Donny and Rick are very nice guys. Fixed me up and got me on the road pretty quick. Had to leave the truck over a night or two but wasn't too bad. Everything they do has a 5 year warranty. They did a great job. Reasonable price. Good customer service!

Honest and helpful! I was told by Walmart Auto department that my tire (which was purchased from Walmart) was "rotten" and could not be repaired; however, they could "air it up and get me on the road." I wanted a second opinion, so I drove to Nixon's Garage. Amazingly, they repaired the tire! Thanks to Nixon's Garage for their honesty and integrity!

went in to get a turn signal fixed, truck got sideswiped in there parking lot and the owner says "I'm not talking to you about it" & walks off. Leaving me with more problems then I came in with, and a smashed up fender. No cameras in or around building so they have no way of helping you if something were to happen while you leave your vehicle there to get worked on. They would deny any involvement & leave you high & dry just like they did me. Said they would make it right multiple times.. only to lead me on. Truck was prestige when I took it in, now I have more issues then I started with. Can not be trusted. Probably have no business insurance. Would do you just like they did me.. would never recommend this shop to anyone

Spoke with them over the phone only so far, Quick and open to all my questions, fast and honest answers. I Definitely would look into them, if I need mechanical services.

Everyone at Nixon's Garage was great. I had my kids with me and we were there the whole day. We were driven to lunch and the kids were given popsicles. Everyone was very friendly. They got us down the road. We were not from Joplin so I called my mechanic, whom I know and trust, to tell him what I was being told and the price I was being quoted. My mechanic confirmed everything was on par and we were being taken care of.Thank you for the great service!

I came into the shop at 5.30 pm on a Friday night and the guys were super nice and did my state inspection. I was done in 20 minutes.

This guy runs a racket with the police. He tows cars for them and will hold your vehicle for ransom and do whatever he can to rack up as many made up fees as he can and/or try to keep your vehicle. He's a lowlife. If you need your car worked on, take it to somebody that doesn't prey on Joplin citizens.

Three years ago, before I lived in Joplin, these guys helped me out of a situation with great service. Now I live here, I went back to them, and received great service once again. Now I'm moving my fleet here. Excellent service! My alternator went out and Rick came to tow me and arrived within 20 minutes as stated. Rick and his mechanic both stayed an hour late just to make sure I got back on the road since I live an hour away from Joplin. Went to eat while they worked on my car, margaritas within walking distance. Rick kept us entertained. Price was exactly what I was told on the phone.

Nov. 2018: I was very pleased with my experience here. I needed a safety inspection and I was in and out very quickly. I'd come back if I needed more substantial work performed in the future.Edit July 2019: Still very pleased with this company. My insurance provider used Nixon's Towing when my vehicle wouldn't start. Very professional and friendly staff. Even tried to help repair the issue before putting it on the tow truck.

Hometown Service!There are very few places in our day that put the customers first over the almighty dollar.We began our journey with Nixon s a few weeks ago when we purchased a used car from Mr. Nixon. We appreciated his honesty and he was great to work with.During conversation we began talking about another vehicle we have that needed repairs. He threw us out an estimate which included coming to pick it up. We agree to proceed and he was here that night to pick it up.Not only has he been fantastic to work with but he was very honest about finding that what we thought was wrong wasn t the issue and the final repair bill was much much cheaper. So many of other not so honest people would have easily taken advantage of the situation.We live around 45+ minutes away and we will gladly drive to Joplin to continue working with Mr. Nixon and his crew.

I came to Nixon's because my best friend recommended them to me because of his good experience, I needed some routine maintenance, they handled it quickly and professionally and for a fair price. I've heard nothing but good things about this shop and would recommend them for any of your auto maintenance needs.

This place, the people and town was a godsend. My fiance and I were traveling and experienced car troubles. They took us under their wing the SAME day and got us back on the road without hassel and without breaking the bank. Thank you!!!

I have been a loyal customer to Nixon's Garage for 10 years now. They take care of both of my family's vehicles and they make sure that their prices are never high but still give wonderful quality service to my vehicles and my wallet. They know me by name and I them. I will always suggest Nixon's to any of my friends and strangers.

Told them exactly what we needed done. Told them as well once I got there. They ended up replacing 3 interior door handles that were not broken as well as 1 exterior door handle. Also, had brake noise diagnosed(they told me after I called since they had forgot to do this as well) and the diagnosis was not printed off and appears to be inaccurate since I had a friend drive and noise was coming from rear and I fixed by spraying brake dust off drum. I explained that they fixed a bunch of things that clearly worked, and they would not give a partial refund or any compensation at all. I have went here over 30 times, and this is how I was treated. $243 in waste and more in parts. On top of this, the drivers door stopped working yesterday... Scared to take it back, so I won't. My advice, try someplace else. They are courteous until you show them they were taking advantage of you and ask for a partial refund. Not much to ask. $10 would have made me feel like they at least felt bad about it. Actions speak louder than words however, and they have shown their true colors.

Well to start with the transmission in my truck went out I bought a transmission from Meadows and there was an issue with it so they called Nixon's. The transmission has a 90-day warranty so I'm hoping and praying that Nixon's will be able to get my truck up and going meaning the transmission I'm guessing to my knowledge from what I've heard that the transmission has to be aligned up with the brain in the truck so I don't know if that's the issue but hopefully Nixon's will be able to fix what needs to be fixedServices: Transmission, Car towing

Thank you Rick !!!! I was stuck on the side of the road with my whole family , my pets, and 2 vehicles and they made sure they could get us all picked up and safe at a hotel while they towed both my vehicles and fixed my truck and got us back on the road. I am forever grateful for you guys and your help, truely nice and caring. He had my vehicle up and working and no time and had us back on the road. Pricing was very affordable. Rick is a stand up guy. I bought a car from him and the vehicle had engine issues the next day. After calling him and explaining the situation he had the car towed back to his shop at his expense to fix the vehicle. He told me it was the right thing to do. He is an honest, kind person. Owner was very rude on the phone after asking for a price quote. Wanted 80 dollars to press a bearing on a steering knuckle which I ended up doing at my house and it took 6 minutes. He told me well do it yourself then and then hung up.

Went here for a while to get my car fixed with no problems. One day when I go in to get a tail light fixed they found $1400 worth of things "wrong" with my vehicle. Gave them the go ahead to start fixing things and my car sat there for 3 days and they didn't even touch it. Picked it up and took it to Joplin Transmission and they fixed everything in a day and a half for $430. I will NEVER be returning to Nixon's. They lost a very good customer.

My daughter found this place and tookmy car there to get the wheel fixed. They said the wheel hub had to be replaced and charged her over $400 to do that. Then 3 months later same wheel same problem and I'm told it was never replaced to begin with. The new mechanic said that they had probably just tightened it and it shpuld have never cost over $400! They are rip offs that took advantage of my daughter who knows nothing about cars but had a hand full of money! NO ONE SHOULD EVER TRUST THESE PEOPLE!

True professionals. I went to this shop after wasting $150.00 at another place. They diagnosed the actual problem and I was out of there in 2 hours with a new fuel pump. If you want REAL mechanics to fix a real problem you can't go wrong with these guys. The shop isn't fancy but make no mistake these guys are the best in the four state area. You can go to other places for oil changes and stuff but when you need a true pro go to these guys FIRST.
