Mike and Kathy have helped our entire family for several years. Mike has always been reasonable and is an excellent mechanic. Kathy is friendly and easy to talk with. The two reviews are very negative. I have lived at the same address for over 30 years. When Mike took over this station I started taking my car(s) there. I don't understand the reasons for their reviews as I have no complains, well maybe one. They are soooooo busy that it takes a while to get my car seen. I guess you could think that was good or bad. The way I was taught, if a business is always doing a whopping business they must be darn good. But if your of the nature that you 'want it NOW', then you might not like it so much. Mike has always been professional and his prices are good. I can go to anyplace and get a cheap oil change, but my care has over 100k miles on it and it needs the better oil. I know that I am getting the best for my car and never give it a thought.So, please don't look at those reviews from long ago...I have nothing but trust and respect for Starr Tire & Automotive.

*Recommend* Their family owned, rated A+ with the BBB, honest, provides great service, and have good prices. I have all my vehicles worked on here.Services I ve had performed include tires, breaks, windshield, oil changes, state inspections, bicycles, and much more.If you have an issue or question, all you have to do is ask, and you ll receive an HONEST answer.When ever I need service, this will be the place I ll go to.

Great service, had a nail in my tire, other shops wanted me to leave my car all day. Starr fixed my tire for me right away, took only 15 minutes and had me on my way. Great service I highly recommend, and they're funny as hell.

Terrible business! My car was overheating a few blocks away so I took it to Starr Tire & Automotive on a Friday afternoon. I got a call from Mike a few hours later. I had two leaking heater hoses. He quoted me $610.00 to fix them. It seemed pretty high to me, so I called two other mechanics within a 5 mile radius. I was quoted $77 from one and $86 from the other. When I called Mike back to question him about his price he hung up on me. I called a second time and was put on hold for almost ten minutes before he would even take my call. Once I showed up to pick up my car and PAID the $53 "consultation fee", he still made me wait for over 30 minutes before giving me back my key. Mike flat out lied about the type of hose that were needed. He told me that it was a specialty hose that costs about $280 each. Once I removed the hoses I was able to replace it with the EXACT same part for $16. I will never go back to this business.

Do not go here!!! Used an advertised coupon for a discount on an oil change. Took 2 hours for 2 mechanics to complete (my car was the only one there) then ended up costing 120$! Dobbs and firestone only cost 50$. Their daughter who ran the front desk was rude and unkept. Not more than 2 days later I noticed a puddle of oil on my garage floor, the oil filter was not screwed on all the way and I had to retighten it myself then had to go buy and refill the oil myself after they DENIED any wrong doing. This place is a joke. I doubt these guys did well at their mechanic school... If they even went.

Great place to have your automobile serviced.They do great work and are convenient.They also do state and emissions inspections.

The mechanic is a bit snarky but he does a great job, and he may only be snarky with me cause I have known him since he was young and not the grouchy old man he is!!!! Love this place!!!

Mike and Cathy are always helpful. And give you an estimate and explain what needs to be done. Then let you make the decision.
