Had my catalytic converter stolen for a third time and put off fixing it for over a year. Finally called around and this place was the best option. Took it in one afternoon with no warning. They fixed it in 3 hours and we had it up and running smooth and quiet as ever. Was also one of the cheapest fixes lol. Would recommend!

Absolutely the worst customer service and honesty from a mechanics shop that I have ever dealt with. I needed them to extract one exhaust head stud that broke off in my daughter's car. I had previously removed all the otherbolts as well as the front cab. I dropped it off on Dec 26.They told me they could start on it at the start of the next week. I called on Jan 4 after hearing nothing. He kept hem hawing and told me he start on it Jan 8.He would never give me an estimate and went between $800 and over 2k. I should have picked up my car then. I then called on Jan 11 after hearing nothing. He then told me he had not worked on it due to it being covered in snow. He then would give me no firm date for working on it. He then complained he was deeadion working on anything Monday due yo the cold. When I pressed further he told me I could just pick up the car if I wanted. I arrived at the shop, and my car was not covered in snow like he lied about on the phone. If they did not want to work on it, then they should have been honest and just told me, but they didn't. They lie repeatedly and you will have to call them. Steer clear of this business or beware.

They were able to get car into shop & repair part of muffler pipe the same day. Very happy with reasonable price too!

I ve lived in Liberty since 2007 and I operate about a dozen cars and trucks. These guys are the best. There are a few other in town that were pretty good, I ve used about everyone over the years. The others have dropped off in prices, knowledge and service. Again, Adams is way out in front of everyone else.

Over 25 years of patronizing this repair shop and have never regretted our decision! Always in and out as soon as possible! Never been price gouged and referred many people over the years! Rick is the go to guy and gets the job done! Local family owned and ran business with honesty and integrity! I can't say enough nice things about this business! You'll never be let down, never!

Took my wife's car to the shop for grinding break noises and got it back later that day. The price quoted was accurate. When picking up the parts replaced were explained in detail. The price was reasonable also. It's refreshing to find a shop that stands behind its work and takes the time to behave ethically.

I called to get a quote to have my exhaust fixed, and got an instant quote. They fit me into their already busy schedule and got it fixed faster then I had anticipated. Whenever i picked my vehicle up, the price was LOWER then what had been quoted previously over the phone. I will definately be back for all of my automotive needs, and will recommend this business to anyone!

Adam s had been the only place I ve taken my car since living in liberty. The first time I called inquiring about a muffler being replaced and he was able to get me in the next day and get it fixed. Most recently 6/15/23 I was hearing a noise on my jeep and believed it to be my brakes. I dropped my car off to get it looked at on a very busy day, 2 hours later he called to let me know it was brakes, rotors, and calibers. Within 4 hours of dropping my vehicle off it was fixed and they had me back on the road again.

I was in a pinch for time and money. I decided to take a chance and use them instead of my regular mechanic. They have very fair prices and speedy service. I have returned multiple times since, and have recommended them to friends and family.

I came here to replace side mirror and they provided service but turning signal on a mirror didn t work.They refused to fix or refund my moneyStay away from this place.It is horrible place.

It always has a familiar feel to it. Probably because I've been going to them for like 20 years! They have integrity there and that's the only place I'll take my vehicle,( along with a lot of my other friends!.).. Thanks guys for doing a great job and taking care of me over the years!

Adams Muffler has always been terrific to work with on all of my automotive needs. They are always fair and honest about what they do. Having a mechanic that you have full confidence in and can Trust is a very great feeling and I feel that way with Rick and his team.

Went to Adams after a quick Google Maps search for a brake shop near my home. I'd been told by my dealer that my rotors needed to be replaced because they were worn by rocks and mud. Took it in to Adams, and 2 hrs later was called and told that my brakes just needed cleaning, and all was well. Less than $100 for a job that the dealership was going to charge me $300 for. I'll definitely be returning for future services!Service: Brakes

This place is busy for a reason! They're honest and straight forward. They always call with a clear quote BEFORE they do the work and list out the cost of parts and labor separately. Great service. They were able to fit me in. They fabricated and exhaust pipe for my Driver side muffler and exhaust tips for both my mufflers. Came back again for Flex pipe replacement in & out in about 45 minutes. Definitely recommend for exhaust problems. Thanks Guys

I've been using Adams for a lot of years now and I have nothing but great things to say about the shop. Rick has done many things on multiple vehicles for me from putting in a new engine to simply fixing a loose wire. Rick is an honest man and he takes care of his customers. Adams Muffler & Brake is the only repair shop I will use!!!

The only mechanic I ever go to. I've learned my lesson. Everytime I've ever taken my car anyplace else, they wanted twice the price and grossly exaggerated what needed work. This is the most trustworthy, honest, and helpful shop in the Kansas City area for auto repairs. Always up front and provide great work at a fair price. It's really the only reason I drive up to Liberty! My whole family has come to the same conclusion and won't take their vehicles anyplace else either.Do yourself a favor, no matter what shop you usually go to, give them a try!

Excellent service and fair pricing. Years ago I shopped around and found them to be the least expensive. They've serviced all of my cars for over 20 years. I have constantly recommended Adams to friends and family and most have become long time customers.

I had taken my car in to get it looked at for overheating issues. After they looked at the car and drove it around totaling about an hour, they said that everything was fine. They explained to me that the engine has fans that only turn on after the engine reaches a certain temp, and that they tend to turn on later than normal when the season changes from Winter to spring. When I asked how much for the service they said it was free!

I am really appreciated of their service.... They are friendly and professional.... I would highly recommend them to any one.... I have went before and this time was just as great!!!!... Also fair prices for the work needed and will work to accommodate your budget if possible at all to do something else instead of the high cost,want push it on you like others but offer ways that will help....

Very honest place. Only place I'll take my vehicles to they took care of my issue and didn't charge me an arm and a leg to replace the back 3 spark plugs and ignition coil under the intake of my Ford five hundred. So thank you

Rick and his partner mechanics are a great family edition when it comes to the caretakers of all your auto needs. His ethics are bar none and his work is unquestionably sound. I come here to get my cars fixed at a fair price, and it's all done right the first time.

I'm a second generation customer of Adams Muffler & Brake Center. My mom always took her cars to Adams.I've been taking my cars for a variety of repairs, tires, mufflers, almost everything over the past thirty, (30) years! I trust Rick & Dave to not add things I don't need, and to repair properly the things I do. Not once, over these many years have I ever questioned any work they've done at Adams! If you're looking for a dependable, quality, trustworthy mechanics, look no further, friend.You've found it!

SUPER disappointed! First couple of interactions were great! Fair and speedy service. Last interaction tho not so much. I got 2 brand new tires & had to get "a missing lug nut" and some other minor things. They of course balanced and rotated the tires as well.Fast forward. I end up with a flat tire (NOT on one of the new ones) and my road side assistance comes out from insurance and sees that 2 lugs are completely stripped and can't be removed without breaking off. And they can't do that. So fast forward again to that following Monday, I call Adams and speak to Rick. And tell him the situation. He said it Probly wasn't their fault, was really snippet, and wouldn't even take the time to look up my record. Just said get it out here and I'll see what I can do and give you a good price! Ummm no. I explained my insurance wouldn't tow bcuz they already came for the roadside issue and it's now understood to be something else. I can't afford to be carting my truck all around kc if he's not even willing to look up my service record, then "to see what he can do" and give me a good price? They used too much torque and I now think that the lugs I had to pay for before were Probly because they broke them. Because I would've surely noticed missing lugs! When I finally got someone to fix my tire they said 2 of the lugs were at like 230 torque !I know everyone has a bad day. I get that. Rick has a great reputation and I would NEVER try to change that. I'm just REALLY disappointed at how he just blew me off. I'm a single mom with health issues and was referred to him by someone who brings him allot of business too. I just feel like he dropped the ball big time by not taking a minute to at least pull up my service record and talk to me a lil more decent. AND he should have made the problem right. Unfortunately, I won't go back here. BUT they won't notice! Lol

AMAZING & HONEST! Can t tell you how many times I have gone there and they fix it fast, fair price, and honest! You will NOT find a more honest repair shop. This is the ONLY place we take our 3 cars! They only fix what needs to be fixed. Don t waste your time go to Adam s!!!
