Matt is very honest, good or bad. I have taken my truck to him a couple times. From just an oil change to dig in to a problem with my fuel system. Very straight forward answers to my questions! Thanks again Matt!

I had no problem with service before but now I took my mini van in that I just bought because there was something going on with the engine when I was driving back from st louis. $500 later the problem was fixed. Then about 2 weeks after that, I was driving home from a job in Raytown when it did the same thing. Now mind you, I work from home but every once in a blue moon I go out to do a job so we never really use the van.Took it back to get it fixed again but was told it could be something else than what it was before so it will now cost 200 more bucks to potentially fix the problem. I declined service as we have already spent that money the first go around to fix the problem but now it's back within a short time of having it serviced. I understand that it's a small shop and they need to make money but I also have a family to think about and already spent too much in the first place to still not have a vehicle.

Had a bunch of stuff done on my car and the repairs didn't even last 2500 miles, brought it in for warranty. Got a call saying it was done after 2 days, I went and got my car then drove for 2 days and I'm still having the same issues...(Picture is what I get after it being "fixed" the second time)

They were quick to give a call back and got my truck in the next day. Very respectable pricing on labor and parts. High recommend for any mechanic needs.

Second time Matt came out to work on my Pontiac he did not do good work at all, I ended up taking off the belt tensioner he replaced, returning it for a new one as the belt kept dancing off after less than 5 minutes. When I reached out to Clete's , Matt could make some time maybe 3 days later. No guarantee for his work and did not seem the slightest bit interested in ensuring his work was 100%. I tipped him very well like 37% above what he charged and in the end had to do it myself anyway. Not the same service I received the first time for sure, never called again.

Had some issues with a check engine light so contacted Matt at Clete s Auto Service. Let me just say Outstanding service from the start! Excellent service and value. The technician showed complete mastery of his craft. I compare being an auto mechanic in today's world to being similar to that of the Veterinary discipline in that the knowledge must encompass numerous patient types in order to be successful.The technician had just come from a custom job on an older vehicle to my stock 2011 Ford F-150 and he knew all about how to troubleshoot the computer system right there in my own driveway. He saved me money by correcting the previous information I was given by someone else. It turned out that I didn't need to go to a shop to fix my vehicles problem. On his recommendation, I was able to go a few blocks away to the auto store, get the part and fix the problem myself for far, far less than I had expected. I'm certainly no mechanic but I'm also (like most people) not completely helpless around vehicles. This was the perfect experience from my perspective.Honest mechanics are notoriously difficult to find. Thank you for doing what you do so well.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

My wife and I were hit with a huge load on our 2012 Dodge Journey all at once, it didn t help that we hit a curb in the snow, we had a big project in front of us. I got at least 4 or 5 estimates on repairs and it all ranged from 3800 to 4500, and it was only to fix half the things Matt did. In the end I got out paying half price on double the amount of work, the best part is, is it was good quality work, Matt is prompt and great about finding parts. He is very attentive to detail and his wife is one of the best interior detailers I ve ever come across! I recommend them 15/10! Clete s Auto Service always goes above and beyond to make sure my car is running right and to make sure I get the best deal on parts. In the past I was quoted a laundry list of repairs that needed to be done by an oil change company. I asked Clete s to look at the estimate and get me their price to repair my car. Not only did they save me money but they also saved me from making a lot of unnecessary repairs. Customer service is beyond excellent. My truck wouldn't start, it wasn't the starter or the battery, just couldn't figure out what it was. Matt took a look at it and had it running within half an hour. Low and behold it was the fuel pump. Again excellent service and very reasonable pricing.

Clete's Auto Service was the only vehicle repair business that would come to my home to diagnose and replace a failed fuel pump. I was trying to avoid having to have my vehicle towed to a repair shop because it had a camper on the truck that would have complicated the tow. Matt from Clete's diagnosed the problem, located a new fuel pump and came out on a Sunday to get my truck running again. Did a great job at a fair price.

Clete's Auto saved me from having to take time off work to take my car into the shop. They came to my job and replaced my starter for me. If it wasnt for them I would have had to have my car towed to get fixed. I would recommend them especially if your looking for convenience.

I know nothing about cars. If you want an honest mechanic... Cletes auto repair is for you!! I went to another mechanic and they told me my motor was blown and I needed a new one... so i talked to the wife and she insisted I get a second opinion or a lower price other than paying 4,000$ For a replacement motor.. So I showed up at cletes auto repair I told him what happened and he said lemme take a look. It ended up being the crank sensor and Matt charged me 170$ out the door.. cletes saved me a ton of money and have earned my business for life.. thank you cletes auto!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

I blew a tire near his shop and it was long after closing time. He could have just gone home but he stayed and helped me out! Anybody can turn wrenches but it takes integrity to help someone out when it s inconvenient.Service: TiresService: Tires

Hi I needed the timing belt and water pump replaced on my #04 Toyota Sequoia. Matt did an amazing job. Was punctual, professional and courteous. He came to my house in Longmont. Why spend double, triple or more taking it to a shop and their huge mark up on parts. Work with Matt get the parts you need at rock auto etc and save big money on the labor. He does the job right, he even changed out other things thermostat, serpentine belt, pulley etc. I won't go anywhere else for my automotive needs. thanks Art in LongmontService: General repairs & maintenance
