Greg and his team do a great job on my fleet of vehicles. Aamco currently services 4 of my vehicles, it is paramount that my vehicles stay on the road and they do an excellent job at that. Honest, competitively priced and work don t on time. Couldn t be more happy with my mechanic.

*****In response to shop owners comments****. I stand firm on my review below. I read up on this specific issue, including consulting with several Certified Ford Master mechanics. All confirmed that having torque converters not able to maintain torque lock, does not automatically equate a bad torque converter, nor need for a transmission rebuild. It was confirmed through my research of 100's of exact reported issues of this and the certified Ford master mechanics I spoke to, to take the following steps.1. Check the fluid level2. Check for fluid contamination OR just go right to doing a transmission serviceYour shop did neither of these. I had already determined that the transmission service was needed, per recommendation from the previous Ford mechanics I consulted with. I merely contacted your shop to do the fluid service. I was told you would do free diagnostics and give recommendation. The vehicle odometer reading was the same as when I dropped the vehicle off. There wasn't any diagnostics done at all. I received nothing from your shop showing scan tool diagnostics that would have been taken in a live drive of the vehicle. I know for a fact the fluid level was not even checked, as there would have been signs of removal of the filler cap. Then your shop advised me, what I find to be very ludicrous...NOT to do a fluid exchange, and that as you indicated in your response, that a transmission service would "expedite" the torque converter going out. Your shop told me the torque converter was completely shot and needed replaced asap, and recommended a complete transmission rebuild in lieu of just replacing the torque converter. So, if that were the case, how could doing a transmission fluid service "expedite" the failure of a transmission or the torque converter, if your shop states its already at full failure and needs a $5,100 transmission rebuild?Brought my 2015 Explorer with 88k miles in to do a transmission fluid flush and filter change, as my vehicle was experiencing torque converter shutter issues. Ford dealership I had been to before stated the torque converter was definitely faulty and needed changed at $3,000. I am not an experienced mechanic, but I know enough to bring doubt and/or other possibilities to a vehicle issue diagnosis. It is very rare for a torque converter with only 88k easy miles to go bad.I made the mistake, I think of informing AAMCO what the Ford dealership had recommended of replacing the torque converter. Was told that AAMCO would provide a free diagnosis and recommendation and scope of work and if fluid flush was all that was needed, they would do that work.AAMCO diagnosis and recommended service was that I needed a transmission rebuild at $5,100. I asked what diagnostics were completed to come to that conclusion. I asked if they checked the fluid for contamination and level and whether they had the scanner live while driving the vehicle to check the shift patterns, torque converter lock, slippage, etc. In a nutshell, I was told this was done, but I do not believe any of that was done. I know for a fact that the fluid was not checked, because the filler cap had no sign of having been removed. It still had the same dirt and residue on it from when I took it to their shop.My research all pointed to having a transmission fluid service completed, which is what I took the vehicle to AAMCO to have done. So, to end this, I took my vehicle to, of all places, Jiffy Lube, and had a transmission fluid exchange done. Completely resolved the issue for $206.I only write this review to hopefully save people that might not be as likely to doubt a service shops recommendation. Its deplorable to think about how many people fall prey to this type of upsell and/or incorrect diagnosis. The person I worked with at AAMCO was very nice and even suggested another opinion. But, I do not believe he is a mechanic. I think the mechanics wanted to turn a $250 transmission service into a complete $5100 rebuild, which is similar to what the Ford dealership tried to do as well.

Aamco always does such a great job for all of my cars. we bought my daughter a used car and I took it in Aamco to have it looked at and they did a fine job! It only needed a few items fixed and repaired.

Very customer service oriented. My 1st time doing business with them they treated me like we had known each other for years. My check engine light was on. One place was going to charge me $199 another $99, they were free. All it was, was a hose unconnected. I've never felt so comfortable in knowing l wasn't going to be up-charged or taken advantage of. I found my new mechanic shop for life; because of their honesty from the start and they didn't see my nationality or gender.

Excellent service! I've been here twice with different issues. Both times they were quick to diagnose and fix the problem. Friendly and polite. Highly recommend!

I'm overwhelmed with joy after getting my Mini Cooper back after getting a new Clutch & Flywheel installed. Both Adam and Roy, the new manager were extremely professional, friendly, understanding, helpful, and their communication was top notch from start to finish. There wasn't any surprises, they kept me updated on nearly a daily basis from Day 1 until my car was finished.Their prices were very fair, and cheaper than other transmission shops in the KC area. I did end up having to order aftermarket parts for the Mini, as the OEM prices were insane. They understood my situation, and worked with me every step of the way.I also want to give a big thank you to the technicians that took care of my Mini, they did an outstanding job, from start to finish.

This place is awesome! The men here are very nice, and care about your issues. I was told there was a problem with a car we just purchased and was referred here. We brought it to Mark who is upfront, honest, and was nothing but helpful. The team looked over the car as soon as we dropped it off. Now they could have screwed us over and tried to make money off of us, but they did the opposite!! They were HONEST (hard to find these days in an auto shop).... The car was actually fine!!! They assured us there was nothing to be worried about and we were good to go with no charge for checking out our car!! Thank you Mark and Aamco Team!!! I will be coming to you all from now on for my car services

I worked in the automotive service industry for many years. I can tell you this is the most professional, organized, and best run shop ive run into in many many years. I had a very large engine repair service done. They kept me informed the entire time. I was also blown away that they were willing to let me come in and view the damages before repairing. That alone earned my trust. I would highly recommend this place for any car repair services !

Poor customer service to start. Vehicle was sent there for transmission issues on a Friday. Was told the repairs would take 3-4 days. The following Thursday I reach out to check the status and was advised there were more issues and they will continue to diagnose for an electrical issue. Was advised they will call me back in the afternoon. They didn't follow up. Called back in and got a snarky response from James that diagnoses take time and that my vehicle is not the only one they are working on. With this conversation alone, I would rate negative 5 stars if I could. Will do business elsewhere in future. Very disappointed in the staff.Services: Transmission, Electrical repair

These guys truly are amazing. I was struggling to figure out what was going on with my car. After having it looked at several times, I ended up at Aamco. They found the problem and started working on it that day. The whole time they had my car I was contacted daily to let me know the status of my car was. After getting it back it runs perfectly and is so smooth. I could not be happier. And to top it all off they're super friendly! Definitely THE place to take your car.

When I first started working with this shop they seemed friendly and easy to work with. I told them what had been done previously with an air conditioning problem, they however did the exact same thing and charged me about $150. As I drove the car home - AC still didn't work! Immediately called back to the shop and talked with Rob. He said bring it back and we will make it right, get it fixed. I brought it back to them and after having for a third day, calling a couple times to say it was working and then calling back to say it wasn't, they called and said they found a leak and it would be $1000 to fix! Told them no I wasn't paying that but he would not give any money back on the job I had already paid that didn't fix anything! This is not the way you do business!

This place, I cannot say too much GOOD about. I came in expecting Transmission and wheel bearing diagnosis. I got the wheel bearing, right. But it was a CV Shaft between the Transmission and Tranfer case that was whining and making a lot of noise, "like a Transmission. " Talk about good care. My wife even said, "How do we know these 2 items are wrong?" I said, "AAMCO Transmission & car care." It is in their name, "Transmission" they make their most money on Transmissions. If they say it is NOT a Transmission, WOW I believe it. Saved us $3,000, in total. My 2010 Dodge Nitro is quiet once more. YAY!!!!!!

After paying them to fix my car, the issue was not fixed. My car then sat at the shop for 8 hours (so they could again try to fix it) looked at and they asked me to bring it back in another day. I finally asked for a refund and one week later still waiting for a call back. I advise you to go anywhere else.

We were traveling through & called for assistance with our air conditioning in our truck. They readily fit us in & helped us determine the cause of the problem at no charge! Yes, they technically did not fix anything, but took an hour of their time to problem solve for us. Thank you so much!Service: Air conditioningService: Air conditioning

Let's face it: needing your transmission rebuilt is never good news. But if you have to get it done, get it done at AAMCO. They rebuilt the tranny in my Honda a few weeks ago. Their customer service is top notch, they got the job done in just a few days, and my Honda runs, drives and shifts like a brand new car ever since. Excellent service all the way around.

Just needed to get a Missouri inspection for a vehicle being bought and brought in from Kansas, but I'll be looking to return for other work. They're very easy to work with and very fast to respond. Plus, in the office they have a cool banjo looking thing made out of old car parts.

Needed an inspection asap, called and took my car in not five minutes later. Located in downtown Lee's Summit, I was about to take a walk to local coffee shop for a drink and after returning less than an hour later my car was ready to pick up. Truly thankful they were able to get me in and not BS me about unnecessary repairs like so many other mechanics do.

I had a leak in my transmission fluid that I didn't know when I brought my car in. My transmission fluid wasn't even checked or considered at AAMCO and I was instead prompted to have my entire transmission rebuilt. Thankfully, upon further investigation, I got my leak fixed and didn't walk away taken advantage of. Whether it was a scam or just a terrible mistake, I almost wasted several thousands of dollars. Explore every option before making a purchase and take every estimate with a grain of salt.

They rescued my wife - her car wouldn't start, and she was parked right across the street from them! They towed it 100 feet to their garage, diagnosed the problem, ordered & received the part, & fixed the car - all in about 90 minutes! Thank you all! If we could give you more than 5 stars, we would! And thanks to your parts supplier for coming so quickly with the part!

I had work done on my transmission. These guys went above and beyond for me. They helped me out in so many ways including working late on a holiday weekend to fix my vehicle so I could make it to Florida for my 1st day of work at my new job. They were honest and very upfront about realistic expectations.

They replaced the transmission in my Mitsubishi. They were able to locate and install a used CVT transmission where the dealership in Kansas City was unable to do so. At first the service was friendly and prompt. They contracted a tow service to pick the car up at my house and within 1 - 1.5 weeks the car was finished. However, at some point they broke my windshield. It has taken weeks to get the issue resolved despite my multiple attempts to find a solution both locally and through the corporate entity. Aamco refused to take ownership for the damage, citing the presence of rock chips as evidence that the damage was not their fault. To be perfectly clear with this; the windshield was absolutely not broken when it left my house, and it had a large crack on the passenger side when I picked it up. I would avoid in the future.
