First and last time doing business here. Had a vehicle towed in, he explained he was busy and couldn t get to it until next week. Okay, about three weeks later calls and tells me what he found. Says he can get it done the following Monday or Tuesday. Approximately 3 weeks later it was finally done. Anytime I called I was told I will communicate with you . Not a very good communicator. When I called was told that he had other things come up, he will get to it when he can. Picked up the vehicle got some long explanation about how someone caused the new problem that he found. (Which is the problem that I took it in for). The vehicle is not fixed and now I need to take it elsewhere and spend more money to get it fixed. Not pleased with service or communication. Vehicle was there for over a month, I paid a good chunk of money and the vehicle is not fixed. Also quoted me a price when he finally did call and then when it was done charged about $80 more than quoted. Said he found other wrong in the same area. What company does not call to let you know and make sure it s okay to go ahead and repair. Absolutely horrible business practices.

First time and last time I ll ever take anything here. Told me my VIN wasn t accepting for ID/OD inspection, don t know what to tell ya and walked away. Had to chase him down for an explanation and he said his tablet hasn t worked all day. Probably should have led with that. I wouldn t take my kids bicycle here to have the tire inflated.

Simply had a flat in the back of my van that needed air. Pulled up while he was outside asked if they could fill it real quick. Told me five dollars. Would took five seconds, I coulda even done it. He was super rude too in his response.. charge me five bucks for air. Wonder what else they are gunna run up the tab on...

Got me in quickly for an inspection! Mechanic Timmy noticed I was in need of oil change at time of inspection and was willing to service the the oil change with my own oil I had in the vehicle for a excellent price! All staff was knowledgeable and forward. Bryan is a fantastic counter man and offered me excellent customer service.

Was very rude to my daughter. She had her car towed down there it sat there for 7 days and then they told her if she needed her car to come get it because they could not look at it because they were busy. But yet they took mother in laws car 5 days after daughters and said they would look at it next day. Will never use them againService: Auto maintenanceService: Auto maintenance

Let me start off by saying my Truck presented an intermitent problem that Franken's could not get to replicate at shop after I had it towed there the first instance. They had it for a little over a week granted they were busy and they worked me in and I was understanding. Though he did say he would keep in touch and tell me what was going on with the truck but didn't. I called every couple to 3 days to check in. After about an additional week I called back and talked to Ray. He said he believed he knew what it was. He had to drop the spare tire and look. Ok we are getting some where and I shared my appreciation. He said he would look at it and give me a call back that evening. No call. Later the next afternoon I called to check and they still haven't looked at it. I was frustrated but understood people are busy. Then the next day I get the truck back and all is happy. Fast forward 4 days later truck does the same thing it was doing and leaves me stranded in the city. Ray said have it towed to him and he would take care of it. About to weeks into the second visit at Franken's I call and all he had done was leave it running all day and drove to lunch and back trying to get it to relapse nothing. I needed my truck so I told he I would try and put a new throttle body on it and see if it fixes the issue myself and if it didn't I'd bring it back he said "alright." We are 2 weeks later today and it did it again. I was close enough to his shop I limped it in so he could see what it was doing. I walk into the shop and as soon as he figured out who I was he said, " well we don't have time today" I knew if we let it sit over night the problem would most likely go away. I told him it would take 5 mins to allow one of the mechanics to see issue for themselves since they have about 3 to 4 weeks in trying to get my truck to fault. Then he proceeds to tell me that since I have worked on the truck since ( replaced a throttle body, which I believe my 4 year old could do) he said he doesn't want to work on it because it had be tampered with. Even though he could of told me this prior and I would have just left my truck there. Again I was understanding throughout entire process because I knew they were busy and it was an intermittent issue but he could of saved me a lot of time and just told me he couldn't fix it from the get go.Service: General repairs & maintenance

We had an appointment at 1pm for an inspection, and walked in 3 minutes late. With no other cars in the bays, they proceed to tell us that they gave the appointment to someone else and would not help us. Absolutely awful service. Didn't even offer a different appointment time. (and again, there was nobody else there or cars in the bays). Would NEVER return here or recommend it to anyone else. When i called back, they said he was 7 minutes late to the appt and bc of being so busy they had to keep up with demand (again, no other cars, AND it was only 3 minutes past the our, not 7). Ridiculous.

They squeezed me in for an inspection at the last minute! As a busy working mom I really appreciate that! They were courteous and fast. Will definitely be back if I need any work done!

I've had my cars repaired here for years. They have always been prompt & honest. I've never had to go back for the same problem. I moved to Festus a couple of years ago & I still go to Franken even tho there is shops closer.

You gotta learn how to talk with some manners on the phone lol never heard someone get upset so fast when trying to setup an inspection appointment.

Took my car for inspection, left with greasy huge shoe prints on floor pads. Went back asked to clean up, no apology, the manager asked me "Do you want us to kiss your ass". Very rude and disrespectful. Poor customer service. Worst place ever.

NEVER take your vehicle for the state safety inspection. I have lived in Missouri for 8 years and have had 5 safety inspections done on my vehicles. 2 times (fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me) I have taken my vehicle to Dan Franken Auto Repair and they have failed both of my inspection because of tie rods being loose. Then they charge nearly double the price to fix them than other locale businesses. If I could rate this business 0 stars I would. May no one ever be screwed by this business again.

Takes extremely too long and horrible customer service. Took 5 days to fix a window, took my car somewhere eles and it was done in less than an hour.

Do not take your car there. Very rude and heard them saying the F word when my wife and son were there. I will never take my car there again!

Said what he would do, did what he said, did not exceed the estimate even though he ran into a major problem, problem was fixed well, and then fixed my passenger seat belt at no charge without even telling me.

Super Professional. I had a catastrophic engine failure due to a defect from the manufacturer & he talked me through everything & even gave me advice on how to deal with the dealership.
