We had our car towed to Wayne yesterday after a breakdown out side of Ironton. The man was able to diagnose the issue with our vehicle and was kind enough to let my family (including a toddler) hang out at the shop. Even though we weren t in a position to give him business. Furthermore, he offered to let us use his wife s vehicle to get our kid out of the heat. Our family finally came and we were able to get our car hitched on a trailer, with Wayne s help, and got it back home. This man is a class act. Give him some business.

I have taken 2 radiators to Wayne in the past month. He is always super friendly and the customer service has been amazing!! A new radiator for my kubota tractor is $1000, my bill from Wayne was a small fraction of this. Will definitely be using him for all my future radiator issues.

Wayne went above and beyond replacing our radiator in our Land Rover. He took his time ensuring it was done correctly! Can't thank you enough!! Go see him for your car and truck!!

I quoted a price for a new radiator TO Wayne. He purchased one for that price and charged me only $100 dollars labor to take out the old one and replace it with the new one, the same day I brought my vehicle in to him. Thank you Wayne, you re my radiator man!

Brought the man a radiator already removed, from a forestry skidder. He said he'd have it fixed like new tomorrow. I said don't spend too much a reman is only 300. Guess what Bill was exactly 300 bucks but no new core, just boiled it out and put back together. 3 months later after it warms up , and the machine over heats dramatically. Good job Wayne! Hillbilly shade tree mechanic this one is!

Frustrating experience. I had a specific service I wanted performed and asked how much it would cost. I could not get a straight answer or even a rough estimate out of him. He got agitated when I pressed him and he just kept saying he d take care of me. He charged me almost double what I ve paid at other shops for the same service. On top of charging too much he told my wife he was losing money and he d never do this type of job again. Poor business practice. I should have walked away. I called a different local shop (after having the service done) and got an estimate for less in 2 minutes over the phone. A good shop owner knows how to do these basic things. He did complete the work we paid him for, thus the 2 stars.

My Husband and I had read a bad review for this guy but the review was so UNFAIR. So we took our radiator to Mr. Wayne and to meet him in person to judge for ourselves. Great call in my book!... And for the bad review that was on there, Well folks fact is you can't believe everything you read on the internet. We dropped off our radiator yesterday and he called and said it will be done by dinner today..The truth bout this guy is he will try to do his best for his customers.. Do not take your vehicle to this guy. I called him and told him my van had been overheating and we replaced a leaking hose, the thermostat and the gauge was still reading hot, and it had a minor pinhole leak that had already stopped by itself. Another mechanic had told me I needed a new radiator and I wanted to make sure it could not be fixed cheaper than the 120$ a new one would run from Auto Zone (my husband could put it in). Wayne said "why sure I could probly fix it less than 120, bring it in and I'll get you fixed up and back on the road." I drop it off, I call him the next day and he said I'm just starting let me call you back, never calls me. I call him 2 hrs later, "bad news, it has 7-8 leaks, it was full of stop leak, you need a new one, run you 160$." I said I had just priced them and found them between 120 and 140, what gives? "Well O'reilly said 150, and I only marked it up 10$.... Me: Don't you think labor is enough, I don't think I am gonna be paying more than 120 for a radiator. Can you put a new one in I bring to you?' him: no I cant do that. I said well put mine back in then I never told you to take it out, you never gave me an hourly rate or said anything other than "I can fix it for less than 120". I drove the van an hour to get to him with minor fluctuations in the temp. him: "I can't put that old one back in, I cleaned it out and have 3 hours labor in it." I said then you should have called me with an update or a new quote before proceeding." He says "well ma'am Icain't take no radiator out and put it back in for no 120$! You aughtta know that!" I said I certainly do not, you needed to tell me before you did it!" he says"I ain't never talked to anyone like you before, you gonna need to come get this car, I ain't working on it for you.' and hangs up on me. I called back, I said well, it isn't drivable now you said the radiator is in the front seat, and I don't know how I am going to get it. I told you I didn't have over 120$. He said well you are going to pay me or I am keeping the keys and taking the plates off it." I said "you do and I am calling the cops!" and I did. The Farmington Police were very helpful. Turns out he could fix it after all, for 75$ and 3 hours labor at 50$ an hour. So I got my van back for 250. Totally bait and switch. Hindsight and talking to others: I should have known he was baiting me. 1)He never should have told me he could fix it for less than 120 without looking at it first. 2)Should have called me before pulling the radiator with an updated quote/ballpark. 3)Should never have hung up on me and then stopped answering the phone.Seriously, tell your friends to avoid this guy.
