Had an issue with my car that I wasn t sure what it was. Roy s was able to get my car in super fast! I dropped it off on a Sunday evening and by Monday morning around 10am they were already calling me with the diagnosis. It was going to be ready that evening but it turned out that the problem still wasn t gone with all of their repairs. Giving them more time, they wanted to keep my car another day to look at it deeper. I was more than happy to let them have it just to save myself the money and time if possibly having to take it to a Ford dealer if they didn t figure it out as the dealers are booked for weeks out! Turns out time was all the needed! By the next day they were able to diagnose what the issues were and have it ready before the end of the third day. They even politely discounted my bill, without me asking, which is greatly appreciated but definitely wasn t expected by any means. They hands down have my business for any further issues although I hope my car doesn t need anything anytime soon! I never felt a bother when I called for updates and they were honest with me. Highly recommend!

I relocated from St. Louis to Houston in October of 2020. Made a return visit in June but I held off some maintenance because I fully trust them with my 308,000 mile 4Runner which has been maintained by Roy's since I rolled into that shop. It has runs like a Swiss time piece every since Charlie put his hands on it. The mechanics there know their stuff. Super guys and gals in the front office. If it were practical no one in Houston would ever lay a finger on it.

I've been going to Roy's for almost 30 years with good reliable service. I recently had an alternator go out on our 10+ year old minivan as we were heading out of town to SC for a vacation. Roy's was able to troubleshoot on the phone, order the alternator, squeeze us in for a replacement and we were back on the road that evening. They can't do magic for all but I greatly appreciated their agility in helping me!!

I've had the best experiences with these guys. They don't try and sell me stuff I don't need. They explain what they did and don't overcharge. Having a good trustworthy mechanic is important. My wife and I have had a few things done here and we've always been treated fairly, honestly and with respect. Also, the prices are more than reasonable for the quality of work.If you're looking for a new auto shop, please give them a try. We've been happy with our experiences so far!

Hands down, the best auto repair shop I ve been to. They take time to document everything going on with your car. If you come in for an oil change, they ll take care of you. If they see something wrong with your car, there s no pressure or up-selling. Everyone is knowledgeable and caring. It s the only place I take my vehicles.

Family owned, they have some history, and they're stand up. Haven't heard a bad thing from anyone we know who goes here for work. I'd bring my car here before going to a dealership or tire shop. State inspections, emissions, tires, alignments and more, these guys have it covered. Give them your business, you won't regret it.

Literally the best mechanic in St. Louis - super nice on the phone, always available, and not expensive. You can easily spend $70-$85 on a full synthetic oil change, but not at Roy's! Also depending on what's going on with your car, they'll help you free. There was one time they looked at my car and then didn't charge me anything. And another time the fixed my tire and it was like only $5. They are genuinely a great business to work with!Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance

Life or Death.... No Joke.. It was recommended that I get my wheels alignment after Roy's replaced my Rack and Pinion and tie rods. I agreed, based on Roy's Auto professional opinion. However, one day after picking up the car from Roy's, I noticed a pulling to the right and the steering wheel was shaking. I notified Roy's auto and was told I had to wait two weeks for a opening to have it looked at. Still not feeling comfortable, I went to see that maybe the tires just needed balancing. Then reality hit!! I went to a NTB to discover the one front tire had a strip of steel belt showing and the other front tire had a gash 3/4 around the side wall. I then notified Roy's Auto and asked "why where these tires not noticed or not brought to my attention?" Their reply was "it was not a safety inspection. Ok, It is true Roy's auto is technically correct and can hide legally behind their explanation. However, it was not safety inspection at NTB!! They did the moral thing with integrity course of action. They explained how dangerous and unsafe my tires were and at any point could have blown!!!! I feel NTB saved myself and my family's life!!! It is understatement to say Roy's auto lacks morality and integrity!!!

This place is great. Started going here about 4 years ago. The location is wonderful - you can avoid Manchester by going to the stoplight just west of Roy's. They're always happy to answer q's over the phone, provide quotes right away, and try to work with your availability as much as possible. There doesn't seem to be a lot of turnover which, to me, says a lot about an auto repair shop. They have also taken me out to the service bay to show me underneath my car once. Anyway, we'll keep going to Roy's for as long as we can.Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Wheel alignment, Brakes, Battery, Oil change

Update: Still great! They do emissions inspections and are quick!I always go here for my state inspection. They're super friendly and honest, and I feel good about coming here. Going anywhere else I feel like I'm unimportant and getting scammed.

Recently took my car in for some pre-winter maintenance (brake work & tire replacement), and could not be happier. They had an estimate for me within minutes of calling, and as a AAA member, they included a complimentary diagnostic inspection, with estimates for repairing the issues they found.Reasonable rates, fantastic service--I'll absolutely be coming back to Roy's for any other repairs I need.

I've been going to Roy's since 1997 when I moved to the area. They are a very trusted business and customer service is excellent. They've always be extremely honest with me. It's very hard to find skilled people like the ones at Roy's that are also good, honest, and trustworthy. I've brought a lot of different cars to Roy's over the years and I can't imagine going anywhere else. Steve worked very hard and creatively on one of my older cars in late 2014 to send my car's computer board to a company to work on it for a few hundred dollars instead of a simple and standard option to just replace it for a thousand dollars. They're great and I'd recommend them to anyone.

I m extremely happy with the service at Roy s. My daughter is going to college nearby but family lives 4 hours away. The odd electrical issues she was having were hard to address with her so far away. AAA wound up towing the car to Roy s one night after we trusted AAA s recommendation about Roy s. They were able to attend to the unscheduled appointment the next day and determined a simple fix related to a battery cable. Upon picking up the car, apparently her jump starting had blown the headlight bulbs which they also then took care of in short order. The car is running great once again.The big thanks here is that she was due to come home for Thanksgiving break. We were concerned about having to travel down and then having to hope to leave the car at the shop for a week. We were further concerned that she might have to stay down there into Thanksgiving week to address the car while her campus was empty. They were very sympathetic to our plight and did all they could to help her get home to enjoy family for the holiday. We are so grateful and know that for her next four years at school that we have a great shop to rely on. Thanks to all parties involved for helping us out.

I completely trust this place. Steve made calls for us to see what we should do while we were stuck in a hotel in Kentucky recently with a transmission out on our car. We called to get his recommendation and he volunteered to check into pricing and did so....and promptly called us back within 30 minutes. Other things have caused us to be amazed by the high level of service received. We've gone here for about 20 years and never regretted it in all that time. Highly recommended.

I am VERY picky where I take my cars. I moved to St. Louis 10 years ago, and was still taking my car to my old mechanic in Illinois I trusted, until a friend recommended Roy's to me. I've now been taking my Subaru to them for 2 years, and I'm so, so happy I found them. Absolutely no up-selling, so affordable and so friendly. You won't be disappointed!

Roy's is my new goto mechanic. Got me in quickly, worked with my extended warranty company and then diagnosed and repaired a secondary problem just as quickly. Honest, fair and fixed my car. I also like supporting independent, family owned businesses. Well done.

Look, I hate going to a repair shop as much as anyone else. That being said, I would go to Roy s anytime! I have had to use them 5 or 6 times and each time I have been impressed with their communication and honesty. Where others have tried to charge me hundreds for a gamut of different reasons, they were able to advise me on only the necessities and save me a ton of money! In fact, last time I was there they needed my car longer than anti pirated to try and diagnose the issue. Due to the extended time, they didn t charge me the diagnostic fee! Go to them and you won t be disappointed!

Was on a road trip and stopped in for some desperate work. They were uncommonly accommodating and truly made me feel like a unique and valued customer, even though I had never been there before. They offered a free shuttle service to a nearby airbnb that I rented. They worked with me to find the best and most affordable options for my repair. I am totally satisfied and recommend them highly.

Roy's has an integrity unmatched in their field. The employees are very friendly and extremely helpful. Steve, Jon, and Stephen go extra miles and they do it consistently and naturally. This shop is busy and for good reason, they're the best at what they do. Try to make an appointment in advance.

Great small town feel, honest about what I needed and didn't need being that I am a female that was extremely refreshing. I will use them again and recommend them to everyone else. AND they fixed my radio at no cost that hadn't worked in 2 months!!!!! GREAT JOB EVERYONE

I needed to renew my plates and the mechanic I used to go to quoted me $1,200 for the needed work before they could pass my vehicle for inspection. I didn't believe I was being shot straight so I took it to Steve and his team at Roy's to get a second opinion. I didn't give him any context, just told him the same thing I told my former mechanic, "tell me what I need to pass the inspect." With complete sincerity Steve broke the bad news to me that he couldn't pass my vehicle for inspection without having to do $80 worth of repairs! I'll never forget that moment when I realized I had found my forever mechanic who would always be honest and treat me fair. I've taken my vehicles to Roys for a decade now and every time they come through with elite professional quality, care and more than fair pricing. Steve and his team at Roy's are incredible people and great mechanics and I recommend you look no further if and when your time comes for needing a fantastic mechanic you can trust. You will be glad that you did.

This is an honest to goodness auto repair shop. They are professional and competent and they went out of the way to diagnose my electrical system for no charge. Turns out my battery ground needed cleaning.10 bucks for the service and I was back on the road. Also, they gave me a quote on an alternator that was half the price of my dealership. Go to Ray's with confidence.

I'm a 23 year old girl who just moved here from Cincinnati, OH for work. Almost immediately after arriving my check engine light came on (ew). No one likes car stuff when it comes to things that go wrong. But it's even harder when you're a woman (sorry but it's true), you don't know a lot about cars, AND you're new to the area and don't know who to trust. But these guys make the experience as painless as humanly possible. The cost of my repair was high. But they were genuinely apologetic, and were happy to walk (crawl) through every little thing that was wrong, and why it happened. Then they were willing to work with me so I could chunk up the repairs in increments so that the payments were a bit more manageable. They had no issues revealing to me what was absolutely necessary to fix, what could wait for a while, and what really wasn't super necessary but a good precautionary measure to take. They're friendly and respectful. In the vast world of auto-mechanic-scammers I'm happy to have found a shop with a group of people that have an air of honesty and sincerity about them. Am I happy about what happened to my car? No, but bad things happen. I'm just happy that I found a shop that makes those bad things a little less painful. These guys will have my business for the remainder of the time that I'm in the St. Louis area.

I have been going to Roy's for nearly 30 years. It is one of the most reliable, high-quality, top-notch auto service centers in the St. Louis area. I have never encountered an effort to gouge customers, fake diagnostics or push additional products off on the customers. Their prices are fair, service is prompt. An honest Auto Repair shop is a gem of a find.They go out of their way to find the least expensive way to make your car completely serviceable.Both cars I've owned since using Roy's have lasted well over 110,000 miles (my Lumina- the first) lasted >150K.I trust these guys.
