Dobbs told me I needed 2 new tires. Told them to order them, then got a 2nd opinion. Glad I did. McKnight save me some big money, and rotated my tires for free. Dobbs lost my business, McKnight has earned it!

Been going here for 4+ years.Great customer service & HONEST mechanics ( esp. Zach)-- their prices are just as high as most mechanics in CoMo, but to actually get what you pay for & not get swindled, is well worth the extra $.

I thought I needed brakes and was fully expecting to pay for that. but the hardware had just loosened and all it needed was to be tightened. they could have taken advantage of me but called me and said brakes are fine and there was no charge for tightening the hardware! I JUST LOVE THESE GUYS! their honesty is beyond wonderful!

Highly recommend! My family was heading out of town for our summer vacation when I drove over a nail and popped my tire how about 16 hours before we were supposed to leave. I called around town and McKnight agreed to get me in first thing the next morning and had us still out of town on vacation by noon! They are the best!!!

Thank you Matt! We had a tire issue on our way through the area. Fortunately our tow driver referred us directly to McKnight Tire, he knew they'd take care of us and have the ability for what we needed. (We had called a handful of other tire shops, none wanting to assist with our slightly less than standard need) We really appreciated the experience and professionalism of Matt, thank you so much!

I didn t even walk through the door of this place. All I did was talk on the phone with a guy who works here prior to bringing my car in. All it needed was a new tire. Going off the glowing reviews both on here and word of mouth, I reached out, and was immediately given a condescending attitude from the man I was describing my car and tire size to. I greeted this person perfectly normal, and no matter what I said, he responded in a really weird tone of voice and manner that was so patronizing, I was actually shocked that this attitude was all over a tire. I guess I was the exception to their quality customer service. I hung up and just went to Big O. Had great customer service and got my tire replaced in an hour, for stupid cheap. Very glad I didn t give this place my business.

I have been going here for years. Recently, I became very dissatisfied with the service and work. I had my fuel filter fixed for just under $900 in October because pressure was building in the gas tank and blowing off the gas cap. Then, in April, I, when it continued to have problems, I spent another $1500.00 on my 14 year old jeep. Then they said they needed to replace the entire fuel system, and it would be another $1500. They also said $1500 for brakes. I had new brakes and rotors put on 9 months ago. Then they told me to pay in advance after waiting a month for the part that would arrive mid-May. I have yet to get a call. I took my jeep in to the dealership, and they fixed it for $109.04 total. The brakes were tampered with, and they fixed that for free. $3000. Or $109.04. I would rather pay the $109.04.

we wanted to have the air pressure checked in our mobile home. todd noticed that one of the tires was under-inflated. this was then removed, the screw removed and the leak repaired. todd and kevin worked efficiently and with good quality. the price was also very fair. The man at reception was also very friendly and organized everything immediately. many thanks to mc knight

Had a slow leak on my Honda Crosstour. I had purchased my tires from the Honda dealer in Columbia. They include roadside hazard with purchase of tire at Honda. When I called to get my car in at Honda, I was told that I would have to make an appointment for the next day.Bottom line, I called McKnight, they got me in right away, and had my tire fixed quickly!!!They have a customer for life.Thank you all so very much.Tracy Reeves.

I am really happy with Matt and his team!!! I was trying to call the Ford dealership to help me with my Ford Flex and I couldn t even get a call back. Tried another dealership and they couldn t see us for almost two weeks, so they recommended McKnight Tire. And thank goodness for that!! Matt got us in the same day that I called (Monday) and our car was ready to be picked up on Thursday evening! He was fast and efficient. Our Flex had a ton of corrosion on the positive battery terminal and he replaced (if I remember correctly) the circuit breaker or something with a similar name haha. Now, our car is working just fine again! He was very nice and on the ball the whole time, called me with a quote asap, and kept me updated. He originally quoted me a higher price but when he found out he could do it for far less, he did just that and we were so shocked and grateful for that. He could have taken advantage of us and had us pay the price he originally gave but instead he was honest and excited for us. I highly recommend McKnight Tire and I ll be going back to them whenever I need additional work done!

Dropped my car off Saturday morning for a Tuesday morning first thing appointment because I was having a number of things done and wanted to give them extra time. I called and checked Monday to see if everything was still on track for Tuesday morning and to make sure that it would still be done by noon on Tuesday and they assured me that it would. Tuesday at 9 AM I received a call telling me what it needed and that it would take an additional hour and a half. I called again at 2 PM to check the status and see when I could pick it up and was told just give us another hour and a half. I said OK I will plan to be there at 3:30. I arrived at 4 PM and was told it s really close it ll be just a few minutes however it proceeded to take until 440 to get my vehicle back. I understand that things happen and sometimes take longer than expected, but if you can t give people a realistic timeline so that they can manage other areas of their life like picking up their children and work/meetings then you shouldn t give a completion time.

They are always super friendly and fast. The guys are very knowledgeable about their stuff. I have gotten my van personally worked on/ and checked here on three different occasions and have began to build s good report with the gentlemen working the front counter. McKnight tire has made time(even last minute) to check out my tires, give a fair estimate, and even worked with me financially once to help me keep the total cost within my budget. This is definitely my go to here in Columbia!

We cannot say enough about Matt and the staff at McKnights we are from out of town.. had a blow out on the highway.. our good fortune connected us with Matt at McKnights..We were treated so well there.. they had us back on the road with new tires and a smile within 2.5 hours Matt emphasized that we were on a cross country trip and did everything in his power to get us going as soon as possible.. Highly recommend them!!Thanks again Matt and staff for everything

They forgot or didn t write down my first appointment. They checked my car out and said what was wrong with it. I called back for a cost estimate so I could prepare accordingly. They told me they couldn t give me a cost estimate until they looked at my car. I told them they did look at my car and they still wouldn t give me a cost estimate, which seemed suspicious to me. Cancelled my appointment and went somewhere else. Really disappointing because my boss recommended this shop and it ended up being a waste of time.

My husband and I are traveling across country in our short bus. Last week, we started hearing a concerning noise under the bus. After we called McKnight, they had someone do a safety inspection that day. Turns out our brake noise was actually a driveshaft issue. Thank goodness the inspecting mechanic was thorough.We got back in the shop within a couple days for repair. Their mechanic, Adam, did a fantastic job. My whole world is in the bus right now (including my cats).He checked over other driveshaft parts, replaced the seized bearing, and test drove our bus for 20-30 minutes after.Matt treated our time and money like his own. Adam treated our bus like his own. A week later, I'm still thinking about this experience. If I'm ever in Missouri again, I know who to call.

They greeted me when I came in the door. They provided an estimate for how long it would take them to inspect my vehicle, and it was done within that time. They even aired up a tire that was going flat without mentioning it or the fact that my car was a message (on the inside). I'm always suspicious of mechanics, I've been taken advantage of by a couple of local shops in Columbia. I didn't have any real work done here, but I'd be willing to give them a chance when the need arises. They seem like good people.

Went in to get some tires put on my car. Arrived in the morning, they took me to work with their shuttle service. They were courteous, fast, and great to work with! I would happily purchase more from them! Ron at the front desk was excellent and conveyed every problem in an easy way so I fully understood what needed to be done! They suggested I get my oil changed and make them the one stop shop, and I will definitely be taking them up on that offer!

Hey all if you are in need of some tire work in the Columbia area then check out McKnight Tire and Auto. A family owned business that understands customer service and are willing to help out. Our church bus (with 24 kids on it) had a flat tire and we had a spare but no one else (PLAZA TIRE) would help. Matt and the crew stepped up and did the work plus we were in and out in 10 minutes. Amazing people.

I have been taking my truck to McKnight for almost a quarter-century. It's been quite simple: something is wrong, they find and fix it, and it costs less than I am expecting. Also, I am not one who is automotive-intelligent, and I've not been deceived and often been enlightened by the McKnight team. Finally, the staff is exceptionally welcoming, efficient, and helpful; Ron, whom I consider the face of McKnight, seems to have been there as long as I've been dropping my vehicle off there, and always makes sure I know what I need to know and have what I need to have. I'm happy to have relied on this family-owned business, and I recommend it to anyone, especially those looking for a long-term shop.

I went into McKnight today for a front-end alignment. They told me I'd need a new ball joint before they could do an alignment, so like an idiot, I took them for their word. I'm more leery of mechanics than anyone else in the world, but they really scared me; I was told stone-faced that my wheel was about to fall off. Come to find out after looking at an old receipt, that's the exact same repair I got 2 or 3 weeks ago from my trusted mechanic of years. Yes I should've known better and have beat myself up for the stupid mistake, but I wanted to send out this warning to anyone else who doesn't know much about cars and is therefore a target for the liars at McKnight. They WILL take you for all you're worth. It's also worth noting that the woman who drove me to and from work told me a story in the car about how the "mechanics" at McKnight worked on her car only for it to come out making a really loud sound. She was told "everything is tight - it just makes a noise. It's not a problem." Wow. She even works there and they treated her like an idiot. I definitely won't be taking my car back. In the meantime, excuse me while I go lick the wounds that unnecessarily cost me hundreds of dollars .

Jacob was professional and helpful in getting us back on track for vacation. We were only 5 hours into a 22 hour drive when a tire went bad. They were very busy and late in the day but worked us in to get a tire mounted. Two other employees were also polite and helpful.Thank you, Rich
