After multiple bad experiences with our old mechanic we had used for 15 years. I needed a lot of work done on my old pick up. I was looking for someone to do quality work with quality parts. I have used Buddy's 3 times in the last year and always 1st rate work with quality parts. I highly recommend them.

My car had a pretty serious oil leak and was not starting Mike and the team at Buddy s got it fixed right up and were honest and extremely respectful to me. Sometimes it can be hard to find a good shop as a woman but these guys were all so kind, patient, communicative and knowledgeable. Thanks Buddy s

We received an older vehicle that would not pass inspection. After everyone telling us to take it Buddy's to be made ready for inspection, we decided to do that. Mike was an incredible person to deal with. He was honest and upfront about the cost and the time it would take to receive our vehicle back. That was a few years back, and I have used them several times since then. I'm a world of lies and deception it is refreshing to find a place that won't lead you astray.

This place shouldn't be open. They replaced my alternator in November. My bearings in my alternator are wearing (had a reputable mechanic look at my car) and buddies denied anything wrong with it. Once I called them out on the independence awareness group, Mike chose to call me in attempt to make me think a cell in my battery was bad. If a cell was bad my battery would not be working at all. Then proceeded to tell me changing the alternator wouldn't do anything but he would do it. I denied his offer after seeing so much sketchy stuff they have done to others. And he got mad and hung up on me. Very unprofessional and I will never be returning i do not appreciate being treated stupid because I'm woman. I'm smarter than they realize and they just messed with the wrong one. Will be reporting.UPDATE: had to have some other things replaced in my car by Ford and sure enough my alternator just went out like I told them it was. So now instead of getting it replaced covered by their warrenty im out over 1k because of buddies. I'm a single mom and work my butt off to provide for my family. For buddies to screw me like they did is ridiculous. i will never be returning and will advise others to do so as well.

I dropped my vehicle off for brakes and an oil change. An error was made by a young new mechanic, but Buddy took care of everything and made it right without charging me for a newer and better engine. What seemed like a bad situation turned out to be a blessing in disguise. I don't know that any place else would have taken care of things the way Buddy's Automotive did. Kudos to Buddy and Mike for being honest and real.

We had an excellent experience with Buddy s Automotive. We had a repair that we thought was going to cost us much more. They were able to get our Explorer in the next day and we had it back. We truly appreciate their honesty and customer service. We would recommend Buddy s Auto to everyone.

Do Not take your car here they lie and charge well over the amount quoted. Then tell you your car will be ready same day and don't contact you so you contact them and it takes 2 days and 4 phone calls. Absolutely the worst place.

Family and I have taken our vehicles to Buddy's Automotive since the shop was opened. Recently after several very expensive, emergency auto repairs (sad to say, done somewhere else due to location) I was able to get my car to Buddy's on a Friday morning and alternator replacement was completed that afternoon, $300.00 LESS than another local shop had quoted. Honest, friendly, reliable crew in the same location for 30 years. They have always been there and able to help when needed. Very grateful to have an honest mechanic!

Quick and easy to set up an appointment (got me in faster than any of the franchise places) and took care of me. They were creative in solving my problems and found ways to save me money when they didn't have to. I'd definitely use them again.

After a bad experience with a shade tree mechanic my vehicle was barely drivable. I was referred to Buddy's. I brought my vehicle in and I'm glad I did. They had to redo everything that was previously done and then some. It now drives better than ever. I highly recommend Buddy's. Mike and his team will take great care of your vehicle.

This place needs help. My friend went and dropped her car off to get a hub assembly fixed on her car and when she picked it up they did not fix the right thing and new tires on her car instead. Then they charged her $400 plus and then when she brought to their attention they had done something totally different to her car that called the police on her.This place is not professional at all called her out of her name for their misunderstanding.She was in tears when she left

I brought my car to the Buddy's for an inspection. They were down a tech and there was going to be a longer wait than I expected. However, they pushed my car through and finished way earlier than I thought. The service was friendly, and it was easy to make an appointment. I will definitely be back.

Unreliable says when will really start work. Said "Can start Wednesday" but it's Friday and they have not even started.Not "On Time" as Buddy's website promotes.On Monday was told could start Wednesday, Wed said Thursday lunch, Thursday said Friday morning, Friday morning said by end of day. Leave me no time to get broken window replaced before weekend, so now if I take it home at end of day I will have to park it with an open window all weekend. If on Monday he had just said might be Friday, I could have had it towed somewhere that could have started work earlier.Mike asked me to edit that they're "very busy" and are looking as soon as they can. But to be "on time" must be honest that wait times likely are over twice their guesses.End result: Overcharged for investigating electrical issues, and for trying to use a wrong key left by the thief rather than the car's actual key.Mike mixed up and gave me someone else's receipt who they charged almost $2000 for brake work.I talked with enough people while getting my car worked on and getting car parts in Independence to report that Buddy's has a reputation for overcharging in Independence MO.Quick tempered. I don't appreciate being angrily told "Tell me what you expect" and "stop calling or I'm going to get angry." .

I prefer to do my own work, however I needed a new transmission put in my Xterra...Mike at Buddy's worked with me despite the new transmission being delivered a month early....the work was done on time and the estimate was within a dime of predicted cost. The quality of work done and the integrity of Mike and his whole staff was excellent....I am a retired mechanic and really picky and I would most highly recommend this shop to anyone desiring honest and superior serviceServices: Transmission, Vehicle Inspection

Even tho they couldn't fix my car, they where up front with me and made sure they knew the issue before attempting to work on it. They saved me money and gave me good advice.They are slow but I think it's worth it!!!
