This place is a joke. They have not returned now a 5th voicemail I have left the finance manager in over a 6 month span . They sold me a warranty through Jim Butler, happily took my money that they can t even honor because they aren t Jeep Certified. Of course no one will return my call. I wouldn t recommend buying a vehicle from here. They are all about communicating until you purchase the vehicle, and then they ignore you. Highly unprofessional. Will never purchase a vehicle from here again.

Jim Butler s service department is AWFUL! My wife & I purchased a 2021 GMC Acadia AT4 w/11,000 miles on it from Sunset Ford on 6-24-23. On 6-28-23 the engine would not shut off by pressing the push start or even removing the key fob from the vehicle. This happened in the late afternoon/early evening. As we drove we called Sunset Ford who advised us to take it to a GM dealer as they would have more vehicle specific diagnostic tools. Jim Butler was the only GM dealer that we could make it to before they closed. Because the vehicle would not shut off the issue was urgent. Upon arrival we were checked in by Wyatt, a service advisor. We let him know that the vehicle would not shut off. Wyatt noted this & said he would inform the tech so they could do what they had to do to get it shutdown. We inquired about a rental vehicle & were told by Wyatt that he could not be sure GMC would cover a rental until they had time to check out the vehicle. Sunset then supplied us w/a free loaner vehicle (2023 Ford Explorer). I spoke w/Wyatt on 7-3. Wyatt explained to me that the tech failed to disconnect the battery like he was supposed to, so the vehicle ran until it ran out of gas. Once the vehicle ran out of gas it killed the battery to the point that they were having trouble getting it to take a charge. I opened a case w/GMC on this issue on 7-8. On 7-13 Wyatt informed us that if we needed to take the Explorer loaner back to Sunset that GMC had approved covering the cost of a rental, & he could have an Acadia available for us on 7-14. We then returned the free loaner from Sunset because we had been told by Wyatt that the rental was covered. There was no mention that there would be any chance of us having to cover the costs or we would not have returned a nicer free vehicle for a less superior vehicle at our own cost. After replacing two high dollar parts (Body Control Module & Fuse Block) that were not bad & still not being able to determine the cause an engineer was finally dispatched. The engineer showed up on 8-2. In less than a couple hours time the GMC engineer was able to diagnosis the problem that Jim Butler s service department said they spent over 20 hours trying to figure out. The cause was a wire from the previous owners dash cam (that was no longer in the vehicle) shorting on a bracket. A meeting then took place between Sunset Ford & Jim Butler which did not go well. Since the dash cam was aftermarket Jim Butler wanted to charge Sunset for all of the parts that were unnecessarily replaced as well as the exorbitant amount of time they claimed to have spent diagnosing & having us in a loaner vehicle. Sunset advised us that they caught Jim Butler in several lies during their meeting. Sunset refused to pay the bill & instructed Jim Butler to put the non-defective parts that they had replaced back on. On 8-3 we were told to return the Jim Butler rental by Sunset & they would again supply us w/a free loaner. This time it was a 2023 Ford Expedition. We did just that. Again, we never agreed to cover any rental fee associated w/a Jim Butler rental. We only agreed to take the rental from them once we were told by the service advisor, Wyatt, & then the rental agent that it would be covered by GMC. The only charges listed at the time of signing the rental contract under charges that we agreed to pay was $6 per gallon of gas if we brought it back w/less gas than it left with. On 8-8 Jim Butler, w/o authorization, charged our credit card $1020. We have since disputed the charge which is now pending. The Acadia had to be towed out of Jim Butler by Sunset Ford to be taken to a more reputable GMC dealer. Sunset has now officially terminated their working relationship w/Jim Butler over this. Sunset will no longer accept any vehicles from or send any customers to Jim Butler. I would not trust Jim Butler to diagnosis a flat tire at this point. We had to physically drive to Butler on multiple occasions to get an update since the service department would not return calls to myself or GMC customer care. Butler will lose some sales over this.Service: Electrical repair

Everything you could hope for in a service department-helpful, accurate, kept me informed about my car, easy to borrow a loaner vehicle, my car was returned clean and fully functional! When I went to pick it up, it was quick, they had my info and were ready for me, and had me out the door in just a few minutes! I would recommend driving out of your way to take your car here! Whoever put this operation together is excellent at their job!!!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic

Took my 2020 Trax 30,xxx mile car in for oil change, sludge removal, the did tire rotation, and sent me video of saying my tires, and 4 brakes were all in good shape! When I left, and was driving, I noticed a weird noise... took it back, because noise started ONLY after I left them! They looked at it and said THEY THINK ITS REAR HUBS!!! U THINK???? mind u, it's under warranty!! ,They told me, take hubs off, adjust and out back on ... I had it checked out by someone else, they told me it's my tires!!I bought my brand new car ,havnt had any issues with it until Jim Butler had it, and now I literally wanna trade it in..I can't stand the issues I've had with it, since Butler touched it, and wouldn't even help by looking at it, sent me away saying WE THINK ITS THE HUBS!!! DO THIS AND SEE IF THAT HELPS !!!!! THE NERVE!!!

I have never once had a good experience with this location. First of all, my parents purchased a car here for me in 2018. I constantly had issues with the car itself. The brakes had issues early on...ok fine. I was patient with all the recalls and issues. The visit before today s I went to get my brakes checked out it took 4 hours and I went with it. Then I was told it would take 3 days for everything to be finish. It took a bit over 7 days. I didn t get a rental because of the time it would take be fixed was told to be short and it was an inconvenience with school. I went with that again, whatever fine. Then when I went to pick it up they couldn t even find my car? I walked around the lot eventually finding it. Despite all of this I came back. Today when I checked in it took 30 minutes and I had an appointment. I sat in my car slightly annoyed. I had an appointment for just an oil change and some engine service that was recommended with 20k miles. I was told it would take 10 extra minute and that I would be willing to wait. I also was told my alignment was great which is ironic because last time I was told it wasn t and I refused it. Don t know how that was magically fixed. Anyways I wait and it ends up taking over 3 hours and 40 minutes. I check to see what s going on saying my car was ready and someone called my name. That is not true and also why didn t I get a text? I paid for all of it regretting it shortly after. I don t think I m ever coming back here again unless it s under the warranty for my car. Very unprofessional and not worth your time.

They called and make the situation right, so I am adjusting my review rating to reflect that. Thank you! Before scheduling my service appointment this time I called first to discuss using my Chevy Points. I let them know I would need service on two vehicles. They told me just to bring the voucher in and it would be applied to my balance. So when I go to pay today, I am told that my voucher can only be used for one vehicle rather than my total balance. Mind you this was a $100 voucher that I used 20,000 points on. So basically I would not get to utilize the value of the voucher on my purchase of two oil changes. (Side note this was not disclosed when I called the previous week, or when I checked in that morning and mentioned the voucher being applied.) Magically when it was time to pay it could only be applied to one vehicle. So I wasted thousands of points for no reason, and they could care less. Since I was laid off in September I was counting on being able to use the $100 to cover the majority of my balance. I just won't be coming back to buy a car here or get service here again. If you can't honor your word I'll buy my next vehicle elsewhere. (We previously purchased two brand new vehicles in the past 10 years from this location.)

Some me a car under false pretenses, knew the engine was going out. Then refused to call me back until after the warranty expired. Told me I'd have to get over not being called back. But they offered to sell me a new engine for an additional 1500 plus labor. Nice to know how y'all are treating healthcare workers during the pandemic. The salesman listed, I never met. He was on medical leave for surgery, which is why they claim no one reached out to me.Update: the vehicle needed a new motor, alternator, starter, steering column, and now it seems most likely there is a clog in the AC line. They only response I've gotten after posting this and an additional few months of unresponsive phone calls was for them to add on my review "remove this"

I purchased my 2016 corvette Z06 from this dealer an in the past have had reasonable experiences with the service department. Always routine maintenance. However, the last experience has been bad. I made an a appointment for an oil change, told them in advance that I would be waiting. Over 3-1/2 hours for an oil change! Not acceptable!!

One worker was rude. We were unaware that there are apparently supposed to have holes in our muffler to "drain" condensation. However, he spoke to us like we were ignorant and not really worth the time. We just bought the car new six weeks ago and had not bought a new car ever before. As such, we simply did not know. The worker seemed like he just wanted us to leave.

Well I brought my 2016 Trax in to be serviced. They said it would take 2 1/2 hours to do BUT it took them 50 minutes??? Well I get in it to go down to farmington, mo; the ignition hole would not let the key go all the way in finally it did. Then I drove 50 miles turned around stopped to get gas got out left the key in and tried to turn the air conditioner on and nothing worked.

It took 2.5 hours for an emissions and safety test. When my wife got in the car, it was hot, meaning it was sitting in the parking lot ready to go. Quite a bit more than the "normal" 90 minutes.

Been using there parts for years, had an 02 Pontiac grand prix gtp, so was able to find alot of stuff. Altho, when i was looking for a vacuum line, i told the guy it ran under the supercharger, he couldn't find it...but when i looked at the screen he was looking at a non supercharged engine, when he went to the right page, i found it instantly..but usually very professional guys

I bought a 2017 Jeep Cherokee that was supposed to have a warrantee with it Jeep dealer states that there was no longer a warrantee and now I cannot get service performed on my Jeep without coming completely out of pocket for it, nor can I get an answer from any management at Jim Butler!!The worst service, personnel and cars ever! I will not recommend anyone to buy there nor will I ever go to another Jim Butler dealer. If you want a car, go to another, any other dealer!!

They had my car for a bit longer than I thought. My car hesitates when I come to a stop now. And my bill shows partial repair But the staff was very friendly. When I stop at a stop sign it will hesitate like it's missing sometimes. Thank you.

Bill, the service manager, is rude. I was highly dissatisfied with my service experience, and he didn't care because the service had already been completed. There were so many issues leading up to this point, that I will not be back. I have never gotten to the point that needed to speak with a service manager, so I should have known this was an issue infecting the entire store and that I would not get anywhere.

Stay away from this location. These guys are the worst! They treat customers with bad manners. I got way better customer services and discounts from other dealers. Seems like they are not Jim "Butler" anymore.
