I worked with Frank for a few months while looking and waiting for the perfect jeep. Then this bad girl showed up on their lot. So I jumped on it. Frank has been quick to respond, friendly, understanding, and has been going above and beyond to make this as stress free and as great of a buying experience as it can be. Jake, as the owner has been involved every step of the way and has been easy to work with as well. I recommend going through these guys if you re looking for a jeep or a truck!!

My husband and I, was very pleased with the customer service we received, while buying a vehicle at McLain's! Best car buying experience, we have ever had! Jake worked hard to make our deal happen, and explained everything good. Wasn't pushy, and it just went smoothly. Everyone there is friendly! Definitely recommend, and will be back myself.

I am not a big poster but I am going to make mission to post on this company everyday throught this process. I posted a bad review awhile back but have some crazy updates on a 2015 Corvette my son purchased from them. We took it to a specialized Chevy dealer to see what really happen to the car. Not good news they got the passenger cylinder head off the car and cylinder 6 piston is broken and it ruined the cylinder wall. The misfire counter was turned off....WHY!!! The engine is 100% bad but it was bad long before we bought it. The cam update that was done caused some major issues but we wouldn't know that as the warning lights got turned off. That makes it hard to tell when it starts to have issues. We are looking at $$12k in repair to fix this car to an original spec. AGAIN if they would have told me this car was modified or just something simple as we don't know what was done but something was done....I would be much better with me purchasing knowing it, but to say nothing ?? If i knew modification were done i would have never bought it! They drove it and said no issues for us! I mean how would they know something was wrong if they turn off the warning lights??? I will definitely be looking into Potential for a fraud claim or something to that effect - maybe a claim under the Missouri Merchandising Practices Act. This is horrible business and I don't want anyone else treated like this. Doing the right thing can be hard but it's the right thing to do period! In addition throwing a warranty of 30 days is not a sufficient good customer service response. Buying a modified vehicle witg no notification while turning off warning light is not a good practice for a good business. Again very disappointing. I will continue to follow up with this.

If I could give a zero I would. Traded a 2020 Ford Fusion titanium (mint condition) and a Dodge Pick-up truck (that needed repaired before selling) for 2011 Jeep. We told the owner and sales rep the Dodge truck needed repaired before selling it to another customer. Jeep didn't even make it home before it was stuck in third gear. Took four days to repair it (we purchased the warranty on it) so no money out of pocket from the dealership. Tires were dry rotted which cost another 2k to replace. The jeep wasn't worth more than the two cars we traded in but somehow my family member wound up owing another 2500 after it was all said and done. The dodge truck was sold the very next day to a family friend (unrepaired). The truck is now broke down not even two months later and that buyer was screwed over as well. Owner financed the 2500 in house which my family is paying on. Had until March 30 to pay that off. Miscommunication between the ex-con sales rep and owner resulted in a huge disagreement on payment for the 2500. Balance is being paid off but not without public defamation and slander to family member to other potential buyers coming in to purchase cars after we thought the disagreement was resolved. True lack of professionalism, honesty and integrity. Took family members name to fb and humiliated him for coming in and making a payment. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this dealership!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! if you do buy from here pull the carfax report before you buy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What goes on behind closed doors between the dealership and the customer should be kept confidential but Jake doesn't think so. So let the truth be told once and for all.Sure didn't have a problem taking my company vehicle in on that trade. I can easily pull my sons paperwork showing the transaction and transfer of title.Apparently my company and my son isn't the only ones getting screwed. I'm sure going to reach out to the corvette owner as well. I believe he's on to something here. And last but not least, the purchaser of the dodge came that night to test drive it. You didn't put your company's plates on the truck for the customer to drive . The customer was allowed to drive with previous customers plates not yours making my insurance company liable for any and all damages if that customer would have wrecked the truck during the test drive. Consider this your validation.

Although I've never bought a vehicle from here, I have sold Jake McLain a couple back before he was a dealership owner...that was over a decade ago..he was still a active duty Marines then..me being a Navy Submariner, Diver and EOD team member back in the day we hit it off from the get go..ovw the years we always kept in touch and when it was time for him to get out of the Marines he called me asking what he needed to do to become a car dealer... I've helped in a little over the years with info and suggestions, but this guy has ALWAYS got the customers best interest at heart every day of the week. McLain Motors is a perfect model of what a used car dealership should be...if you're looking for Honesty and Integrity, two attributes that normally do not go with "Used Car Dealer" go see Jake McLain at McLain Motors ..he's doing things he right way! Keep on being great Jake!

McLain Motors is a Top Tier, Veteran owned dealer. Both husband and wife ensure staff and customers are very well taken care of. Any questions you have they will go above and beyond to answer them for you and will go out of their way to help you find the vehicle you are looking for. I definitely recommend this dealer to anyone looking to purchase a vehicle.

If you are in the market for a used car then please take the time to check out McLain Motors. Jake and his team are amazing people to work with and genuinely care about their customers and community. Not many car dealerships give back to the community like they do at McLain Motors. They are here for the community as a whole, not just to sell cars. They live and care about our community and the needs of those around them. Just recently they helped support families in need going back to school. What an amazing thing to do to give back to the community!

I am new to posting reviews but I feel I need to let people know. My son purchased his dream car from McLain Motors which is a 2015 Corvette. He loved the car and just was so excited to have it. The buying the car went great but then things started falling apart. We found out the dealership bought the car from auction. Which is fine and common but they never really looked at the car. Like gave it a good look over by their mechanic. We found out at the shop we took it to that modifications had been done and the car was at some point raced. I'm talking engine tune up, exhaust update and transmission work as well maybe nitrus run. We had no idea when we bought it! To make this story shorter the engine is bad! A new engine will run $5-10k . When I called them I just got a sorry we didnt know. I feel like the car should have been looked over more so we could know what was done and maybe decided this isn't the car for us. Now we have no car and a nice car payment for my son. Maybe nothing can be done but I just feel like I was taken advantage of and definitely not taken care of in this sale. Update: As stated this car was for my son. We have never owned a Corvette so knowing that is was modified we would have no idea as well that should be the job of the dealership to tell us thus. Im not big into cars and modifications. A simple hey this corvette has some mods would have been great! I don't know about most people but a warranty is not needed if a great car is sold. Just saying the car was abused is the wrong way to go. Disappointed to say the least with dealerships response.
