Have taken my car there several times (unfortunately for me) and every time have had a great experience! They're friendly, honest, and always tell me everything I need to know. Have helped me through a few engine lights and wiring issues. They also give me heads-up on issues they noticed, don't pressure to have it fixed then and there, and so far haven't made up any of those issues! I trust these mechanics and am glad to hear they were busy enough to open up a second location.Made the mistake of taking my car somewhere else twice (not because I wanted to) and had only pure frustration with anywhere else, not to mention it always being way too overpriced.

The price was fair (cheaper than 3 nearby) for the work and timelines were ahead of schedule.The only reason I gave them 3 stars instead of 5 stars was because I ended up having to tow the car back to their location because they forgot to tighten something. I also had to rent a car which cost about $300 because I needed to be out of town for work because my vehicle couldn't be seen in time.At least they were honest about it and didn't try to charge more like some other mechanic shops would.

I was made aware of this shop by a close friend who used to be a mechanic for low cost and effective auto repair, so in February of this year I took it for a relatively easy fix of a coolant repair.Come to find six months after my car still had the same issues and the repair was done with a faulty part, when I expressed my disappointment the front desk claimed that they had no power over the quality of the manufactured products but at the price of $600 plus tax I would hope that it would last at least a year.After my complain they agreed to redo my car issues for free which i accepted, and less than two months I had the same issue in which they now claimed involved different parts affecting the same area. When I originally brought my car I told them to fix any issues of a coolant leak and either due to mismanagement or carelessness they ignored other parts.This last fix in December the mechanic managed to damage one of my cords and quoted me an extra price of $300+ for the fix, when I expressed my disappointment he claimed that this is common especially with GM cars; I had told him that I had taken my car to big Os for several years and never encountered an issue where they damaged my car part while looking to fix another part. All in all this is the worst experience I ve ever had for auto repair, their mechanics are either inept or mismanaged/over worked. If I could do it over again I d pay a premium to make sure my car doesn t go through the same issues.

They did a good job on the fix and gave us options on how to fix it, but they changed ALL of the driver s seat preferences (not just the distance from the steering wheel, but height of seat and even lumbar support) and smoked in my car. Who smokes in someone else s car? It REEKS of cigarette smoke now.

They are RUDE and very unprofessional I took my truck there do to it not going into gear They fixed the problem I thought it started happening again I was charged and payed called to tell them the problem was happening again. They couldn t find my invoice so the mechanic that worked on my truck stole my money and refused for me to have my truck towed there to check out the problem that they had supposedly fixed and I paid for. I m woman in the world and making a living is way to hard to be scammed out of money that I work so hard for Service: Transmission

Helpful. Courteous. Prompt. Available. They explain what is being done and listen to me explain in layman's terms what is going on. They feel trustworthy. I believe that they will help me (and my spouse) maintain our older vehicles. Definitely will recommend to family and friends.

Service wasn t pleasant They will rip you off. They Do work on your vehicle's and not be certified on the work they doing. and then will try to make you think you stupid! Disappointing the owner Phil just doing anything for a dollar these days!!

I had a great experience with this crew and will continue bringing my car here. I brought my car into them, needing quite a bit of work, and the mechanic Dakota called me with honest, informative updates every step of the way. The price was competitive & very reasonable for the amount of work done. Not to mention, incredibly satisfied with the work that was done - feels like driving a completely different car!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Taking cars there for years. Always seemed fair. Took my sons 2003 honda to FIX a/c. 1200 plus dollars . Replaced serpentine belt I didn't request. Paid happily anyway. Worked less than a month, took it back. Phil told me when I dropped it off it was warranty. Late in day , Andy called , said it was another 300 dollars, and was a jerk about it. Said basically they aren't responsible for the system I paid 1200 plus to fix. I looked up compresser they changed out at Oriellys, 192 bucks

I've been taking my cars to A-Z since 2010. My cars are always well taken care of quickly and for a reasonable price. The owner and mechanics are HONEST and I don't ever feel taken advantage of like I have felt at other auto shops. If I request a service and the mechanic feels that it isn't necessary, they will let me know. Always willing to discuss potential repair needs with me thoroughly, making sure that I am aware of cost options/repair time before work begins. I haven't had a single letdown with A-Z yet. I hope to return for many years to come.

First time using a to z. I chose them based upon reviews and a quote that was less than competitors and the dealership. They completed the work just over the quote and in a decent time frame. I would use them again

My sons car wouldn t start and I had recently replaced the battery. We got it started by AAA and drove it to A-Z, after AAA recommended them. I left it overnight and called this morning to notify them of the issue. I even told them that thr AAA rep had said the alternator wasn t charging correctly.They called back a couple of hours later. I was told the battery was fine and that the alternator was working fine as well. They told me that they had let the car run for a while to see if the heat from the motor would affect the alternator.When I offered to pay them for their time, they told me no charge.They could have very easily replaced the alternator and charged me for it. Instead, they made sure that everything was working fine. Top it all off, they did not charge me for it.This is truly a business you can trust! They didn t take advantage of me and didn t even charge me a $.01 for their time. They have definitely earned my respect and will definitely use them for all of my automotive needs! I called on a Friday about getting my car looked at as it s been screeching for days they had an opening that following Monday (today) at 11am. Dropped my car off at 730 because i had to be at work early and couldn t leave to come back at scheduled appointment time.By 845 they had called to tell me what was wrong with it and gave me a quote of how much it would be to fix. by 1150 they were done! So quick and efficient this was my first time using this shop and they will be my go to from now on! Awesome customer service and very reasonable prices! Thanks guys!Service: Brakes

I took my car in yesterday when the check engine light came on. I told them it needs new plugs and wires sure enough that's what it was. Steve told me $640, that seemed outrageous but I needed the car fixed. I go pick it up today and the bill was $712.78! Steve said he never said $640 oh but he did! The worst part is my car isn't even driving right! Absolutely do not go here! When I looked these parts up they cost next to nothing. Somebody please help me make sense of this.

I could go into detail about how I found these guys to be honest, responsive, competitively price and very good, insightful mechanics but I will cut to the chase and say to all those out-of-town parents (like me) with students here, save yourself a lot of hassle and unnecessary expense and have Phil and his great crew take care of you son or daughter s car. Phil is a good dude as is Tim my mechanic who had intimate knowledge of my daughters 2010 Honda Accord. In an industry not exactly known for integrity, this is THE go-to option in Columbia. They didn t ask me to write this review( they don t need it with so many rightfully satisfied customers)but I felt compelled to do so after having had several good experiences with them. This shop is the best in town. They found out what was wrong quick, called me with a price that fit my budget. There was not too many people in line so, they were able to fix my SUV by next day. They were super nice & honest (integrity is hard to find these days.) One place wanted double what I was charged here. This will be my Auto shop for now on. It is behind Taxi Terry's on Fay St.

Very busy, but with appointment got in promptly. Waiting room is comfortable, with coffee, water and restrooms. Handicapped accessible however no specific parking is available. Price is very reasonable, I had some electrical work done to pass inspection.

A to Z auto are amazing. I had an engine issue that the dealership said we needed a new engine for 9000.00, I know that was b.s. so I found A to Z from my Uber driver went there, no new engine, engine had to be cleaned out and flushed but after that it was a brand new engine almost. These guys are awesome and aren't just about the all mighty dollar.

They've never let down or ripped me off. Went to one of their competitors for years only to find out I had been dumping money into a hole, when I could barely afford to fix my car to begin with. Had multiple people recommend them over the past 5 years.You can't go wrong with these guys, they know what they're doing, and they always take responsibility if they miss something.Best auto place in Columbia.I cannot give them enough praise.

As a manager at Plaza Tire Service I know quality work when I see it. Today I needed a exhaust pipe welded on my 2015 Subaru Legacy. I called them and was able to have my guys take my car and drop it with them and work it in same day. Phil was very helpful at asking exactly what I was looking for. I rarely trust people with my car but I was not dissatisfied in the least from A to Z. As 1 who also welds I can tell the welds are top quality, the pipe is done perfect and curved like it s supposed to be wish I could give them 100 stars because they deserve it! HONEST mechanics! Reasonable labor and turnaround. An ACCURATE DIAGNOSIS the first time around. Reasonable parts fees. If they can get a used, refurbished part to save you money, they will make you aware of that and let you choose. I have been using a to z for multiple vehicles since 2005. Never had a bad experience. Never felt like I got ripped off. They have always communicated well with me as a customer, what repair(s) are APPROPRIATE, and a spot on estimate.I have and will continue to recommend them to everyone.Judging by Phil's alley and street more full of customers than ever, others have had good experiences also.

After 2 weeks and $4000 for the work they still do not have my car fixed and they will not be touching my or anyone. I knows vehicle again. Good service but took much longer than expected. I dropped off my car at 830am and was told it would take at least 30-40 minutes to look at my car. Totally fine. But 4 hours passed without any information from them. I called and was told they were nearly ready to look at my car. Another three hours later, I called again, finally they were really ready for my car! Ultimately my car was finished at around 450pm.Workers in the front office were extremely polite but, as you can see, not entirely accurate in their estimates of how much time it might take to fix my car (the fix itself took less than 30 minutes total).I will add that there were employees in the front office not wearing masks. But I will probably take my car back here! The service was great, overall.

First time here, got truck out of shop today so only 4 stars to see if the repair lasts. After 4 visits to Plaza Tire and $1,900 spent on guarantees to fix the issue, they finally said they couldn't do it. A to Z found the issue and repaired it in 1 day for � the costs!!! The technician Steve called and explained everything keeping me fully informed as to exactly what the issue was and what it took to repair. Kudos Steve! Thanks to owner Phil for providing quality service to the community!
