Don't stay at this motel. The rooms were way dirtier than should be acceptable. The bed coverlet was extremely stained, top and bottom. The carpets had a 2 inch edge of filth around the whole room. Dust was everywhere. Cobwebs were between headboard and nightstand. Mouse feces were on the inside windowsill and on the bathroom floor. We saw a cockroach in the hallway on the ceiling. I definitely would stay anywhere else than this place.

We are staying here for three nights during a visit to the Oktoberfest in Hermann. The staff are courteous and responsive. The rooms are clean. It seems relatively quiet although there are a number of long term residents. I am not a picky person where lodgings are concerned. If the beds and rooms are clean and there aren't a bunch of sketchy characters hanging out in the lobby or the parking lot, I'm good. So yeah, it's old and a little shabby, so what. For 92 bucks a night I don't expect a palace. This place is very handy to Hermann, and we will remember it for next time. Staying in Hermann is too rich for my blood and staying in Warrenton is too far away.

Room was not clean at all. Stained sheets, bedspread, towels, shower curtain. You could see the carpet hadn't been vacuumed & the bathroom floor was also visibly dirty. Had an issue where the toilet clogged, staff brought a plunger to the room but didn't do the plunging....just left it with us. Website states amenities include breakfast & pool; both of which were shut down due to lack of staff. No elevator to second floor. Very hard mattress. Hallways smelled of smoke since there are smoking rooms still?! Thankfully the AC worked very well so that was nice to come back to after being outside in the heat all day. Location was good enough to event we were attending but overall not a great experience. Will not return & would not recommend to anyone.

UPDATE:Stayed here again 12-18-23 Everything is same as the 1st review below, except they changed bed frames from the wooden ones with slats, box springs, and bed skirts to a more sturdy metal frame, it looks nice, it does have a bar on each side, my quess would be to keep the mattress from sliding either way, be carefull when sitting on bed directly in the middle you will feel it behind your leg. I don't know how old they are, but they do not creek & crack like most wood frames do, it is quiet. I had a chance to sit longer in the chairs at the table this time, they are ok but after awhile they get hard because they are all wood, like I stated previously they need updated. But overall its still clean, so I will return, if I come back this way again.1st, Original reviewThe staff is friendly, the rooms need a little updating but they were clean. Thay allow pets, but the rooms and hall did not stink like some places do with that stale mildewy smell, it was fresh. Will stay there again!Rooms: There's a microwave & mini fridge in each room.Nearby activities: There is a small park approx.2 1/2 - 3 miles down the roadSafety: It's well lit at night, you can see everything in the spacious parking lot, it's huge, plenty of room for lg Diesel trucks & numerous cars. There are cameras inside and out.Walkability: There is a resturaunt across the parking lot, and McDonalds two doors down from that.Food & drinks: Across the interstate is an Arbys, & gas stations, on both sides. I don't like the turn about the state put in, but it is what it is. Its not far but you will want to drive.

The location was nice and very quiet. You could smell cigarettes in the hallway, and the room wasn't very clean. The linens were stained, bathroom floor was dirty and all the light fixtures had a thick layer of dust. The pool was closed and they were not providing any breakfast. For an extra $20 - $30 I could have stayed somewhere much nicer.

Stayed here in a crunch and wasn't thinking. My fault. But want to warn others. Do not stay here. It's old and dirty. The AC was dirty and not maintained, failed to cool the room. Vents in bathroom were dirty and caked with 30 years of muck. I want to say bed bugs because I've been itching all morning, even after my shower. But can't say for certain. My recommendations is drive another 18 miles and stay at Holiday Inn. Not worth the 120 I paid.

No breakfast at all. Same sign in all Indian owned hotels. No food due to lack of help. They sure did not discount, for the lack of food. Very dirty place and I would not stay again for any reason.Rooms: Very dirty, peeling paint and worn out floors. Beds were very uncomfortable.

Horrible hotel. It was the only one we could find near the town we were visiting for a last minute trip. Wet wash cloth on counter when we checked in room. Sheets, pillows and towels were dingy and yellow. Shower curtain dirty. Frig freezer frozen over and leaking because it wouldn t shut. Something sticky on remote. Roaches in bathroom in middle of night. No bed bugs as far as we know. Old property and outdated. No amenities. $150 per night with additional pet fees (2 dogs)

Avoid this hotel at all costs. There were smashed windows on the second floor and no lights on at all. The heater and lock to the room didn't work. The bed felt like a wooden trampoline. Across the street was a McDonald's that appeared to be getting robbed as police were responding. I didn't stay the night. I returned the room keys to the manager and told him I was not staying- he nodded and gave me the look of "I understand, go save yourself." If you like your life or don't feel like getting robbed, or maybe just desire a good night of sleep, just drive 30 minutes further west on 70 and stay at the Holiday Inn express. I've felt safer in Kandahar than at this hotel.

The service i got from the lady at the front desk was super nice and helpful. Couldn't say she needs improvement at all. My only complaint was the condition the mini fridge was inside my room. It seemed to have been discolored inside, like it was very old stains or maybe not properly cleaned and had a not so fresh odor about it. Other than appliances the room was very charming to the feel of a cabin almost and comfortable. So wouldn't say I would give it a bad review but maybe just where it can be improved to be better.

The pictures are not accurate. The lobby was crawling with bugs. We tried to get out of our reservation, but didn t want to have to pay for the room anyway and it was late at night. The sheets and cover had stains. The non-smoking room still had a strong smoking smell. There are interesting stains and holes on the wall. The only nice part was the staff member working the front desk. She was kind and professional. But avoid staying here if possible!

Stained and mildewed towels, previous guests drinks in the refrigerator, broken shower head, toilet obviously hasn't been cleaned in months, if ever! It was stained and sticky!!! If we hadn't been on the road for 14+ hours, would have kept looking. TV doesn't even work! A/C so loud it gave me a migraine and didn't even chill the roomDISGUSTING!!! WORST HOTEL I'VE EVER STAYED IN!!! Now watch - they're gonna say "Thanks for staying with us" READ YOUR REVIEWS AND DO BETTER INSTEAD OF IGNORING THE PROBLEM!

Room was not clean. Carpet was stained and sticky, drawer handles were filthy, and light switches were very dirty. The smoke detector was hanging down from the ceiling, the TV was not plugged into the cable box and even after I plugged it in, the channel would not change. The microwave was unplugged, I plugged it in and tried to use it and it made odd sounds and smelled terrible, couldn't really use it. There was a big hole in the window screen. See attached pictures. The room and halls smelled of cigarette smoke. The few positive things: the front desk staff was very friendly, low price, they allow pets, and they have a large parking lot.

Keep Driving If You Can: This place is not very well managed. Clearly deteriorating along with the businesses around it. Current ownership does not seem to care about maintaining basic amenities. TV and AC in our first room was broken. Second room TV did not work until I fixed it. Remote still didn t work. It was clean though.

Walked in and the whole place smelled of garlic. The staff had pickled chicken feet or something in a jar on the front desk counter, no microwave or coffee maker in the room, smallest TV I ve ever seen, old outdated carpet, squeaky shower head, sheets and towels were gross and that s just the start. The front desk opens at 8am and I went down to get coffee and it was out. I got shouted at by the lady behind the desk saying I haven t gotten around to it yet so there is no coffee. I then went over and asked for more towels as mine were gross and we have 3 people staying the room only had enough towels for 2 to which she responded I can t do that for you because the laundry isn t done Overall bad stay, do not stay here unless you want an *interesting* experience to say the least. 1 star.

I would give it a -1. The hall smelled of cigarette smoke. The room was not clean, there was a white powder behind the table, chest and around the doors. I am guessing some sort of bug powder. There was no microwave in the room and the one in the lobby was filthy, I had to was it myself before using. I had to have them change my bedding, there were hairs on the pillowcases. It was the worse hotel I ever stayed at, but there are not many choices in the area. If I can help it I would not stay there again. I have photos for proof of my comments.

Great place for truck parking...food within walking distance...only issue? Room 107...would not lock.. Door lock...deadbolt... safety latch was broken. I didn't fret really. .nice quiet/safe place. Wanted to communicate these issues with the frontdesk but unfortunately no one available. There is a button you can push for service but that early in the morning? I didn't want to disturb the staff. Other than that? Very comfortable...quiet stay!

Not really worth the price you pay for the room. TV in living room had no picture, only volume and no remote control. Had to wipe out the tub before using it. Room was dated. Couch was braced back together. No breakfast or amenities. Nothing, absolutely nothing nearby. Wasn't impressed. We ended up not staying the entire not. Will not visit again...

If I could give this place a -10, I would. The rooms were very dirty and outdated. The bed sheets were dirty and stained. Someone had picked their nose and wiped the contents on the wall by the bed. The hallway stinks like cigarettes and I would never stay here again. The beds were also hard as a rock. The only positive thing I would say is the front desk woman was very friendly BUT she acted as if she was stoned. Took us a long time to check in because she kept messing up whatever she was doing on the computer.

Two stars. Because they allow pets, and had vacancy when we needed it.Beyond that.... the refrigerator had the last guests food still in it. It smelled like smoke, the carpet next to the baseboards was filthy, there was mouse poo in the drawers, some form of sticky stain on the night stand, the toilet was either stained or hadn't been cleaned, the sheets were either stained or hadn't been changed. But we love our dog, and the staff was nice enough.

Very nice man at front desk and very accommodating. The first room he gave us (111) smelled so bad of cat urine that we couldn't stay there and when we asked for another room, he was quick at giving us one and with a smile. Cute place inside. Reminds me of a lodge in the mountains. Although the hallway smelled like a lot of people were actively smoking in it, our nonsmoking room that we ended up with was fresh, spacious and clean. There is no coffee maker in room, and a sign on the front door apologized for not currently serving breakfast due to Covid. Fortunately, McDonald's is right there so all was well. For the price and employees, we would stay again.

It has been 4 weeks since my stay here - I have distraughtly pined over whether or not to provide a review of my stay at the Knights Inn, but after lengthy contemplation, I have made the decision that other travelers should have the opportunity to read the details of my experience.Unfortunately this hotel has fallen prey to bed bugs, and anyone who has stayed here should take measures to ensure that these pests have not left the confines of the hotel and potentially come home with you.As someone who does not have much experience with bed bugs, I was a bit horrified upon discovering them on the sheets, then in the mattresses, on the walls, etc. When confronted, a member of the custodial staff acknowledged that they were aware of this ongoing issue and have been trying to eradicate them. While they did indicate that they would fulfill any requests that I may make, I did not see much sense of urgency or elevated level of concern about the situation. Hours of additional time was spent steaming clothing, bagging possessions and taking all precaution to make sure no bugs travelled with me and beyond that point. The Owner or Manager of the facility did provide a refund in the full amount of the room rate, but only after I went to the front of the facility to discuss the issue with him.I am only able to provide a one-star review due to the unfortunate circumstances surrounding the stay. The staff was kind and the rustic element to the facility is a nice touch as well. Bedbugs do not discriminate so this may or may not be a reflection of the cleaning program. For the sake of everyone involved from guest to staff, I do hope that the hotel has been able to get the problem under control.
