Awesome guys. Put a new head on my truck and replaced the clutch. Runs excellent now and the clutch grabs instead of slipping. Only downside i asked for them to check the steering several times and even mentioned it on the envelope for when you turn in your keys. I really wish they put attention to that but i understand the work they did was pretty laborious and took a lot of knowledge. However my steering is very loose and for safety on the road id like that to be fixed. Don't get me wrong tho. Excellent guys and excellent work. Thank you.

The service was great. My vehicle was repaired faster than I thought. They explained exactly what they did and checked the vehicle for future problems. I would recommend Hight for any repair that your vehicle needs.

These guys were friendly, fast and did great work on my 95 GT. My transmission, clutch and short throw shifter have made her so much more fun to drive. Thank you.

Greg & Family are not only impressive but very reasonable and professional! Words cannot describe the honesty, quickness and reasonable prices that are were offered. Had a transmission issue and Greg and Staff had me fixed, up and running faster than any other auto shop out there. If you are needing auto service work done, please give them the opportunity to work with you!

Spoke with Greg Hight and he was able to get me in the same day. Our 2016 Traverse AC was not blowing cold air and it just needed to be charged! Any automotive need, they know their business. We will definitely be bringing our vehicles there! They are family owned and mom runs the front! You will not be disappointed!

will NOT return phone calls. i ve called multiple times and get told greg is busy and i ll get my call returned, and i never do. i needed a new motor put in car (supposedly) first quote i got was 5k and then it took them a month for me to even hear anything about it, and that s after calling multiple times with no return phone call. i only got a answer because i called and said i needed one, then they told me it was now 7k and it would be a 3 month waiting because the mechanic shop is that far behind. i also kept getting told they couldn t find a motor but i was able to find multiple. i ll never do business with them again.

So, the wheel baring went out on our truck and the steering knuckle broke because of it, on the highway no less, and we had it towed to the nearest auto shop. The mechanic that we had our truck towed to (which by the way was also the same one that so called "inspected" it just 2 weeks beforehand) told us that all these different things were wrong with it and it would be $1000 to fix it, plus they were going to use junk yard parts for some of it. First of all, when they did the "inspection" all the guy did was walk around the truck and kick a tire. He never pulled it into the garage or lifted up or took a wheel off or anything. They tried to tell us that this was done as a "courtesy". Um, no I'm pretty sure that was done because you are lazy. My husband and a co-worker witnessed it even. Everyone that we have talked to over this has told us that the wheel baring would have been caught if a proper inspection had been done. I mean, we could have flipped the truck and died! So we thought for sure that they would at least own up to their mistake and give us the diagnostic and estimate for free. No such luck. At first, they told us that it would be $45 for the estimate. Then after we got the estimate and told them that we would be towing it out of there, they told us it would be $300 for the fact that they had to take the tires off and that they wouldn't put it back together or release our truck to us without payment. That's stealing! Anyway, we went there and the guys started arguing with us about it while my husband was trying to tell them to just put the tires back on. Well, my husband is never one to back down from anything and he can have a short fuse. The mechanic keep taunting him, which I believe he was trying to get my husband to hit him so that they could press assault charges. I had to physically step in-between them and pull him away so that it wouldn't happen. They kept yelling at me at that point to "get him the hell out of there". So then, being a total girl, I started crying and saying that this was totally unfair what they were doing to us and they wouldn't even talk to me decent until I apologized for my husband's behavior (which in my opinion, I shouldn't have had to do since they instigated it). In the end they wouldn't take a check or card and we had to pay them $90 in cash for them to put the tires back on and release our truck to us. Once it was towed to our trusted mechanic in town, they quoted us $450 for all new parts and labor and everything on both sides! That is so much more reasonable I think. So the moral of the story here: DON'T EVER TAKE YOUR VEHICLES HERE! They are rude and unprofessional and will try to bleed your wallet dry for shoddy work.

Hide Automotive is a special place to me actually it is ran by my brother-in-law he is an amazing mechanic his name is Gregory Height, they do a lot more than just fix that flat tire, my brother-in-law can build a car or truck from the ground up. Prices are always reasonable

Hight Automotive recently replaced the ring and pinion gears in my four-wheel-drive and serviced both differentials. They tried to save me money by replacing only the seals and bearings and adjusted them in an attempt to remove a persistent small noise at low speed. Ultimately they had to replace the ring and pinion gears and the truck runs as quietly as it ever did. They used quality parts and their personnel were friendly and professional. During the process they kept me informed of their progress with multiple phone calls from the owner himself. He was able to save me over $1000 (compared to a dealer repair) but he still apologized that they could not adjust the noise out without replacing the gears. They have been in business there for over 30 years and I can see why. Thanks Hight Automotive!

Strangely enough all the negative reviews for the sham of a business have disappeared except for MandiK. There used to be many reviews on this site just like that one along with mine. They bully, instigate rage, and use tactics like Holding your car hostage until you pay the new inflated fee they ve come up with. They called the cops on me when I tried to pick up my car and they told me I had to pay whatever the shop was asking for or I couldn t take the car and my only recourse was to sue them later. Then they refused to take a check or card and demanded cash. They had my car for 2 months and it still was t fixed. I hobbled it over to another shop and they fixed the issue in a day for a few hundred. Stay far far away.

Great company my ac quit working on my way to St Louis on a hot day searched auto repair grain valley pulled up this company after they were closed.Talked to the owners son that was just leaving asked me if he could help and he took care of me and sent me on my way it was just a fuse didn't even charge me i wish we had this company in my home town A+ thanks .
