From a random email contact asking for more photos to closing the deal and hitting the road in our Lance 2375 Sheri, Marty, Martin and Darlene of Wheelen RV were fantastic! Who drives 750+ miles for 14.5 hours to look at a potential new RV?! We do after we ve thoroughly researched the brand, model and dealer! We ve been checking out Lance 2375 s for six months looking to upgrade from our Grey Wolf toy hauler. After searching for Lance dealers nationwide we discovered demand for 2375 s is currently exceeding supply. So when an RVtrader.com search showed Wheelen RV had the largest on-site stock, we quickly started checking their online reviews. Yes there are some 1star reviews sprinkled in among their 5, 4 and 3 star reviews. But as a social media marketer I get that. In fact I typically toss out the 5 star and 1 star comments to make up my mind about whether or not a business is worth my hard earned dollars. When you cut through the chaff Wheelen RV and specifically Sheri and her son Martin are definitely worth it!Sheri and Martin know their business and willingly shared their candid, honest opinions when answering all of our questions. After our purchase Sheri insisted on having us spend our first night on their lot in one of the full hook-up sites. That way we could get to know our rig and more importantly get answers to any unforeseen questions before we hit the road.I m so glad we did! There weren t any huge issues, but we did discover our awning needed a software update, we were missing two remotes and the switch from electric to propane on the fridge was completely different then on our previous model. So after shaking those minor issues down, Martin did a quick road test with us to double-check our hitch and brake set-up. Then we were off and on our own! Tonight we re somewhere in Corn Country Illinois and couldn t be happier with our purchase!Thank you Wheelen RV owners and crew you all ROCK in our book!

On tour and was referred to this place to find a breakaway cable for the trailer I m hauling. It s a hard to find product and they had it. Also had them review my tow setup. Very helpful and even went on a drive with me to help diagnose the drive performance. Thank you Darlene and Marty

Honest, experienced, and helpful. Sheri, Martin, Denise, and the rest of the team at Wheelen RV made everything a stress-free pleasure. They encouraged me to stay overnight onsite to ensure the unit was in 100% working order, and when problems did come up, they worked hard to make things right. With so many oversized high-pressure/poor-service RV dealers lurking out there, Wheelen is truly a breath of fresh air. I can't recommend them highly enough!

I was on my way from my home in Ohio south and then west about a couple days journey when a truck in front of me blew a tire. Could not avoid a large chunk of his tire in front of me. Tore out my gray and black tank drainage system damaging the exit port which caused it to leak. Spent a day traveling west worrying about finding someone to fix it. Accidentally got off the exit to eat breakfast this morning and saw the Winnebago sign at Wheelen R-V Center, Inc. Walked in and talked to the attendant at the service center storage area and she came out and looked at the damage and said she had the parts to fix it. She was concerned, having only 1 tech in service, that she might not be able to get it done quick enough for me. The young tech did the job within 10 minutes. He had me back on the road with 20 minutes. I'd give this service department 10 stars if I could. What a relief. On to the Wild West. Thanks Wheelen R-V!

While pulling my camper down to hot springs, Ar the bearings on my axle seized. I had to drop it off at this shop. Parts were delivered and the work was done in about a month. Which was 2 weeks sooner than estimated. Which was amazing. When I got there I noticed the color of trim that was installed didn t match my camper. When I talked to the lady behind the counter she said they would paint it, if I wanted to leave it here for another day. I had just driven 5 hours, so instead, I was told that I would receive 1 hour discount on labor, (Which I still haven t seen credited back onto my account) and I could color match it and paint myself. Which I m fine with. It wasn t mentioned that the piece of trim that was installed was a favor or that I wasn t charged for it. The 7pin connector on my truck wasn t working, so I couldn t use my power jack to hook up my trailer. I asked if they had jumper cables or sold batteries, so I could charge or swap my rv battery. They were nice enough to send a technician to manually crank the power jack. He tried several different sockets, but just ended up stripping a bolt that raises and lowers the jack. Which I don t really care about, I didn t know you could do that in the first place, and if the technician can t jack it up manually I doubt I would be able to either. Eventually the technician just brought over a quad and plugged my camper into it, so he could use the power jack electrically. If I lived in the area I d use them again. The people behind the counter are very nice and friendly and I have bought several things from their shop before. All in all good service.

Sheri and her team were very helpful with our purchase. I found the camper online and was able to have it held for me with just a small deposit, until I could come from Michigan to get it! Sheri arranged to have the camper set up for me with full hook up so could stay in it overnight on their property since I was arriving after business hours. Delivery day: Their techs were very knowledgeable in the Lance 865 I bought and wiring my truck to handle it. Sheri's team was very helpful in answering any questions I had. Overall, my experience with Wheelen RV was very pleasant, even getting a replacement fast gun lock and second set of keys that were missing were handled with no complaints from them. I will say I am still waiting on a 24" hitch extension (for a 2" receiver) to accommodate the Lance Ultra step that was included with the sale, and I'm sure they are still working on that as I have had trouble finding one in the aftermarket too. Worst case is one will have to be custom built as the parts can be bought online through amazon. EDIT: As promised, all the parts were sent and received for the hitch extension. Thanks for working with me on this! Dave

The experience up to delivery was decent and good. The emails and phone calls were prompt and straight forward. Got everything worked out and was a cash deal. Upon arrival was not very impressed with the receiving area and shop that my unit was parked in. It looked like one of the workers was sleeping in an old old camper out back. The shop was messy dirty, screws and nails everywhere. It looked like a tornado went through and techs lacked common knowledge of most items on the camper. I had to repeatedly ask if stuff was done, i had the feeling I knew more than the tech that was working on my unit. I will say paperwork was easy but left there wondering if I had made the right decision purchasing from there and the unit I purchased. I have referred a customer to them and to say the last that hasn't been a good referral. Attitude and how one speaks to customers weighs heavy for the customer experience. I seriously doubt that I will go back there again. A great 5 star rating

Wheelen RV ratingI have several comments...and none of them positive. Sheri was absolutely rude during the entire process. If we could have found the trailer we wanted anywhere else we would have driven 1,000 miles instead of dealing with Wheelen RV. From the moment we walked in we felt like they could care less about providing any sales information or service whatsoever. We did purchase our trailer and then the service issues began, and we really wished we had taken our business elsewhere! I'll just sum it up by saying we purchased our 2020 Lance 1995 in Nov 2020, and it has been in the shop (or waiting for parts or an opening to get our trailer in) for repairs for more than 5 months. The rude and hateful emails we received when we asked for follow ups on parts or other requests were unbelievably rude or would not respond.Like other Lance owners we have been waiting months for the recall part on the Dometic stove/oven to prevent gas leaks. After contacting Wheelen several times they still cannot or would not provide a date on parts for the service on our stove/oven. We are going to another certified Lance dealer for future business. Diana with Lance Customer Service was also not helpful after several phone calls. They clearly need to get OUT of the Business of providing Customer Service. Who treats customers that way? My strong suggestion... go ANYWHERE but Wheelen RV if you want to be a happy camper!

You always wonder what happened when you see negative reviews for a business, especially when your own experience was positive. I shopped for a Lance 850 truck camper for a couple years so talked to a lot of dealerships and people. Wheelen RV had a used unit and I called them. Being over 800 miles away I was the one taking a stiff chance. They had a decent unit, we negotiated a fair price, they held it for me until weather and schedules allowed a trip to pick it up. There were a couple small things I addressed after seeing it in person and they made them all 100% right. Even after I got home I called about something I found. Sheri made that right as well and surely could have said "no". I would go back to Wheeln RV and will recommend them to anyone. Eric, Northern Michigan.

If I could give them a 0 I would. We called this morning at 9:00am spoke with Shari and was told if it s on line we have it in stock. We explained how far we were traveling 400 miles and explained about what time we would arrive. When we arrived we were met by a man who did not know anything other then the one we wanted to see was sold. We were furious. Not even a phone call to tell us It was sold. The gentleman appeared to have Alzheimer s plus he informed us he has macular degeneration and was blind. He could not answer any questions. Shari wasn't even curteous enough to come speak with us. I am very disappointed with their general manners and respect. Knowing we were traveling to purchase cash deal not even a call. Wasted our time. Don't believe anything they tell you because The unit is still listed available on their website. In a way we are happy they didn't get our money.

I am a professional window cleaner. I wasn't a customer, but I spoke to the Mr. Wheelen a few months ago about cleaning his window. He was alright in his demeanor, but said they were going to wait for the weather to break. In the mean time I made an estimate and sent it to them specifically saying what the terms were and everything. I do this for a specific reason. I want the customer to understand what I'm offering and the price I'm offering it for.Every time I called to be sure they got the estimate and see if there were any questions I was always tossed around from person to person then told to call back very, very rudely. The rudest I believe was his wife, Mrs. Wheelen. She was terrible. Really laid on the sarcasm and not carrying about how selfish and rude she could be. I spoke to Mr. Wheelen last week, he asked the price and I told him $200. He said, "That's it? Alright, come in next week." He wanted me to come in after the weather broke, which I don't understand because his windows were located beneath deep overhangs and wouldn't be touched by the rain and rain water, unless you're in a very dirty, polluted area, doesn't hurt the windows at all.I got there and took immediate notice at how terrible the windows looked along with the deck, railings, the siding had bird feces all over it. It was just terrible for such a pretty place to be contaminated as such. I was going to make an offer to clean all of the bird waste, the algae on the floor and the algae on the railings up.I got started doing the BASIC CLEAN which I highlighted and outlined in the estimate as a very basic cleaning where I just put water on the glass and squeegee it off. But, they never saw the estimate. I have no idea why not with as many times as I called. The highest windows were terrible. I cleaned them once with just soaping the window and squeegeeing it down, but it didn't do much at all. I took my rag and wiped it and it came clean. This was a lot more work than the initial estimated cleaning and $200 allotted for. I would have had to have taken the rag, tie it to the pole, extend it roughly 28-foot in the air and scrub all of the glass.I decided to let them know and tell them if they wanted that I would have to add an additional $50 onto the bill. I tried to tell Mrs. Wheelen, but she was absolutely terrible and hateful to me. She said something to the effect of, "Yeah, well I don't want to deal with that right now. Look at all this! Look at is! I've got so much other stuff to do, the windows are honestly the last thing I'm worried about." I was thinking, "You ought to take a bit more price in your appearance and things may go a little better for you." She said her husband was on the lot and I needed to go see him.I took to the lot and found Mr. Wheelen in a trailer. I told him that I could do the basic clean for the suggested price or add $50 and wipe down the tall windows. He says, "Well, that's not what you said. You're trying to jerk me around around." This caught me completely off guard. I mean completely off guard. He said, "That's not what you said when you quoted the price and you're trying to get over on us." I said, "Sir, did you see the estimate?" He said, "Just never mind." I said, "You mean you don't want the service?" He said, "No, I don't. I'm busy. Just get out of here." I said, "Hang on a minute. I'm trying to be fair with you. I told you I could do the basic cleaning which is what I estimated, but your windows up top wouldn't be as clean. I can still do it." He said, "No. Just get out of here. I'm busy and don't have time for you." So, I left.If my son would have acted like them I would have bent him over my knee and told him big boys don't act like little boys. Goodness.

Horrible experience. Went there to purchase hose for black water, spent $110 on two hoses. One IMMEDIATELY broke as soon as we started to use it. We tried to get our money back and they refused. They only wanted to sell me MORE items to fix the broken hose with!! Can you believe that?? Don t buy anything there without thoroughly checking it over!!!

We purchased a new Lance "1475" travel trailer from Wheelen and had a fine experience, from the initial conversations, to trade-in negotiations, to inspection and delivery: honest, straightforward, and knowledgable. Their crew was also pleasant, knew the details, and helped with the myriad odds-n-ends that goes with any RV. Thank you!

We stopped in wanting to look at a fifthwheel we saw online, a man came up to us and we said we were interested and asked if we could look inside he said it was unlocked after walking in and immediately seeing water damage and the bathroom door ripped of the hinges along with several other issues. I made the comment it was needing more work then I wanted to do for the price as my boyfriend was asking to look at more campers they had the salesman rudely said to me what do you expect for $9,000 dollar camper. Because of today's experience I will never go back there and will never recommend it.

We are full time RVers and on our travels we got out of the storm and settled at a casino in the area. That night, the winds ripped our "vintage" air conditioning shroud right off and it shattered into pieces! Darlene got us together. We even got a little discount. Fabulous staff!!! We even got our propane filled.

I am confused by these low reviews. Maybe they were meant for some other company. I started looking for an RV around 8 weeks ago.No clue what to look for or wanted. Every unit Sherry would show me I'd say. "Oh yes! For sure, this is the one I want!" Then I would change my mind. I must have been in their showroom and/or lot, 10 times before I finally decided on one. Through it all Sherry and her husband Marty were sooo, patient. They also suggested I locate a rental and stay in it for awhile to make sure I really wanted to buy an RV. What sales person does that? Then "after" the sale is complete, end of Oct. they suggested I stay in my RV on their lot for a day or two so they could show me everything and answer my quetions. Yes, I'll have questions! I'm so grateful for the way they have worked with a rather high maintainance customer like myself. Oh, if you think they are being so helpful because my purchase was big dollars, well it was not, at all!! So no! They genuinely care. I'll keep you posted on the rest of this new adventure and if they still deserve a two thumbs up.

I just called for a price on tie down stakes for my slide in camper and was quoted $1,300. I said that i would just order the $75 ones off Amazon or fabricate them myself. She got pissy and hung up the phone. Im sorry you are WAY over priced. Not my fault. If anyone needs slide in camper tie downs you can order them from amazon for about $80 or find someone with a welder and have them make them for you.

We have 2004 Winnebago Adventurer. At the KOA down the road as we were setting up the front slide stopped moving, out about 18". The back 2 slides didn't move at all, thank goodness. We live in Michigan, so there was no way we could drive the rest of the way home like this. At 8 am, we drove the 5 miles to the shop with the slide out. They immediately took care of us. The motor for the slide burned out. Nick said he could try to rebuild it, but couldn't guarantee that it would work. So, they manually pushed the slide in and used wedges to keep it from coming out (just in case). They also found the problem why the house batteries wouldn't hold a charge. Everyone was super nice and I would recommend them.

Have had my travel trailer there 2 times .2016 and 2017 for repairs on the front side out . Both time paid for repairs and side out quit after siding it out 1 or 2 times .Tired of paying them for not fixing the side out right the first time. Wont go back not even for parts.

What a great dealership I had the privilege to work with Darlene in the parts department and she was extremely knowledgeable and truly brought back the greatness of what a family-owned dealership stands for I highly recommend this place
