Whether you want an oasis of calm along the river in the primitive camping area or to rent the lodge with the hot tubs. Use the beach, rent a kayak and take advantage of the shuttle service to float down the river. On any of the various distances they offer. Peaceful and tranquil. It reminded me of being deep in the National Forest. Unless you have a satellite phone, odds are that your phone will not ting either. Great friendly staff, great place, awesome surroundings.

This is a wonderful place to getaway! Clean and quiet. (We did go on a weekday and picked the family side). Nice shower houses. Great place!

One of my favorite places to spend time in the summer. I adore the owner and her and the staff always make us feel like family, so many great memories made here

Amazing. Should be enough said BUT...... I recommend this campground to everyone that comes to the lake! So quiet, or loud however you like it! The river beaches are great! You can kayak, canoe, and tube float the Little Niangua River. The attendants put you in and will pick you up. Or just hang on the river beach. Camp attendants are at your beck and call, and they deliver firewood, ice, or even a T-shirt. Full hook up, electric only, dry tent camping, and rental campers and houses. Everyone should check this place out!!

Don't go to this place unless you talk to someone first. We drove to this place because their posted online hours stated that they were open. The drive while pulling a camper up what seemed like a mountain wasn't so easy and when we got there there was no turn around spot and a closed gate.

My fianc� went down to have a weekend getaway with some friends. While asleep one of the employees of the business entered her tent and tried to assault her. Had she been intoxicated, she would not have been able to fight it off. Her friends called 911 and the assailant was apprehended. Yet the owner try s to deny his involvement still. The man has several previous assault charges. I would recommend that you steer clear of this establishment, they clearly don t maintain a safe environment

Extremely inexpensive to rent bunkhouse for entire weekend. Easily houses 13 people with additional trundle beds under the single beds. Has 2 individual rooms with doors but rest of beds are in loft.Tiny kitchen but has everything you would probably need, to include refrigerator/freezer.There is another house and several campers that can be rented.Has large shower house for those roughing it in their own tents.It is a penisula piece of land with the Niangua river running around it. From the point of input to other side where you can pull canoes or kayaks out is roughly 3 miles. Of course you can travel further down the river if you choose.Leslie is the owner and sweetest lady I have had pleasure to meet.Leslie will accommodate most any requests. There have been family reunions and weddings held on her campgrounds.Well worth the trip. I'll go back again for leasurely, relaxing week. You have to live sitting by campfires cooking hot dogs, foil dinners, and of course s'mores.

I've been taking family there and we have so much fun. A playground for the litter ones and a zip line too.

Most reasonable price an full of beauty this is the best place to get away ! Most nicest folks ever in my opinion I'm nv going anywhere else to camp except here at mother nature river front
