What a great shop! The waiting room is clean, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and they provided great service at a great price!! Being a woman, I did not feel like they were trying to take advantage of me at all; in fact, I felt that they went above and beyond to educate and inform me with no pressure at all. I 100% recommend this shop!! I know they ve earned all my future business!

Great shop and great people. Bought a used Jeep and brought it to them to evaluate and talk through all the options and recommendations. Never felt rushed and appreciated how much time they took with us. Won t take the Jeep anywhere else!!

Brought in a wheel w/flat and new tire to change out. Got me in and out. Price is what anyone else charges. I would definitely recommend them. The shop was very clean as was the waiting area. Thanks again Hughes !

The guys here are very knowledgeable about 4x4's and other vehicles. Had great service and will be coming back for other services to my fleet of vehicles I have. I would give them a 10 if it was a option. And also if your waiting on the vehicle there go across the parking lot to hughes defense. Definitely Worth the stop in. There's definitely a benefit to being a customer at both shops.

Bought my first Jeep 2001 XJ from Hughes Off-Road and caught the jeep fever. The staff patiently answers my many automotive questions. The automotive knowledge and talent under one roof can be found at Hughes Off-Road in Grain Valley, Missouri. The staff has years of experience and will always offer an honest opinion when I ask what they think about a new/used auto purchase. It s so important to build a good relationship with your auto mechanics before you need their services. Remember, it is scary to cold call a stranger to fix electrical, plumbing, heating/AC, appliance problems when you are desperate. Hughes Off-Road is the only place my cars/truck/trailers/RV/ are serviced. They also have welding services for small jobs and do excellent exhaust installations. If you are shopping for a used vehicle, pay Hughes Off-Road to check out the car/truck. The staff will guide you as to which cars are easy to repair vs cars that are expensive problematic lemons. They are there to help you!

I've got a 05 crew cab duramax that need a bunch of front end work and they absolutely knocked it out of the park. I dropped it off in the morning and had it back the same day. Awesome crew of guys working there. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Seriously the BEST place you could take your car if you re needing work done. The staff are SO incredibly nice, friendly, & knowledgeable. LOVE this shop & will recommend it to everyone!

Went here after going to multiple places and getting priced for things i did not need. They gave me a good price for only what I needed and didn t try and add on because they want money and i m a woman who doesn t know too much about cars. They were very honest and fast and good with their work 10/10 recommend

I went here 2 times now. First time I was so happy with them bragging on them. This last time they decided to lie to me regarding everything. Have now cost me more money to fix my Jeep. First off they have a kid in there they are training which is fine. But he messed up what the part connects to didn t want to admit it. I took my Jeep back to whom normally works on it and he showed me what they did. There mistake they don t want to own up to is costing me 1500.00 now. All I wanted them to do was make it right and they refused to do so. Very ashamed they treated someone this way. I wish there was a negative star to give them.

My friend went to get o2 sensors from this place. They charged her for 4 sensors but was only giving 3 to her. They keep saying her jeep only has 3 sensors but it actually has 4 as I helped her look to figure out what they were doing charging her for 4 but only giving her 3. I went with her to figure it out and they were still saying it only had 3 but still charged her for 4. She just gave them the parts back and left. If you own a shop first of all only charge someone for what you are giving them. Second if you don t know how many sensors are on a jeep then why are you trying to work on something you don t even know where all the sensors are. Definitely won t be taking my jeep to them.

They got me right in for an oil change and just an oil change that cost $150 on my SUV. I asked if they checked all my fluids and one guy said yes and I said ok good because I was out of washer fluid. Another guy(that has been inside when I said that) came out with an old bottle (label was peeling off, no lid) of obviously water and it was just filled up because bottle was all wet. I said that s just water. (Zero color to it) he said that s all washer fluid is.I instantly thought, never coming back here! These guys think I m a stupid female! I overpaid for an oil change to be treated this way?!

Third time we've had my wife's 2012 evaluated for a battery draw issue she's had for 2+ years. Ford had it twice, for several days each and just said the draw was "within normal limits." Given that she travels for work, frequently 2+ wks at a time, that wasn't good enough.Hughes found fixed the problem in !Thanks Hughes Auto!

I have taken my jeep up there several times over the last year. They have always been very professional, extremely knowledgeable and best prices around. The Owner of Hughes Off-Road is extremely honest and trustworthy. I could not get my car started in a parking lot across from his establishment. He walked over to me and said he heard me trying to start my car.Without me asking, he went and got his Cool Red Jeep and a JumpStart machine to help me.I am a 63 year old Veteran of Special Forces and had went to Dollar General on Veteran's day to save even more money than usual.He got my car going after ~20 minutes. NEVER asked for money as I teared up telling him that I can barely pay rent and am so grateful to him!!!

My wife was transporting two shelter dogs to a new location, south of Grain Valley when she hit a curb and ruined a rim. She was 3 hours from home, called me in a panic, I needed help! I called the closest location, Hughes Off-Road & Auto Repair, to see if they could put on the spare. Gavin, the owner, answered the phone and I explained my situation. He said as soon as his technicians returned from lunch, they would be right over. My wife called and said all was well, dogs, spare tire and Gavin personally came out to change the spare. Road side service isn t their business model, but I m thankful Gavin, helped us when we were in need. And to top it off, he didn t charge her. Thanks so much!

Great service! I had to take my car to a dealer for some work that can only be done by the dealer. They told me I needed 5-6 extra things done to my car and told me it would cost over $2,000. I went to Hughes Off Road and talked with Gavin about all the things they told me was needed. Went in to get a quote on work that was recommended at another shop. Hughes was about half the price and had me done before end day. All the staff was very knowledgeable, the lobby and shop were clean, and the work was excellent. These guys know their stuff! Well versed in Jeeps and other types of vehicles-especially off road! Fair prices, and they even took care of a couple of small things they noticed on their own- without charging extra.
