all my business there!!

Had to wait to get my truck in but was definitely worth the wait. Had 20+ other mechanics turn the work down. I came here for a vehicle inspection for my 2000 Ford Ranger, which is a requirement by the state, in order to get my registration renewed. Having had this vehicle inspection completed twice before, by two different mechanics, it was the first time I had never been required to get repairs completed. It was nice that they didn t try to milk me for needless repairs. Seemed honest, friendly, and fast. I will use them again and recommend them to my friends and family!

I really like Steve's automotive. The mechanics seemed like they were very experienced. I had to bring my 07 Nissan Murano to them on a trailer and they even helped me with the unload. They figured out quickly what the problem was with my car (a bad 02 sensor) and did a fast repair.

Steve's Automotive was the third (and final) shop I brought my 05 Ranger to for what I was originally told was a transmission and rear differential problem. I paid $116 at another shop for them to tell me the trans was going out and the rear diff needed to be replaced. I then took it to a transmission shop and was told it was not the transmission and they referred me to Steve's. He was able to diagnose the issue immediately after driving it. Steve and his crew worked their butts off to get my Ranger back up in tip top shape. I'm very pleased with the service they provided and overall, they were pretty affordable considering everything they did. They are honest and very knowledgeable. I have never found an auto shop that was both honest and trustworthy until now. I will continue to use Steve's for all my automotive needs. Thanks again y'all.

Steve s had good reviews online so I chose to take my van when it overheated. They replaced the thermostat and some plastic connectors. And fixed my check engine light (due to a loose intake connection). Reasonably priced. Very busy place but still got my work done in a timely manner. I was referred to Steve s by a friend. They use him for all there vehicles and had told me how amazing his shop is. So naturally I didn t hesitate to take my own vehicle there. I was so impressed with the shop and the Cleanliness of his lobby. I personally spoke with Steve about my car troubles and he actually listen to me and didn t make me feel like I was over exaggerating or crazy for the noises I was hearing he took the time to look over my vehicle and pinpointed the problem very quickly. The shop is not only knowledgeable but family friendly as well as very affordable. Had to take my truck in to have them check the brakes for me because I thought I had a caliber going out. He drove it to figure out what was going on give me advice on what he would do to fix it and gave me a few tips. They never pressured me to spend money or do anything unnecessary like you often see. But genuinely just wanted to help. I will definitely be taking any vehicle I have here no matter what from now on. Amazing place super trustworthy!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Brakes

Best place to get almost anything done on almost every vehicle. Always easy to work with. Recommend booking ahead! They've got a lot of people who love them so they're often full of vehicles :)

Thanks Steve s for providing quality repairs and excellent guidance! So glad to have found my guy for auto repair in Nixa.Took in a Ford Fusion that kept throwing the belt. They recommended starting by just replacing the tensioner first. If that didn t fix the issue then they would replace the alternator and water pump. Both showed signs of wear and could be justified to replace, but they didn t want to push for it, if it wasn t necessary.It s not normal for a mechanic to fix the problem without pushing for additional things to boost the bill. Steve s is that unicorn. They do the work necessary, advise on additional work, but don t push for it. Couldn t be happier. I ve recommended them many times in the last month.

Steve and his employees do a great job with just about any car issue you might have. Been going to Steve for years and they always go out of the way for us. Routine oil change to major repairs, quality work at a reasonable price.

This place is amazing! They put four new tires on my car, did an alignment, and made another repair quickly and for a fair price. Then when I found a screw in my tire a little over a month later they took really good care of me. I will always use them.

They are aways honest and never try to up-sell me, and on more than one occasion have squeezed me in quick for a new battery or oil change. I really appreciate their service and would definitely recommend to others!

This is my first ever online review, for or against any company, and I m glad it s a positive one. I went to Steve s Automotive this afternoon, asked that they check/fix a problem with my brake. After waiting for ~10 minutes, the lady at the reception told me that they checked the car, and they think the problem was a low brake fluid. To my surprise, they had already topped up my brake fluid, and did not charge me for it. I take my car to the mechanic fairly frequently, and I always pay for diagnosis, so this was quite unexpected. Thank you guys and God bless your work!

This place is awesome and trustworthy! My X5 said they battery was low, so I took it in for a new battery and oil change. They tested the battery before replacing it, and come to find out the battery was good, just a loose cable. They could have easily charged me for a new battery, but they nope, they just tightened the cable, and good as new!Services: Electrical, Battery, Oil change

I had them replaced the engine in my truck. They did everything they said they would do and it was done well. The entire staff was friendly and courteous. The only criticism that I have is that it took longer to get the job done than what was stated upfront and they were not so good about giving updates as to when the work would be completed.

Steve and his staff are so friendly. If you are looking for an honest reasonable mechanic this is the place to go. He will tell you what needs fixed & help you decide what to do if you can't afford all of the fixes. He doesn't try to get you to fix something that isnt needed & asks you before he fixes the problem. As a woman it is refreshing to go to a mechanic that has my complete trust. I was very impressed with Steve's. They are great!
