I took my car into this place because my thermostat went out and my check engine light was on. They did diagnostics and they said it was the thermostat. I went to pick the car up after they replaced the thermostat and they told me that the radiator fan was going out and the engine wasn't cooling. They kept my car over the weekend and I paid them almost $1000. I went to get my car and I noticed a leak on the opposite side of the car . I went back inside and told the mechanics that it was leaking antifreeze. A mechanic went and looked at my car. They told me that the mechanic who worked on my car spilt antifreeze on the engine. I brought it home and I parked it. The next morning it was still leaking on the same side. I brought it back in and they said it was the antifreeze bottle that was leaking. They said that the antifreeze bottle got too hot and the nipple was brittle and broke. They cut my car down and called my car cheap. I paid them to fix that and then brought it home and now it's leaking more antifreeze. I called them and told them and they said they would charge me to look at it. It wasn't leaking antifreeze until after I took it there. I'm out over $1100 and the car is still not fixed. I kept the radiator fan that they said wasn't running right. My father-in-law who is a diesel mechanic tested the old fan at his home and it worked. I feel cheated and taken advantage of. I don't appreciate how they talked about my car. Don't go here.

My father is a diesel mechanic. He has been one for decades. Usually when my car breaks down I take it to him. My father has since aged into his 60s and no longer has a garage. When my husband's thermostat went out we went ahead and put his car in the shop at Campus Auto. The mechanic told us that the motor fan that cools the engine was going out. We had them replace the motor fan and I told my dad. My dad requested that my husband ask the shop for the old fan. We paid the shop, picked up the car and drove it home. I took the old fan to my father. My father hooked up the old fan and tested it. The fan started up.

Too expensive.. I had to pay $66 for the labor cost of just replacing a tail light. I gave the parts (light system) and it took them approximately 10 minutes to replace it. It is very unfair to charge $66 for just replacing a tail light.

This is my favorite place to do tire business. The guys are knowledgeable, experienced and friendly. It's not often that you find a small business committed to customer satisfaction. Even the owner is a hands on worker. They get my business, they should have yours also!

Great service. They were able to source and put a new tire on my truck in less than 6 hours from calling right when they opened at 7:30. Price was great, and they did an awesome job, no mess-ups like I've encountered with so many tire shops recently. Don't go anywhere else!

This is a genuine review and had someone told me personally not to come here I wish I had that happen. This isn t exaggeration. This is frustration. So please . DONT trust them with your car .Do NOT go here for anything other than an oil chang !!! Twice now have they sent me my car back running worse than when I dropped it off. Don t trust them with any other interior work because they twice now have they not connected IMPORTANT parts. One mistake resolving in trying to charge me $1,000 to fix something that they didn t do right. The first time they had to keep it a day. The second all weekend. Fixing my car. Now I have to wonder , did they ever actually do anything to my car? Or did they just keep it for days and charge me for it?Picked my car up yesterday and it s running TERRIBLE . After them claiming they fixed it. Wasn t running that way when I dropped it off. They re mechanics have no clue what they are doing over there , Time and time again have they screwed me over. Somewhere along the lines they tried to fix something else and still somehow made it worse. Or I m still resorting to them not actually doing anything to it.!!! This business needs to have they re license and certification in question. !!!

Don't let them replace a brake light for you, will cost $30. Got two bulbs at Auto Zone for $8. And he put it in for me, no charge! This is a rebuttal to your response.. you were going to charge me $660 an hour! It took Auto Zone less than 2 minutes to replace my brake light! What industry charges $660 an hour!

I would give this place 10 stars if I could. I had really unfortunate luck with my car and was having a very hard day when I brought it in to get my brakes fixed. Everyone there was honest and friendly and they helped me out when I don t think other auto shops would ve. As a female college student who knows nothing about cars they treated me with kindness and respect and I am grateful I chose to go to them. Would definitely recommend other students to go here.Service: Brakes

Went in for an auto engine diagnostic test just for them to tell me the same thing I told them when I went in. Wise words from the guy, that sits in the front answering the phone all day yeah we lifted up the hood and listened to it charging people $65 just to lift up a hood and listen SMH . If you re having some unusual problems with your engine and need an actual DIAGNOSTIC TEST..DO NOT I repeat DO NOT even waste your time with these lazy people. Wise words from the guy who sits up front, we only do water pumps and stuff like that . Yet the day before I actually went in and called and asked if they knew how to do actual engine repair his response was yes over the phone. Hopefully that $65 help out this so called company a long way.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

Wanted to charge me 800$ to fix a gas line in my truck. Went somewhere else and paid 60$ (not a typo) and they replaced the entire line in less than a hour.Edit: As you can see below from campus tire's response. They don't pay close attention to detail. I had the entire gas line replaced. Not patched or anything. Full line replaced.

If your going to do motorcycle inspection. Shouldn't you at least have one person that knows how to ride one? It would be the same thing as doing car inspection an not having anyone to drive it.

Super great and affordable service! I'm not from the area so I wasn't sure where to take my car to get some work done on it, but I pass this place a lot so I figured I would check it out. They were able to get me in right away, took care of the issue within a couple of hours, and it cost less than I was anticipating. The staff is also very friendly and helpful which was a definite plus.

Friendly staff! I was in from out-of-town and they made a point to get my vehicle in that day to be looked at then fixed quickly after. Reasonably priced!

I have been doing business with Campus Auto for 6 years, and unfortunately have to cut the relationship off.I initially went in for a wheel alignment, hoping to correct some problems in my steering. Unfortunately, tie rod ends were frozen, and I had a bent control arm. The owner explained to me that I would be spending over $500, with the chances of my car still veering to right. I had to decline, as I could only afford an alignment at the time.Days went by, and I was fortunate enough to afford new tie rods and an alignment. I got it fixed, but my car still pulled to the right. Admittedly, I knew that the bent control arm had to be the problem (like he mentioned), but I returned to the shop and approached the owner in a soft rage, telling him the problem wasn t fixed. He was very patient with me and reminded me of the conversation we had earlier. Embarrassed, I soon apologized.I gave him the okay to order a new control arm, since now I could afford it. He gave me a rate of over $340 with labor, parts, and alignment. I said okay. He told me the part will take 2-3 days to arrive.Time went on. I had thought about canceling the order and just providing my own part, but I had already given them a hard time so I kept quiet. But, days turned into weeks and I never received a call. I finally gave them a call. The owner picked up. I told him who I was, my vehicle, and what I was waiting on. His response: and who did you talk to about this? I gave the name (his) and reminded him of the conversation we had earlier. His exact response: okay, well, I didn t order the part. He didn t deny my approval, he didn t even say he forgot to order it.I told him not to worry about the part. He gave me my rate for just labor and alignment. A couple hours after that conversation, I visited the store to ask to have the price of the alignment be waived from my bill since I had just had an alignment done. That was turned down, understandably. I went in today to get the control arm fixed.Although patient, and as kind as he could be, the owner was overall very inconsiderate of my situation. It seemed like he chose not to order the part after I told him to. It s clear to me now that he didn t want to do business with me after the wheel alignment, but their price to fix the control arm couldn t be beat. The three stars are for the price, my car being somewhat fixed, and for the owner s patience. I understand this particular time we re living in is stressful.

This place is awesome! Their prices are very competitive, but there's one catch: Good luck getting tires put on! If you are employed full-time, Monday-Friday at an 8-5 type job, and you're not allowed the luxury to leave work any time you want, you're not going to have any luck here! THEY AREN'T OPEN ON SATURDAYS!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!

My daughter took her car there for some engine issues, and we received an honest fix by cleaning the existing parts on the engine. We didn't get upsold, and there was no attempt to trick her into unnecessary repairs. I have a lot of respect for this business and that will be our mechanic of choice in Cape. This is very refreshing to find an honest business. Thank you Campus Auto & Tire!

I've been here once or twice and they seem wishy-washy. I've gotten brakes replaced here where I brought the necessary parts to them. All was good. Another time, I brought a simple thermostat to be replaced in my 2011 jeep gc and they basically said, "We don't have the time and we don't put on parts you've bought." They also get really backed up and can have waiting times of days for simple car procedures. Hourly labor rate is mediocre at best.

I went in for brake pads and rotors. I had called the day before to get an idea on how long the process would take and I was told an hour. They don't offer appointments so I figured I would get there right when they opened @7:30am. Upon arriving I was told that they were already working on something so it would be a minute (which was fine). My car finally got pulled in around 8am however I didn't leave until well over 2hrs later. However before they actually started fixing what I had already discussed upon arriving, they came over to me while I was in the waiting area with two other ladies and read aloud everything that needed to be done and my pricing which I thought slightly rude since they addressed every other customer by their name and personally called them over to the desk to discuss the details of their vehicle.Nonetheless, I approved of the work and waited for another hour to get my car back. Immediately when I begin driving, I heard a loud siren like noise and brought my car back to figure out why it was making that noise since it wasn't doing that prior to my visit. In which case, they proceeded to tell me my rear brake Barrons/drums froze and they couldn't get it off.Well why wouldn't you tell me that since it was obvious that it was problem before I left? That's what I would have done. They proceed to give me pricing on how much it would cost to be fixe but when I inquired why I had to pay for a problem that they caused, he responded with "well that's what happens because it's an old car". . .Long story short, this was a complete rip off and I was more disappointed with the lack of honesty and integrity these "mechanics" lack. Just another example of how mechanics give women the run around and try to rip them off at any chance. I will not be going back
