If you want quality, professionalism and honest work this is a place to be. Sean was professional and honest on what my vehicle needed, and Jr did an awesome job with putting in a new transmission in a timely manner I m pregnant and when they gave me a date and time when my vehicle would be done it was to a T. A big thanks to Sean, Jr and Elliot.

Certified Transmission is the BEST place to take your vehicle if you need your transmission replaced/repaired or just routine flushes! Shout out to Sean for being so awesome explaining everything and working with us getting my vehicle back! It means so much to find a place with genuine people you can trust to do an amazing job! 10/10 recommend for anyone having transmission problems to come here to have it fixed. They are quick, and efficient, and my car feels almost brand new! Sean is kind, and excellent at communicating what is going on/where things are in the process of getting fixed. I appreciated how much he reached out to let me know what was happening. Great working Brian he fixed my transmission after taking it to another transmission shop and they couldn't figure out the problem. No one wants to have to get a new transmission for their car after looking around and talking with several friends and my normal service shop I was glad I chose Certified Transmission. Certified Transmission was so helpful to me. My transmission whet out and they fix it for me and walk me through what was going on with it. It was fixed in a matter of day's. We took our Vehicle to Midwest Transmission. After being told we would have to replace Our Transmission and Our ABS system (the lady was very rude to us making us have a horrible experience at Midwest Transmission. I called Certified Transmission. Sean was very nice and respectful. He made this experience a great one. We left our vehicle with him. He was very knowledgeable about everything and explained it in a way we could understand. Come to find out i never needed a new transmission. It was just a matter of cleaning out corrosion. So my issue that i thought would have cost us thousands only cost us a few hundred dollars. I would definitely recommend Certified Transmission to anyone.

The team at Certified Transmission on 23rd St. in Independence, were so helpful. They were able to diagnose the problem quickly, provide a solution and cost and got me back on the road within 48 hours. Sean fielded calls from me with questions on multiple occasions and was gracious, informative and helpful every time.

Took my vehicle in for some prevention maintenance right at 7:30am. Was told the evaluation would take about an hour. I called the shop around 11am.Was talk to like I was bothering them and was told I needed a new transmission when I had just had my vehicle worked on by another professional mechanic shop and nothing about needing transmission work was mentioned. Do yourself a favor and get a second opinion. I was charged 80 dollars for just looking at a vehicle that hadn't shown any issues other than what I had gotten previously worked on and was told I needed a rebuilt transmission produced by them of course at the cost of almost 5 thousand dollars versus helping the customer with low priced alternatives.Companies like these care more about your wallet then you as a customer. Brian was really good at talking down to me and stating he wouldn't help me until I had additional work done instead of helping me.

The people here are great! Thank You Sean! They are soft spoken, and kind. They explain everything in detail in a way non mechanics can understand. Transmission repair can be expensive, but at least this company behaves in a way that they are grateful for you being a paying client. The most horrible experience ever in the independence MO location. Refused my truck tow after scheduling it with their tow partner. Even the driver said he s never seen them act like that with any vehicle before.

The guy's at the 23 in independence was really helpful and took care of the problem i had after the work was done as should did not have any issues took it in and got it fixed guy was really helpful overall

I was referred to this shop by Buddy's Automotive, whom I trust.Manager Sean was great, very professional and polite. The waiting room and bathroom were clean and tidy.I was very worried my transmission was a goner, and I would have to spend a thousand bucks or more. They looked at it and told me that an animal had chewed through the wires connecting my transmission to the car's computer. The bill was slightly less than what Sean initially quoted me, at right about $200. I think that a less honest shop could've told me all kinds of things were wrong to charge me out the wazoo for labor. This was not the case. To say I was relieved was an understatement.I'd highly recommend this shop to anyone, and will return if transmission service is ever needed.Thanks Sean!

Absolutely do not take your car here. Spent more money than I bought my car for. Lackluster attention to service or customer service ( Curtis! ). Still can't drive my car down the road for 2 miles without it shutting down. The "new parts" aren't even working. How does that even make sense!! DANGER DO NOT GO THERE EVEN IF IT'S FREE!!!

We called Certified Transmission after receiving a very inappropriate quote from a local GMC Buick Cadillac dealership for my daughter s 2014 Buick Verano. I spoke to Sean from my first call to the last without being tossed around. He had the car towed to their shop from the dealership at no cost, in order to give us a 2nd opinion & quote which was a very much appreciated considering this is a very stressful situation! He quoted me appropriately from the beginning and kept in communication throughout the entire process. I m very satisfied and would recommend anyone deal with Sean at Certified Transmission as he provides top notch customer service.Service: Transmission

Excellent customer service and Sean Dunn was amazing in helping me figure out what was wrong and getting me the best price. I had estimates from 3 other shops, including where I bought the car, and Certified was the best price. You never want to hear that your car needs costly repairs but if you do, I would recommend Certified Transmission in Independence!Service: Transmission

Had to get a full transmission replacement. Sean went to bat with the warranty company and they were expedient with the repairs. A pretty stressful situation but these guys made it as painless as you could.
