If there was an option of an 10 star review I would give it!! Our family was driving through town for vacation and our truck just so happen to have a massive oil leak. Andy (owner) does work for my husbands company Monday- Friday. At 9:30pm on a Friday night Andy dropped everything he was doing to come and help our family. We would have been stranded with our 3 young children if it wasn t for him. Truly a Godsend!! Thank you so much for being there for us!Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Oil change

My International tractor would not start without using ether for 2 and 1/2 years. In Joplin, Missouri it finally gave up the ghost and wouldn't start it all. Turn the key. Nothing. I had it towed "The Truck Shop" Andy said that he would get it in the next morning. With most shops that means maybe one or two p.m. But at 8:35 The next morning my truck was being towed into the shop by a forklift. By 12:30 p.m. my truck was running. To my surprise, I saw the mechanic reach in there and start my truck without a ether. I exclaimed wait do that again! After spending 18,000 trying to fix the start issue at other places,,I had given up on that issue and just knew that I'd have to use either to start it for now on. The total shop bill was $671 and my truck now starts with the key!! If I could give 50 stars to this company I would gladly give it! My truck has never ran better!

I called this shop, looking for a reputable shop that isn t over priced. After explaining everything my truck was doing I received a quote that I was pleased with based on my research and discussions with several shops. I was told to bring it in on the next Wednesday. I was told it would take a week to get finished. A week went by and they hadn t even started on it. I was then informed that they hadn t even ordered parts for it yet. Then I was told the parts were ordered but they wouldn t be here for several days. I asked how long it would take after they got the parts and they said 3 days. It s now been a week since they got the parts in and they won t accept or return a phone call or message.Update... I finally got to talk with them today and they are setting the cab back on the truck. He (Andy) was very friendly and answered all of my questions. I will hopefully have it back today or tomorrow (over 2 weeks in). Their level of skill cannot be commented on at this time. But their level of communication and time management leave a great deal to be desired. If you are okay not knowing anything, being in the dark, and waiting well over twice the time you were quoted to get it done - you should be fine here. If you like to be in the loop and expect things to be done on time or at least a phone call to explain problems that arise, you won t be happy here. But the price is better than most other shops in town. So, maybe it balances out for some.

So the reviews for "The Truck Shop" are as follows:3 reviews with a 5 star rating 3 month's ago (a little fishy that they are all exactly 3 month's ago).1 review with a 5 star rating by Mr. Gess (family member).1 review with a 1 star rating 3 weeks ago (probably the only real customer in the list of reviews).I mention this because as our experience with them definitely doesn't deserve not even one star but I had to give one to be able to make a comment. So, two of our trucks went down at the same time and I was told to take the truck to this fine shop so we did (first mistake). It started out with a brake issue and quickly snowballed into much more which ended up with a bill of $3100.00- at least two weeks later the truck is finally ready (or so we thought). The truck was brought back because of numerous issues such as the 4x4 no longer working but did when we brought it to them, the buttons on the steering wheel no longer worked but did when we brought it in, the steering wheel sat vertically instead of horizontally as it should, the play that was in the front end was worse than before we brought it in (and this was after they changed the stearing box I think it's called). To make a longer story short; we took the truck back 2 times (2nd mistake) and it's still not 100%. Our other truck was basically the same hassle, we got the truck back and it was still jacked up. It went back and supposedly they didn't tighten the bolts to the tranny and appologized all over the place. Well, this morning the 4x4 doesn't work and there are some other issues as well. I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACETO ANYONE! If anyone doubts what I'm saying they can contact me and I will show the proof! Nothing more gets me so angry than someone taking money and not doing their job correctly. I understand once in a while but really, this is too much! So, I just got off the phone (5 minutes after posting this review) with my husband who is telling me that the power steering fluid is leaking and it's because one of the hoses that was removed (while changing the stearing box) wasn't tightened. I refuse to go back to them even though we have to pay another mechanic too fix What the messed up. What more is going to happen though?

RUN...AND RUN FAR. The owner (Andy), is a lying, cheating, scumbag.We are forced to take legal action. All good reviews are bs...note the same dates. You've been warned. Andy, we will see you in court
