I'd gone to another shop for an oil change, and they told me two of my tires were failing (cords showing). This was surprising since I'd only gone 20k miles on 65k tires. Took my car to this Plaza as the tires had a protection plan. I made an 11:00 appointment and arrived 10 minutes early. Explaining the situation to the person at he front desk, he went to evaluate my tires. Told me they were fine. I said, I don't WANT to buy new tires, but I don't want to think ____ was lying. He offered to put it on the lift and have it checked out. Essentially, I had to convince him to look at my tires because his cursory inspection had yielded nothing obvious to him. Twenty minutes later, my car was on a lift. Eventually I'm told, yes the tires do need to be replaced, and that they would be doing the warranty on them. When the job was completed, the techs calculated the warranty discount then hit me with a bill almost equal to two brand new tires. I asked why, with only 20k elapsed, the price was so high. He said it was $60 off per tire based on the tread depth. Tires so good he was trying to convince me to keep them 90 minutes prior, and now the discount is basically what I paid to have the warranty in the first place? He took it to $75/tire off, but considering I paid for a warranty upfront, the savings don't amount to much. Don't forget: the new tires were already mounted and balanced. At no point was I told how much I was going to end up paying because they were calculating the warranty coverage AT CHECKOUT. Take the tires off. Determine the warranty. Confirm with customer. Do service or reinstall older tires so customer can find a better shop. In that order. Not do service and surprise customer with inadequate warranty relief. I declined the tire protection package, another reason my bill was so high, and I won't be returning to any Plaza Tire Service.If the tire warranty compensation is industry standard, that's a problem in and of itself. But having to push to have my tires looked at in a meaningful way and being given a surprise total at the end are bad practices.

I was pleased when I left and was planning on writing a positive review. Unfortunately I m not able to do that. When I entered my vehicle after having them service my tire, I found my drivers side carpet mat to be covered in grease from the mechanic. Then after looking at the tire, I found my 3,000 mile old rims had been scratched by the tire mounting machine, and the sidewall of the tire to be marked with white paint that I m unable to get off. It s frustrating to have a new tire with less than 3,000 miles encounter a road hazard but to see the place that I trusted my vehicle to treat it with such disrespect is angering. Thankfully I was able to get it to the carwash and degrease the mat before the stain set, but I ve tried several times to remove the paint from the tire with no luck. I haven t attempted to try to polish the wheel yet so I am unsure if the scratches will come out without being resurfaced. Not only has this experience soured me to this location, but I ll recommend to my colleagues and friends to not use Plaza Tire in the future.

These guys were amazing!! We traveled to Columbia for a shooting event for our high schooler & while heading there got a leak in our tire. These guys were recommended to us & not only were they super friendly, they fixed us up super fast too! If you re ever in need of tire repair & you re in Columbia, check these guys out! Can t thank them enough!!

On this particular visit I got an oil change in my 2000 Toyota echo. They were very informative, the price was fair and it was an overall good experience. In the past I have purchased tires on a couple of occasions. They're always very professional and do a wonderful job.

Walked in this morning to get a quote on new tires. The young man took my information and then stated he could get me this afternoon at 1:30 PM if I so chose. I arrived a few minutes before, was checked in, and only waited about an hour - as promised - and then back out the door. Great service! Great price! All involved, including the tech, were amazing! Thank you.

Plaza stood behind the new rotors they put on my daughters car that wore incorrectly and replaced at no charge and stayed until after closing time to make sure I got my car back. Chris and especially Technician Eric helped educate me on extending their life and other maintenance items to help me get the most out of this older car and keep it safe for my daughter. Appreciate them very much and will do business with them as much as possible.

First time having work done at plaza tire. Set up appointment a week ago, to get new tires, oil change and rear differential service. When I got there they didn't have the right tires that Iwanted so had to get different ones. I had an 11 am appointment, and when I showed up there at 4:30 because I knew they were closing. He said they didn't get the deferential service done.I'm disappointed with your service. Haven't decided if I will return there for service again.The manager called me the following Monday and apologized about not getting the rear differential service done. He made it right. I will definitely start using them from now on.

Sharon was extremely unprofessional and rude,with absolutely no customer service skills. Facial expressions by Sharon didn't help the situation. Would highly recommend finding her something else to do so you don't lose all your customers.

Great!!! Just got the car back with the new tires and alignment... Ohhhh man... It's like a whole different car. Yokohama, there is no substitute. Dealt with Chris and Larry... Great guys. Answered all my silly questions. This is where you want to go. EDIT: had a slow leak all of a sudden after checking the psi myself. Took over to PT and shout out to Rodney... He hooked me up, fixed the valve stem and filled all the tires to their factory psi... NO CHARGE. thank you all at PT... That's the other thing, I showed up 15 mins before closing and they welcomed me in. Thank you, as I am driving from Columbia to Philadelphia this week.

I previously took my truck to Big o tires for an alignment and was told it would be $87, an hour later I get a call saying they need to replace the ball joints and it s now gonna be $1500 and they couldn t do the alignment without replacing the ball joints. I may not be an expert on cars but I know enough to understand that if I needed new ball joints my truck would wobble when driving, which it doesn t. They saw a college-aged girl and tried to rip me off. Anyway, plaza tire service did the alignment without making up a bunch of additional repairs and trying to rob me. I would highly recommend if you need an honest place to get work done.

Plaza Tire Service on Smiley Ln. is the best! I went in to see if I could have the nail in my tire removed and patched, and unfortunately, since it was too close to the sidewall, it could not be done! The guys put my donut on until I can afford to pay for a new tire and made sure I knew that it wasn t safe to go above 30 MPH on the donut! Then didn t charge me a dime! That s one hell of a way to make a customer for life! Thank you all so much! You took some disappointment and made it tolerable! Not to mention, they got me in and out really quickly, even though they were pretty busy!

Came to get a second opinion on some repairs that were needed. I felt extremely reassured and welcomed by the staff as well as informed on what was going on with my vehicle. Shouting out tomanager Chris and company. Outstanding in understanding and staying calm when this Ole lady had deer in head light look and almost tantrum for the work I had caused to be done. You all deserve the geriatric understanding award for 2023! Work was done efficiently and gave me my wheels on the road again. You all are my go to besties! The staff was great! They were friendly, after my first initial visit spending almost 1300 $ I have to change from 5 stars to 0 stars. Shortly after my first visit I realized they did not attach my fender well back completely. The customer service was horrible from this point on. They could not contact to tell me my part had come in. I had to call them multiple times, and when I finally got in 2 months later to get the fender well replace within 15 min of leaving the front cover on the car was hanging and dragging now it is destroyed. I will never take my my car to plaza tire again. There customer service is the worst I have dealt with in my life.

Went in for flat repair, ended up with 4 new tires and an alignment. Sharon and Chris did an excellent job evaluating the status of my car and made the correct recommendation to replace all of the tires. I highly recommend Plaza Tire on Smiley Lane. Very courteous, professional and knowledgeable staff.

This is a good shop. They have helped me in the past with patching holes in my tires that allowed them to last for another entire season. I had a negative experience with them recently which I have left unedited below. However, they have since made it right. I was overcharged for a battery replacement and when I went to another shop, they told me correctly that my alternator was actually the problem and fixed it. Plaza Tire has since made it right by calling me and refunding my money since it didn't actually fix the problem. I really value their integrity and desire to make things right. I will be returning for tires in the future.THIS IS THE ORIGINAL REVIEW, IT NO LONGER REFLECTS MY OPINION OF PLAZA TIREThey're okay for tires, but avoid them for literally anything else. I have had good service in the past with tires, but I went there last weekend when my car wouldn't start. They assured me it was the battery, put in a new one and sent me on my way. I am now sitting on the side of the road two days later with the same type of breakdown. They charged me $500 for not actually fixing my issue.

They forgot to put my oil cap on and my car leaked most of the oil out before I got home (40mile drive). I called they paid to have it towed to them. Said they would deliver it back that night it ended up being late the next afternoon. To make it right they said would give me a free oil change, tires at cost and no cost to fix the scuff on one rim. Took it back for my free oil change and tires, mind you I have a Toyota Corolla, I was quoted $586 total cost $716! I WILL NOT BE BACK

Chis and his crew was professional they worked hard to get my daughters car back on the road. I knew exactly what was going on with it at all times and what it would cost and what time frame I would be looking at to have the car back. I could only afford one tire, and yes I have wire showing on two, but I needed to wait until next week to be able to pay for the other tire so I asked for just the one and they denied me service cause I couldn t afford to put tires all the way around my truck at the moment. I really needed to start putting tires on my truck and was denied services by this place. I ve never had this happen before.
