Went in there to just get a vehicle inspection. After an hour and a half they told me my car would not pass unless I spent $1800 on broken arm controllers, they said they would do them right then and there for me, gentlemen! I'm not car savvy so I asked a buddy for advice and he directed me towards a couple different shops around town. Neither shop could find even the slightest problem and had no idea what they were talking about and I passed inspection easily as my car is well maintained. I recommend Firestone 5 out of 5 stars if you want to waste almost $2000 on a part that you don't need. Nice chairs in the lobby though. Thanks Firestone!

I had a friend take his 2008 Lexus there for an inspection. They told him it needed control arms. It would cost $1800. He took it to another shop. They could find nothing wrong with it! Don't go there, unless you want to get ripped off!!!

Chances are if you go to this location you will leave with a missing catalytic converter in less than 24hrs. The management and staff were totally careless. They are NOT willing to cover any of the loss or partially get involved at all. To help protect themselves, they blamed it on the property owner IHOPU (The International House of Prayer University) which is very unethical and shady to hear that from Firestone. This will be escalated to upper management and IHOP.Besides all that, my steering wheel was off center after they completed a 4-wheel alignment and had me replace a ball joint.

My check engine light came on today, a Sunday, and I was lucky enough to pull off at the exit with this Firestone! So friendly and helpful. Still something jacked with mycar, but they got me on the road and to a Firestone near my house. Amazing, amazing people. Thanks!

My car was in perfect condition, I only took it to check the tires, then they told me that the power steering fluid was leaking and suddenly out of nowhere the steering wheel started rattling

Took my car in and was told I needed to replace my water pump and timing chain. Over 3000 dollars. Supposedly repaired. 12.months later, water pump is bad again. Was told by firestone the parts are under warranty but not labor. Let them fix it again for almost 2000 dollars. Almost a year later car starts overheating, oil light blinking. I take it to the dealer. They say that the parts were installed incorrectly now I have leaking around my water pump and timing chain. Apparently this is 4000 to fix through the dealer which still would have saved me money based on the 5000 or so I paid them to do it incorrectly TWICE. I'm starting to think every business in grandview is trash.

Came in for a safety inspection. Not sure how this benefited them but they told me the windshield tint was too low and I had a crack in my brake light lens. It took 2 seconds to remove the tint, and there was no crack or moisture in the lens. When I called to explain this and set an appointment for the next inspection, I was told that they don t make the rules and was hung up on before I could make another appointment. Why would you send me home if the windshield tint and this supposed brake light lens was in issue? Incredibly easy fixes, 5 minutes tops. No care to help, do the bare minimum. Hell of a philosohy.

Took 2 working days out of my schedule because I had to go back for them to complete the job that should have been done one the first job. I didn t get a call all day, I followed up to find my car had been ready for a while. I show up to get my car and the manager gave my keys to the wrong person. I then had to wait another 20 minutes in the lobby. After all of this - I still paid for everything in full, with a $40 online coupon that anyone can apparently download.I strongly do not recommend Firestone.Services: Brakes, Oil change

I went in today expecting a quick alignment and a couple new tires. Once they got my car up they saw it was missing a locking nut to inner tie rod. We originally thought the only way to get this part was to buy a whole new rack and pinion and replace it. Ramiro went out of his way to.find this part without me having to replace my whole rack and pinion. He saved me about a 1000 dollars! He absolutely did not have to go out of his way like he did for me. He was super friendly even tho he was swamped with customers in the store and calling all at the same time. The mechanic was even super friendly and took the time to show me exactly what was missing and where it was missing from and answered all my million questions. I usually dont like Firestone because I feel like the prices are just outrageous but after my experience at this location I have new found respect for Firestone. Ramiro is awesome!!

Beware, This place is a horrible rip off. I was charged almost $1500 for water outtake valve replacement. The work was not done. Took my vehicle to the dealership a week later, where they confirmed. I had the same problem. The mgr at Firestone became combative when I called him out on it, then proceeded to tell me I had a engine problem & needed a new engine.

Would not recommend! Had an emergancy after getting service at another firestone location was told to call here as it was the closest to me and come in the morning, they never answered the phone after multiple attempts to call and even when calling the following day, failed to answer the phone. When i got to the location they said "oh we didnt get your call." So they refused to help us

I spent over 5,000 for my car to cut off the next day WITH MY KIDS IN THE CAR ON THE HIGHWAY when i go back to address the situation the store manager proceeds to tell me it would be a charge! I ask for corporate number he then proceeded to tell me to LOOK IT UP! I call corporate tell them the situation they proceeds to tell me they will send it to regional manager & he or she would give me a call! SIX DAYS go by no word from anyone I call back to get the same a regional will call you within 24-48hrs! THREE more days go by he calls and tells me that he s sorry but there s nothing he can do! Mind you that these people left very important pieces off my car (i got a new engine) that could have BLOWN UP if i kept driving without taking it to be seen! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE THIS IS JUST HALF THE STORY ITS SO MUCH MORE!

Called about getting work done on my car the price was $1.175 so I called Three different shops in town they were all $300.00 to $400.00 dollars for the the same work I called and asked why so much more they were I got no explanation. Is what it is I'll never call Firestone for any auto repair needs.

Never ever ever do business here. I took my truck to this place for an oil change and a shift cable. After having a reservation for almost a week. After getting my truck back and paying over $600, I drove home a few blocks away. I checked my oil and it had not been changed. So I took it back & was told that's how it's supposed to look. So I pointed out the oil filter that I put on it the last time when I changed it myself. Then they took it ask in & changed it. The next day I noticed oil leaking from everywhere. Now the shift cable. At the present time, while I write this, my shift cable is not right. I have a low gear I can't reach & the PRND gears don't want to come in right. They say bring it back Saturday. Do I really want them doing any more to my truck? Hmmm?NEVER DO BUSINESS HERE!!It made me five 1 star.

in 2020 I unfortunately purchased tires from Firestone Grandview during the height of the pandemic. My go to, Tire's Plus was not able to get me in. Never again will I compromise service for convenience. During the winter this year my tire pressure dropped several times. Most times I just went to QT and used the air pump. But on a couple of occasions the tires were really low and I did not want to compromise them so I went back to where i purchased them which was very short drive. The first time I encountered some really unfriendly looking males standing around smoking or on their phones who acted as though I was bothering them by asking for air and who reluctantly proceeded to air up my tires with no conversation. Second time, today I was standing out behind the shop to get air again. I knocked on the bay windows and they all just looked at me and went about doing what ever they were doing so I called. I got Crystal who apologized and said she would be out but its cold out. Okay. So when she came I got out with her she proceeded to tell me that some times they cannot accommodate customers by airing up tires. I asked why I am sure she said something to the effect on Tuesday and Thursday they are busy. I replied never had that problem with Tire's plus. Maybe I should not have purchased tires here since I know I have road hazard also . If I recall correctly she was the same person who, when I purchased my tires told me that my sensors could have been broken when I brought my tires because they stopped working as soon as they put the new tires on. I said ok and did not worry about it. However, b when I took my car back to have them rotated all of a sudden the sensors were working again. The point of this is Firestone in Grandview display some of the worst customer service I can think of. I would not recommend them or purchase any products or service from them again.

I've had great experiences here. In all, I've come in a few times for oil changes, new tires and alignment, and just general checkups. The manager Kou and all the staff are friendly and knowledgeable--they would explain to me anything that I wanted to know in details (I'm not a huge car person). I kept having problems with one of my new tires, and they immediately inspected it every time I came back in (no charge). The services were reasonably priced, especially with coupons. I would recommend this shop. The staff feel trustworthy to me.

Got a flat tire and the store manager couldn't fit me in that same day (it was close to closing time), but managed to fit me in the next day even though they are booked almost completely full until next week!! He also offered to fill my tires with air for me, including my spare which was looking a little flat. Was helped the next day and it all went well, but a couple days later, that same tire started to make noises because the lug nuts were not tightened all the way..... friendly staff, but a bit disappointed by that..

Reservations were made to have work done. They wouldn't hold up that agreement, and it was rescheduled for another day. Car was at facility at opening time the following sechuuled day.4.5 hours later the car had not been touched.Granted repair only would take 1 to 1.5 hours.I totally understand that Everyone is understaffed at this time, however communication is important. When I am treating you with professionalism, I do expect the same. I asked if it would be finished by end of day.Don't tell me to pick the SOB and take it somewhere else. This will be the 1 and only time I have you work on anything I own.Word of mouth is Key.

I'd give them zero stars if I could. I took my car in because it was leaving bright red puddles of Dex cool. Was told I needed new heater hoses so I gave the go ahead. Fast forward 10 days after I got it back and I'm now seeing sludgie puddles that look like butterscotch pudding under my car. I took it back up there with questions. Talked to a Technician named Michelle, I think and was told that yeah, I'd need to get it flushed, probably need a new radiator, water pump and such and that the store manager wasn't there, she would talk to him when he got back and would call me. I made sure she had MY phone number and expected a call but never got one. I went somewhere else and had my cooling system flushed TWICE but now I've got mostly engine oil in my coolant reservoir. You'd be better off taking your car to the neighborhood shade tree mechanic.

I brought my vehicle in for inspection. The vehicle failed for sway bar and 3rd brake light out. They quoted me $275 to replace the sway bar and $72 to change the brake light. On a 2002 Sienna, there are literally 2 Phillip's screws that hold the housing, but they claimed it would take 30 minutes. I told them I would do it myself. I thought about it more and figured the quote for the sway bar was probably heavily inflated too, so I told them I would figure out repairs somewhere else. I picked up the van and took it to an auto store to buy a brake light. I quickly tested it, and found the "broken" brake light still working!! I took the van to another place and it passed inspection with nothing failed. I just saved $350. I will never come here again.

Had an 7 am appointments, upon arrival guy at the desk was very very extremely rude and dismissive as well as disrespectful. I witnessed him treat men with the upmost respect but me a woman he was disrespectful. He told me one thing on the phone and when I arrived it was completely different. I do not recommend the Grandview Missouri location at all especially if you are a woman!

I had a tire that needed to be replaced. I called the evening before I needed to have the service done. He gave me a 7:00 a.m. appointment. I was in and out in @ 30 minutes! The manager was very polite. I read all these comments after I made the appt. I was nervous about going, but sooo glad I did! I won't go anywhere else but this Grandview Firestone store!!!!!!!!!

I came here one other time and they told me something was wrong and not to drive it across the street. I drove it 100 more miles and took it to another mechanic who fixed it for $105 his price was $300!! We just took it in again for. $12 inspection because it was convenient and the price is set. They wanted a ton of money to fix a link!!! What they didn t know is my husband has a mechanic in Connecticut because he owns 23 trucks and that mechanic had just gone through the entire car and inspected it. (But we needed a Missouri mechanic) SO BEWARE!!! 2 times is not a coincidence!!!! It was interesting that the place was empty and they were desperate for work.Update: I drove my car 500 miles yesterday with no problems I just took it to another mechanic and the car passed state inspection with flying colors!!!

I've gone to Firestone for years for oil changes, tires and alignments due to convenience, location and I like their lifetime alignment deal. But when I schedule an appointment, I expect I'll be a priority at that time. After waiting thirty minutes and they were still not taking my car back, I decided to leave. This is not the first time for me to be unsatisfied there. I keep trying, but having no luck. When I pointed out that I make an appointment for a reason, the response was, "yeah, we're really busy today." Aren't we all? I hope I can find something more convenient. I know of a mobile mechanic. I think he does oil changes. And I used to love Discount Tires when I lived in California, so I'll give them a try again when I get new tires later this year.

Took my wife's car to Firestone in Grandview after replacing the O2 sensor and the "check engine" light did not clear. We told them that we had replaced the sensor and they may only need to clear the code. Firestone then proceeded to: charge for a diagnostic, fine. Replace the brand new O2 sensor (cleanest thing under the hood) and even cut the brand new part in half so I couldn't take it back to O'Reillys. These people are crooks. The sensor could easily be removed without cutting it. This is the last straw with this place. You'd think with the years we'd given this place business, they'd treat us a little better.

Jake was directly rude to me, because I wanted to understand why my check engine light was on when I went to pick up my car. It was not on when I brought it in. He just was like a zombie. He didn't say anything to me, except a monotone "excuse me". Then he got in my car, cleared my check engine light and went to walk off. When I started asking questions to understand, he said it was my throttle controller, so I kept asking questions. He then very rudely, with a condescending tone of voice, told me he was about to go plug his scanner in... and walked off...???????? So I asked his name, which he hesitated to even give me. Worst experience at mechanic ever. My check engine light wasn't on when I brought it in and now it is. I'm contacting a regional or corporate or whoever I have to to get resolution. I mean wow.... I'm not your problem dude, I just want to understand my car.
