HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE! We purchased a transmission from Highland Auto. In speaking with Ken, the owner, his statements were favorable, believable and even convincing. The first transmission had 3,000 miles on it and the cost was $1100. The labor was over $500. The transmission was faulty/bad.(keep in mind with the first transmission, within a week, I let him know about the transmission being bad. Well within the 6 month period warranty he gave me). It took days for them to declare that the transmission was bad. When it took less than 5 minutes for my husband and 2 other mechanics to see it was bad. The mechanic damaged the front end of my car underneath, then had the nerve to charge over me $100 for that too! He puts another transmission in. I left his business in Nevada and went to Wal-Mart. From Highland Auto to Wal-Mart (in Nevada.. which is about 7 minutes), the transmission slipped 3 times. The front end was even popping and making noises I hadn't heard before. Keep in mind this a 2014 Nissan. Which should not be making noises at all and didn't prior to Highland Auto. I called him when I arrived at Wal-Mart. So literally, he sold me 2 transmissions that are faulty/bad. I paid a total over $1600 for the transmission (and installation) with 3,000 miles. The 2nd transmission had 24,000 miles on it (which average price of this transmission is $600). That being said he owes me a refund of $500 cash. I called Ken (and all conversations by phone and in person was recorded) letting him know the 2nd transmission was also bad. Due to the incompetence and lack of skills Highland Auto has provided, of course I no longer trust them with my vehicle. I did inform that I was a heart patient. I had to have a reliable vehicle. Due to going back and forth to KC. It was a huge inconvenience to be without a vehicle for a month due to his consistent error. After checking with a judge and 2 attorney's, he IS FULLY & LEGALLY RESPONSIBLE for car rental, the full refund of $1664 (which is the price of the transmission and installation), plus the $500 difference of the cost of 3,000 mile transmission verses the 24,000 mile transmission. In essence he LEGALLY OWES A REFUND of $2,164. He refuses to refund the full amount. It is sad to see the unprofessionalism, the disregard for ethics, and the lack of character. It is disgraceful to all Auto Parts Business. The good thing about it is first and foremost he will stand before God on this. Second, he will be standing before a judge also. I do have every piece of evidence needed. This is my experience with Highland Auto. I would NEVER RECOMMEND them to anyone and pray no one would have to go through this too.

BEWARE!! Does not stand behind their parts or warranties. A shop with no integrity. So disappointed. Would never want this to happen to another customer! Beware!!
