Was really caught in a tough spot broke down in Joplin. A very busy shop and I was fairly forewarned it would be a few days before my truck got in but the repair is done, trucks home and running well,fair price. Deal.

With all the positive reviews for this company I expected a good experience from Adams Auto, but what I received was nowhere near good. In fact it was worse than bad.I called on 9/21 to make an appt to bring in our vehicle to have the 4-wheel drive checked out. They said bring in on Fri am 10/6, which I did. When I dropped it off I made the mistake of saying it's a spare vehicle so no need to rush. I called on 10/10 to check the status; they said haven't got to it yet. OK we'll wait, no problem. I called back on 10/16 to check the status. They said the problem is in the transfer case, they would check it further and work up some numbers and call me back. Didn't receive a call from them until Wed 10/18. The call was from the shop owner. He did not give me a quote on the repair, but instead told me that the catalytic converter had been stolen off of our vehicle! They said it had happed to several vehicles on their property including mine. He also said they would NOT pay for replacing the stolen parts. What?? I said if you guys had got to it sooner I would have picked it up and avoided the theft. He agreed, but still would not take responsibility for fixing it, or even give me a quote on fixing the damage. Well what about the reason I brought it in, how much will that cost? He said let me look at it again and work up some numbers. No call back from them, so on 11/10 I called to find out the status. The owner said because of the parts being stolen off the truck it was too noisy for them to finish the diagnosis on the 4-wheel drive issue. (He could have told me that 3 weeks ago...)So they refused to pay to replace the stolen catalytic converter that happed on their property, or even offer to fix it at a reduced amount.They never gave me an estimate on the 4-wheel drive repair (the reason for bringing it in the first place).We had drove our truck to their shop, but had to have a tow truck come collect it due to the stolen parts.I was a repair business owner for 11 years, and know that in business, customer service is everything. I've experienced some bad service in my time, but this one takes the cake.So yeah, less than one star from me.

I just moved here about a year ago from Jenks. Oklahoma, do not know anybody or know any shops. My tourq converter went out. They got to it very quickly they were very professional treated me fairly. Very professional Very honest over chard me by mistake ca ed me to let m e know that was shocked

Adams was great. We started our vehicle and it was showing that our power steering had gone out. The power steering wasn t working, so based on a recommendation from a friend we gave Adams a call. We are from out of state, and Adams began working in the vehicle quickly. He let us know it was a simple sensor issue, and he just had to clear the code and re enter it, and it began to work. He was very helpful and took good care of us.

My daughter was in town with 4 small kids. The day before her scheduled return (in the afternoon!) her battery light came on. I picked up her vehicle, went to get the battery tested, and was told that the alternator (not the battery) was bad. The battery place mentioned 2 shops, one of which was Adams Automotive, Inc. I drove her car to the shop. They are VERY BUSY and have a waiting line. I described her situation, and they agreed to squeeze it in. The van would not start, so we left it there. The owner gave me a ride to where my car was. By noon of her departure day, her minivan had a new alternator, and is working well. Excellent service! Kind hearted! Very fair price! I recommend this shop enthusiastically! A++Service: Electrical repair

By far the best mechanics around. Fabulous customer service, speedy and straight shooters. These days it s very hard to find a place that is trustworthy and honest. Adams automotive is everything and above. Thank you for being a honest and reliable business. You can count on my business from this day forward!!!!

I have had 4 transmissions rebuilt at Adams, and have never had any issue whatsoever with any of them, and will definitely go back again..
