I would first like to thank Matt the manager for taking the time to listen to me and for taking action and for call me back like he said he would. The work done on the car was great work. Now here is the reason I am writing this review. I had to go to contact the manager to get an update and to get my daughter's car done. My daughter took her vehicle to Joe Machens East Body shop to repair her car because it was basically vandalized. The guy she was dealing with from the start John C., was nice. She was told it would take 3 days and would be updated during the process. Now keep in mind she has never dealt with this kind of situation before. Day three comes around and no update. Daughter messages me, her father. I encouraged her to contact John C., and she did and left a message asking for a return call with an update....Day four no update. I tell her to call again. She calls two more times and leaves two more messages. No response/update. She messages me again to let me know what she is dealing with. Me as her father steps in and I get all the information and start calling. The first time I called whomever was at the front desk answering the phone was rude. This person looked up the information and transferred me to a voice-mail without telling me anything. I leave a voice-message for John C. I call back and ask to speak to John C and was told he was on the phone. I say to the front desk person, "I'll hold". Not even a minute on hold and John C picks up. I explain everything to him and he tells me that he needs to speak to the tech because the notes are not clear. He asks if he can call me back after speaking with the tech I say of course. John C., hangs up without getting my contact information. I waited four hours before I called back. When I called back the guy at the front desk tells me John C was with a customer. I asked if he would take a message and he stated yes and took my name and number and just hung up without me referencing anything. I called back and ask to speak with a manager. Matt the manager got all of my information and called me back in a timely manner and gave me an update. Being hung up on and not being called back is not customer service.

Joe Machen East Collision Center has provided me with the highest quality service regarding my 2021 Honda Civic.The first time someone had hit my car and broken off the side view mirror. The second accident was more serious with damage to the drivers side quarter panel and rear bumper and taillight. Also there as some additional damage once the quarter panel was removed.About a week after I got the car back I noticed some scratches on the inside drivers side door. Being the hot head I am I want back and demanded to see someone. Joel Swartz who I had worked with me was out for lunch. Matt Weldon the Manager came out and went over the damage. He said was unsure how they could have caused the damage but that he wanted a happy customer and they would take care of it.After thinking to over it became clear to me that they did not cause that damage. A few days latter when I came in for the repair, I apologized and offered to pay. Joel told this to Matt and while they accepted my apology refused to allow me to pay. In addition, Joel did some touch up work on my front bummer and again refused to charge me.The did an excellent job on all of the work. For that alone they deserve 5 stars. Given my behavior as a "difficult" customer I would give them 10 stars.

Lied to me about repairs done and took forever to finish. Got so bad I had to escalate to higher management. BTW, higher management was snotty. About 3 months, blemishes, grimy hand prints on the interior. That was my 1st inspection after the manager told me he personally checked it out. Untrustworthy.

Matt and the entire team at Joe Machens East are so professional, reliable, and easy to work with! They had my car for almost 2 weeks on a repair, that I thought was shorter, and was always happy, able, and willing to give an update on progress. Upon pickup I noticed imperfections on a differnt part of the car that had previously been there but wasnt noticed until pickup. The team was fast to respond, assess, and make a repair. They were professional and respectful about letting me know the scratches were there before the initial drop off and wouldnt take any compensation for it.

Do to an automobile accident, they had my vehicle repaired, new parts, painted in a timely manner. And I was not expecting it but they also washed my truck for me and wiped and clean the inside out for me as well, and they even put the spare tire back under my pickup truck for me. And they deal with the insurance company also. And the ladies at the front desk they are awesome they have great customer service skillsService: Body & Trim

Do not waste your time with this business. Took my SUV in for an estimate and I never got an invoice for the repair. I called this establishment 4 times and I was told that they put my claim at the top of the list and get to it the next day. Each phone call I made I was told different stories. They never followed up with me so I went across town to a more respectful company Collision Center of Columbia. That s where I would take my cars in the future. Highly recommend. Joe Machens collision center doesn t care about customer service trust me.

The crew did an excellent job matching the color, painting, and fading it into existing paint. They fixed two minor dents in the side panels, vacuumed the interior, and buffed the car. It looks and feels like like a brand new vehicle!Service: PaintingService: Painting

Yesterday I was driving from St. Louis to Columbia to move some furniture into my new house and the metal on the bottom of my car came off and I found it scraping against the highway as i was driving. After making it to Columbia I knew I needed to find an Auto repair shop fast because I had to make a trip back to St. Louis the next day. Every place I called wouldn t bat an eye at my situation. I called about 7 auto repair shops before I called Joe s. It seemed as if every place was booked for the next month and I needed a quick fix by tomorrow which seemed impossible. It seemed as if every auto repair shop I called it was me trying to meet their needs and Joe s was the first and only place to try to meet my needs. I took my car in and the friendly staff treated my situation and accommodated my urgent situation in no time which really helped me out. Joel took care of my car and he was super helpful. He made sure that my car was fixed and ready to go in no time. From now on I m going to Joe Machens collision center for all of my auto repair needs. Took a very long time to get our vehicle back; seems like they kept forgetting about us. When we finally got the vehicle back, the inside was covered in smears and residue from a very poor detailing job. We've now discovered that our blend door actuator is damaged because of the vent cleaning, however ServPro was the one to screw that up. Our hundreds of dollars in rental costs due to delays, and hundreds more to get the actuator replaced.

I am so happy that my Honda dealership recommended Joe Machens East Collision for repairs. The staff kept me updated the entire time my car was being repaired and the Customer service was remarkable (everyone was very kind)! When picking up my car, I asked Matt whether they did buffing because I was considering taking my car there again for those services. I told him that some other places in Columbia were going to charge me an outrageous cost for the work (which was very minor). Matt did the buffing for me FOR FREE. This made my day and put a huge smile on my face. I would recommend this place to anyone in Columbia! Sad I can only give 5 stars because I would rate higher if I could.

I had a fantastic experience with Matt and his crew at Machens Collision Center. My car was being repaired after an accident. Matt worked with the other driver s insurance company and was persistent in communicating with them in order to provide the best possible outcome. I was in a car accident that left the front driver's side of my car deeply scratched up, my bumper damaged, and the hubcap warped. The team (I dealt most with Joel) was extremely professional, timely, and responsible. They also handled everything with the other person's insurance and made it unbelievably easy for me to get the repairs needed. I just got my car back yesterday and it looks incredible. There is zero evidence of it being repaired; the quality is truly amazing. Highly recommend.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Great customer service by Travis, Ryan, and Barbara! My passenger side window was busted out by some thieves. They were able to get a replacement window and repair it by the next day. A huge relief because there was a snow storm coming. They also completely cleaned out all of the broken glass that was inside the car for me. I was able to call and pay with credit card over the phone so that my fianc� could pick up the keys while I was at work. They were polite, friendly, and efficient. I highly recommend!

They were very easy to work with and very nice. Someone backed into my car which put a hole through and totally bent my license plate. I took it to Joe Machens East Collision Center and not only did they fix my damaged bumper, but they even hammered my license plate back to flat and it looks good which is something I consider to be above and beyond what is required/expected. I really appreciate this because it saves me a trip and some money on a replacement plate which I really didn't want to have to deal with. They also cleaned my car up nicely inside and out. My car looks better now than it did before it got hit. Would absolutely recommend to anyone.

I was in a collision and my insurance told me to take my car to Machens. They were seemingly professional and expedient and had an estimate ready the same business day. The gave me a first available date for repair- already 2 weeks away. When I called the day before to confirm they had no recollection of giving me the first date and then pushed my repair back over a week. (Good thing I love driving around not being able to open my back door for almost 3 weeks ). I dropped my car off for what they told me was a 3 day repair- 5 days later not a single word. I called and was told "Oh no- this wasn't a 3 day repair! It will be ready next Friday" (9 days). Mind you, I had rental coverage but thinking it was a 3 day repair I decided to avoid the hastle and make due for 3 days. 9 days in still no car or communication from them, so I called and after waiting on hold for a lengthy amount of time, I was told it would be early next week. It's now "early next week" and still absolutely no communication and no car. Terrible communication, terrible service. I'll be talking to my insurance about why this is their choice of shop for repairs.

Worst Customer Satisfaction & they don't care. When I picked up my car, it had a tremendous leak in the roof after the fix of another part. The leak happened to be something they had fixed in previous years which was now once again broken and leaking. They refused to honor or guarantee that previous work. My husband unfortunately experienced the same thing with a different car, a year earlier. To make matters worse the consultant I was given was one of the rudest individuals I've ever experienced. They never followed up even knowing that an issue was not completed. I've never had a car repair location not stand by their work especially one associated with such a multimillion-dollar business

This is the best collision repair center. Joel took care of my car, and went above and beyond. Not only did he repair my car, but he even checked my oil, topped my coolant, and checked my tires. My car and a deer collided and both lost. Machens took care of from start to finish. They walked me through the process and provided high quality customer service and communication. Matt, the location manager, was truly fantastic!

I couldn't be less impressed with Machens Collision Center. My husband an I got rear ended and were at the mercy of where the insurance company made us go to get our bumper repaired, which unfortunately was at Machens. They called us on a Thursday to tell us our SUV was finished.The paint job was lazy: dirt underneath portions of the paint, a spot that wasn't even sanded down flush with the rest of the edge of the bumper, obvious imperfections that anyone could see if they cared to. When we politely asked a man, Mike, who worked there if they could fix it, he couldn't' have been more annoyed at us. He even said to us "Well I thought the paint job looked great".Three days later (today) we went back to pick it up. The paint still looks less than satisfactory, but we're tired of messing with them. When I got in the car to drive away, there were white fingerprints all over the interior, like they'd driven our car right after they'd finished painting without even bothering to wash their paint stained hands, or to wipe off the car's interior when the obvious white fingerprints were on our black interior. They have no respect for your property at this company, and they don't necessarily care if you'r satisfied with what they've done to YOUR car. We will never use Joe Machens Collision again, and wouldn't recommend them to anyone else.

I felt the service side (people answering phones/dealing with customers) was good. That's who got the star. But as far as technician side goes..... -12.. warned prior to bringing my car in that I was not a mechanic but am mechanically inclined. I know there are processes to follow. They replaced my exhaust and left a huge sticky label on it, A big hole under the passenger side floorboard, replaced my bumper cover but the bumper underneath was still chewed up, and the paint texture didn't match the hood. Not to mention a new sound that wasn't even a factor prior to bringing in. This place should be sued and shut down for what they pull over on people. All the 98% of the damage done to my car was on the underside. Meaning the only way you would see it is if the car we're on a lift. They had my car for 3 weeks and excepted my $2000 knowing dam well there was still damage that should've been fixed

The team at Joe Machens Collison Center East off Vandiver in Columbia MO is highly exceptionally qualified. The front counter employees are so kind and considerate. John and Jameson go steps way beyond the call of duty. In my recent visits to this location is a time I won't soon forget. John and Jameson made my "giving up my car" after a severe hit a lot easier. Their kind and caring way along with their "listening ears" helped me beyond words. I want to thank management and top management for having such people on their staff. I'm sure the rest of the employees are the "same cut of the cloth" as John and Jameson. I thank you management and I especially thank the "front desk crew" John and Jameson. Car took much longer than what I was told, I was never updated on when the car would be done and had to call them myself multiple times to receive an update. When the car was finally done and I was told to come pick it up, the car was NOT actually finished despite being told it would be 'inspected' before they called me. The door was still faulty and it was clear it was not checked prior to me picking it up. The parts used were cheap quality and on top of that, there were white prints all over the door and on the inside of the car. Would NOT recommend this place for anything.

I walked in with a vague idea of what I wanted without the desire to deal with pushy salesman and that was exactly what I got. Kyle Johnson worked with me on finding the car and pricerange I wanted while not only treating me as a valued customer but also as he would want to be treated as a customer. The whole staff was very friendly and always greated and made sure to say their goodbyes when I left. Excellent service all around!

This shop is a joke. They had my car for over three months to fix some hail damage and every week they've told me the car will be ready the next week. All they do is lie and make excuses. The work was adequate at best, and there's no pride in serving the customer - they tried to give me my car back with over spray on the brand new carbon fiber hood and paint on the trim pieces, and dust/dirt all over it. I can't believe this is the shop my insurance suggested; I will never be using them again. Don't make the mistake I did - find another shop.

Taking our car to this place was a mistake. They totally took advantage and lied to my college age son. First they told him they would get to it the beginning of the next week. Three weeks later he went to pick it up when they called him at 5 pm on a Friday. When he arrives at 5:15, they told him the price, which was over $1100 more than the original estimate. That s a lot of money for a college student. Lucky for my son, he has parents that have credit cards and could take care of it. However, this makes me mad to think they take advantage of college students. Some college students would have shown up on a Friday at 5:15 and not have been able to get their vehicle because it was $1100 more than the original estimate. My son had no idea it was going to cost that much more than the estimate. The place closes at 5:30. So, if he couldn t have came up with the money, He would not have got his vehicle until after the weekend. We will never be back.

Had work done on our 2012 Fiat after an accident. Over $3000 worth of work and a month in the shop. They replaced the headlight but did not replace the wiring harness (all one piece), so the headlight shorted out, so back in for repair. Then we find out (6 months later) that they left the torque strut loose, which damaged the transmission, so back in again....this time for a brand new transmission. They have paid for both repairs, but it would have been really nice if the work had been done right in the first place.
