Need to update this since new ownership.Let me start with the good: it was fast. They called me right when my cars were done and they were able to do 2 oil changes back to back.Now the not so good. No air pressure checks were done on the tires, fluids weren't checked, washer fluid wasn't filled, maintenance light wasn't reset.Basic things that I understand are simple, but if you're going to charge $70 and $80 for oil changes, please at least do the bare minimum. I had to double check my phone number and information at check in, no questions were asked and no information about price or services were given. When checking out, they had technical issues with their computer.This is a far cry from when Sam had ownership. I'm disappointed that such a great local shop isn't being handled well.I had hoped the new owners had pride of ownership, and would know what they were doing.I guess not.

I called to have a coolant leak looked at. It worked out that my car was able to be seen same day. Ends up the water pump needed to be replaced. Sam called and explained the details of what he saw, how much it would cost, and how long it would take (best case and worst case) to fix it. I appreciated the details and the price was very reasonable. Will definitely go back!

Great shop, very clean with a great atmosphere. Super nice to talk to and very friendly. Got me in the next day and was up and running in no time. Great service at a great price. Can't speak highly enough and would definitely recommend. Sam was great at finding out and fixing the problem.

I recently had my first visit here. Sam was knowledgeable, accommodating and very fair. He ended up charging less than he quoted. And his shop is clean and nice. I was impressed.

Sam is the best! He is the most honest mechanic I have ever dealt with. Will NOT fix anything that doesn't need it. My Dad took in his truck thinking he needed a tranny rebuilt, mentioned that to Sam. That afternoon Sam called and had it fixed, did not need transmission rebuild, he found the issue and had it done! FAST * HONEST * AFFORDABLE

I moved to the Kansas City area nearly four years ago, and did not know anyone; literally, no family, friends, or acquaintances. About a year after I moved here, I had an issue with my muffler, and one of those "Jiffy Lube"-type places recommended Grain Valley Muffler to me. Grain Valley muffler was very honest and also very reasonable in price. In turn, they recommended Sam Lutrell, owner of Absolute Automotive as a general mechanic.I have been going to Absolute Automive for nearly three years, and cannot speak highly enough of Sam's honesty, integrity, and dedication to servicing cars. One of the first times I took my car to Sam, he guessed that my car would need a repair that would cost several hundred dollars. He called me back a few hours later to tell me that after some testing he found the repair would be unnecessary and no charge at all. The waiting room, and garage at Absolute Automotive are very well organized and spotless. Finally, Sam does a thorough job of servicing cars; more specifically, he never rushes through any job that takes extra time. He will call me, and let me know that he will need the car longer. That might seem annoying to have your car at the shop longer, but wouldn't you want a good job?

Sam had my car part of the day testing the cooling system after I sprung a leak somewhere. He pressurized the system and ran my car around to find out where the leak was. kept it running while turning the AC on and off. There ended up being no leak. kind of a freak deal. I asked him how much and he said nothing cuz I fixed nothing. I then asked him to find the leak in my A/C unit. He fixed it by replacing a shraider valve and shot some dye in it just in case for future leaks. Hardly charged me for that as well. I reccomend this guy highly. He is honest and trustworthy. Something hard to come buy these days.
