Mark and the crew were top notch I. Diagnosing and fixing a whining issue in my Range Rover. Within 15 minutes they had tracked down the problem and identified a part in town. A little while later they had the new part and installed it. Mark kept me in the loop the entire time about issues as they arose and always gave me estimates on time and cost. They all worked to help me get a quick and reasonable fix in under two hours. What more can you ask for from a mechanic? Highest level of service I ve experienced. Thanks so much to everyone at C&R!

I brought my car there due to a battery drain issue, was diagnosed and told that it was due to a mass Aie flow sensor problem, I am nit a mechanic and questioned this but was assured that it would fix issue. Part was replaced, way overpriced mind you. Called them 3 days later to check status and was told that nit only was that bad, but I needed to replace battery as well, of which they wanted to charge me 300 for that. $380.00 dollars later, had battery checked once I picked it up, battery checked it was fine. Got in it the very next day and guess what, the very issue I took it there for is still present. If you don't know, you don't know, but this my friend is pretty pathetic. Never again!

Employees show a lack of concern for the client. Cars are not finished in a timely matter. Multiple trips for same problem is sometimes necessary.

I've been waiting to leave a review until after I got my vehicle back home. I started my journey with C&R over 3 months ago, and I'm still waiting for my vehicle to be fixed. We have Route 66 insurance, asked if they work with them, and they said yes. So we asked them to make sure that route 66 would pay for the repairs. They asked if we wanted to leave the car there while waiting on the insurance response, or just have them call us when they're ready. We said we'd wait for the phone call. 3 months passed by, and they never called us back, we went and asked what's taking so long, and C&R said Route 66 haven't called back. I said screw it. I figured we'd get the car in faster if it was sitting in their lot so we went ahead and set up a report with C&R and dropped it off, and I'm still waiting for my car. I usually leave fantastic reviews for every place of business because I usually have no issues. But we're going on 4 months now on my car not being fixed. Over an oil leak. The guy at the counter said, yeah. I don't know what's going on, I told him it's bad business practice is what it is. Not only on their end but also Route 66 end. I've skipped out on two treatments waiting on my vehicle to be repaired. The employees have great personalities. Great people skills. Everyone I talk with can't recommend them enough. I guess maybe I'm just not getting the same treatment? Hopefully, my car will come home in pristine condition after how long I've been waiting. It is my fault for not finding another company to work with. 3 months should have been the first indicator that I'd be waiting another 3 to get my car home. When the car comes home I'll be able to give an update about how well the repair job went.Here's my update, I apologize for being late. It was 5 months total waiting on my vehicle, some of it was miscommunication, some of it was them not getting on the phone with the insurance to get the ball rolling. I took it in for a simple oil leak. They fixed it and saw that my timing chain belt loop needed to be fixed. They fixed that as well. My car is still acting funny. But the leak has stopped. So the original complaint has been fixed. I just wish it didn't take 5 damn months to get it completed from start to finish. Good people, though. Good customer service. Just poor time management.

During a move from Illinois to Kansas, my car started spewing oil. AAA towed me and recommended C&R Automotive & Transmission in Moberly, MO. While I did not plan to spend Labor Day Weekend in Moberly, MO, C&R was very friendly, helpful and expedited my vehicle servicing since they understood I was moving. Overhearing people come in and call, the shop was constantly busy and the people answering the calls were clearly knowledgeable and thorough. If I could manage to drive 4 .5 hours everytime I needed auto service, I would love to make C&R my standard go-to.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

Our transmission went out on a Sunday evening. Monday morning I started the hunt for a reputable shop. C&R was recommended to me. I called him, explained what had happened. He was very knowledgeable about this specific transmission and the faults it has. He said if I could get it over to him that day or the next morning (Tuesday), he would be able to have it done by the end of the week. So that's what we did...Upon picking it up, the gentleman was very friendly and courteous. I took my truck in to C&R on 24 and the guys were polite and easy to chat with whoever the service wasn t great. My truck sat there for over 2 weeks and hadn t been looked at yet. I called every 3 or 4 days to check on an update and everytime it was we have some bigger jobs ahead of you we re real busy right now I understand completely being busy however letting me know before I drop it off that you won t have a chance to look at it for 2 weeks. I wouldn t have been upset I just would ve took it somewhere else. When they finally got it tore into they quoted me 3 different prices with subject to change by the time they finished the job and that if we went ahead and did the fix it would take 3 or 4 weeks. I m honestly an easy going guy to get along with but this was frustrating. I finally told them I was fine I would like to just pick my truck up. I paid for the labor time it took them to look at the truck and they said give them a little bit to get it put back together no biggie. I called back 3.5 hours later to ask about what time would be a good time to come pick it up. They said it wouldn t be until the morning but they will get someone on it. Nice guys weren t rude at all but terrible automotive service.My initial rating was a 1 star and everything above. However I should amend as Charlie reached out to me and was super respectful and easy going. He explained the issue with getting parts from Chrysler (absolutely understandable) He let me know the issue with getting parts on such a big job for the 14 Ram. I appreciate him reaching out, how kind he was and caring about my initial review. I may have just caught a worker on a bad day, it happens we all make mistakes. Maybe we will end up doing business again in the future. If you guys bring your vehicle here. Charlie is the owner and he s a great guy and honest with you, that s my honest feedback.

I didn't end up getting my repairs done there. But the phone interaction I had was wonderful. They will definitely score the next repairs I may have. Just couldn't beat the price on a ridiculously expensive part.

As a new resident to Moberly, and coming from a major city, my expectations of such services may be higher than others. The team at the main location have taken great care of me and obviously value me as a customer. Having multiple vehicles, they recognized that having my business was important not just just with the current service and repair needs I presented to them, but for the future. This, in and of itself, is called great business ethics. They got my vehicle back on the road and even provided me transportation to/from my house since I am new and have no resources at moment. This is called excellent customer service. Pricing of repair work was reasonable and when I asked they explain about my repairs, they didn't hesitate. Being a woman this shows their honesty and integrity. I'm happy so far and will be returning with any future vehicle needs. Thank you C&R! I came up from tx on a vacation to visit my family and they got me in and out in a little under a week even with it being holiday weekend. Called on Monday morning hoping to get car in that day as I was off work. Was told they were booked but could possibly work me in. Explained I would have to bring car and wait as I had no other way to get around. They kindly gave me a ride back home. Called me mid afternoon said car was done and and picked me up at home and brought back to shop. As always car repairs are pricey and often unexpected but they certainly made the financial blow easier to take with their thoughtfulness. Will definitely be back and recommendService: Brakes

I had taken my daily driven sedan that was burning oil out through the exhaust to C & R after 2 other local shops refused or neglected to find and solve my issues. I set up an appointment, dropped my car off and they got to work. After a few hours they gave me a call and informed me that they weren t only able to identify the issue but reassured me that they knew exactly where to start in fixing the issue. Turns out, it was a rather simple fix that could ve been done months earlier if someone would ve only taken the time to look into it.. C & R was the shop to do this for me! They are excellent at what they do. No one better in the area for transmission work.Lower rating us because I've had 2 jobs done that were going to be pretty expensive on older vehicles so I wanted an accurate estimate so I didn't spend more than the cars were worth. One was a transmission rebuild and the second was having some drivetrain parts fixed and replaced on a different vehicle.Both times the estimate give. Was high but within acceptible limits. However after only the parts and work estimated, the final price on both was almost 40% more than the approved quote.Unfortunately I did not get it in writing so I wound up in case one with a transmission that cost literally $1000 more than I had given for the vehicle a year and half earlier.In the second car. The repairs cost within a few hundred dollars of what the value if the car was KBB.Get an estimate and get it writing.Be forewarned.

I was referred to the South location by my siblings due to their great experiences with the owner. I ended up being sent to the north location for repairs and was quoted almost double of what every other repair shop in Moberly quoted me. When I declined their services I was advised I would be charged 50 dollars because it took them 30 minutes to look at my car. After a few phone calls the owner agreed to waive the fee. I will never ever attempt to do business with the north location again. I understand different places have different prices but double is absolutely ridiculous and shady.

Honesty! I went in today. Thought I needed an oil change and an inspection on my car. When they took the car in they checked my tags and saw they didn t expire until 23. Therefore not needing an inspection! I have been a customer for over 5 years and the last two services a cap has forgotten to be replaced. Once my oil leaked out of my car and the most recent was my coolant. C&R was able to get my car in quickly and had new tires on within a couple of hours. On a separate visit, they were able to pick up my car from work and fix my brakes. The people at C&R are fantastic! I ve been a customer for about 5 years but wish I had been going there all along. These folks truly treat customers like family. They are super friendly and make automotive repairs/maintenance extremely hassle free. I ve never had a shop look out for my best interest like them. Several times they diagnosed my vehicle and found money saving services or even found no need for services when other shops would have easily taken my money and performed those unnecessary services.
