We were on vacation from Minnesota when a heat shield came loose, causing a rather annoying rattling sound. We were recommended A&L by Jordan at Pep Boys in Springfield, and we are very happy with the recommendation. We called early Monday morning from our hotel, and they said to bring it right over as it would take 20 minutes or so. When we arrived, Larry pulled it right in, and we waited inside while getting to pet the nice dog. Ten minutes later, Larry came back in and said, 'You're good to go.' The heat shield was rusted, so he just pulled it off, and they didn't even charge us for the work. We are very grateful for their help, wonderful service, and for getting us back to our vacation quickly. Everybody there was very friendly and I would not hesitate to go back if I were ever in the area and needed help again.

My wife and I came to Branson to unwind from Kansas City. We got to Tanger and my cooling fan was making the craziest sound. We found the closest place for repair, read the reviews and took a chance. Glad we did . They looked at it quickly and asked if we could bring it back in the morning. We brought it back. Sharon drove us to a restaurant about 20 minutes away while we waited. That is customer service!!!!! They did a great job and we are back in business!! Best part was riding with Sharon chit chatting and sitting by Ace their English Cream Retriever. In short.. they are HONEST, KIND REASONABLE and FUN!!! Wish we lived here!! They would be my go to service and repair place!!!

If You re Looking for a Reliable Mechanic in the Branson Area. I recommend A & L. Needed some work done on my Jeep. Original Quote was $700. Only Cost $620.

I can't say enough about how knowledgeable and friendly Larry and his staff were in fixing my cars air conditioning during the sweltering heat of August. They fit me into their schedule extremely quickly and at a very reasonable price. Please give my sincere thank you to all your staff. I went in for a check engine light. The folks at A & L took care of me right away. They were all just good, honest, and down to earth folks. If my travels take me back to Branson, I'll definitely trust A & L with my auto repair and maintenance needs. Thank you for a great experience!

My husband took our vehicle in this morning for it to be seen. He came home very impressed with the friendless, care and honesty we received. We had our engine light go off and on. They did NOT take advantageof the situation. When my husband thanked them, he told my husband they are not there to be dishonest. Thank you sir, We Will recommend them! I got my clutch replaced here. They were absolutely amazing. They explained what had happened and didn't charge a ton either. I am very grateful for their friendly service and getting it done in a timely manner.

Came in when my truck sounded like the transmission was going out. Turns out it was the was some fly wheel that was causing the issue. 1500$ + thinking issue only costed me 270$ and was done within an hour. I will always come back.

Had an issue on the road up here to Branson with Nissan Frontier transmission. Called this shop to see if they could fit me in, Office ladies said absolutely. So I called AAA for a tow to the shop at 0800. Truck dropped off at 0830, truck returned to me at 1330 after they came and picked me up at my location, very considerate and was excellent customer service by all. FAmily owned business, and it shows, as they care for you like family.I cannot express my thanks for them enough to get us back on the road quickly so we can finish out trip to Northern Illinois.Service: Transmission

These guys saved our travel in my MDX 5 years ago, circa 2018. Traveling with wife and a couple toddlers,A/C goes out driving to Branson from Wichita. Took it to these guys on a Saturday morning,they fixed the issue and got us running again. Still have fond memories of the excellent treatment we received.

While vacationing in Branson, my vintage Ford Fusion V6 developed a miss and the "check engine" light came on. I went to Yelp and found an automotive repair shop (A & L Automotive) with twelve reviews, all of them 5.0, some from visitors like myself. It was late evening, so I had my car towed there and phoned A & L the next morning. The diagnosis was a miss on the #5 cylinder, caused by a failed fuel injector. Work on odd-numbered cylinders of V6 engines requires a lot of labor, but the estimated cost was so reasonable that I asked them to change the spark plugs, as well, since most of the labor cost would be covered by the injector replacement. A & L did all this work quickly, at a very reasonable price, and they were some of the nicest people you will meet anywhere. In addition, they gave a nationwide, 24-month, 24,000 mile warranty on their work. I neglected to mention that the tow truck driver also recommended A & L Automotive.

I was in Branson from out of state and needed emergency AC repair in 100 degree temparatures. They diagnosed me same day even though I came in an hour before closing and they had it fixed by the next afternoon. The prices were really reasonable too. I wish I lived locally just to have an auto repair like that near me!

Our alternator bit the dust at the end of a weekend getaway in Branson.A & L not only got us on the road that same day, they reassured us that they could make that possible when I called in panic mode that morning.Top notch service from the front counter to the mechanics, I can t recommend this place enough!

Wonderful service! We were in Branson this week for a short family vacation, when my Jeep started making a disturbing noise. Thinking it was a suspension issue, I took it in. They were able to get my vehicle in quickly, which is excellent as I was under a time table for military orders. They quickly diagnosed the issue and made repairs. The staff was professional, courteous, and accommodating, and the price was more than reasonable. 10/10 would recommend to anyone!

We were traveling from out of state and had a major mechanical issue. They stayed open late on a Friday night to get the issue fixed so that we could be on our way home.These guys are professional, kind and caring people. Their fees are extremely reasonable and the service was fantastic. Highly recommended!

I wish no one finds this place so I can use them all to myself!!They are honest and fair. Everything I googled was $800-$1,100 fix and the dealership was 1 week wait to fix a temperature gauge on my wife s car for a cooling fan.Not A&L Automotive!!They took me in 2 days later and the cost to fix was $250The mechanic came to me and showed me what codes came up on the computer and what they meant, I was very impressed with the No BS approach.The great reviews on google is what got me to try this place out, you will forever have my business.If there is a wait to get my cars in I will never complain again.Please stay honest and don t ever change !Very Happy New CustomerService: Auto maintenance

A&L was amazing! My husband, myself, and our two young children were here for just a few days on vacation and had a brake issue. We called all over in panic trying to get a repair so we could make it home in time to return to work. A&L was clearly very busy but made time to fit us in to get us home. Their staff were so kind, honest, and knowledgeable. They were great about letting us know when they would look at it, updated us with what needed to be done and the cost of the repair, and were done right when they said they would be for the quoted price. I can't say enough about how great A&L was. We called about a week in advance to get parts ordered since we knew we would be passing through. A previous shop had told us we needed new shocks and struts so that's what we told them when we made the appointment. They gave us a quote that was very reasonable compared to the previous shop. As it turns out- we didn't even NEED new shocks and struts. Our issues were caused by a rather large build up of dirt in our wheel wells. They could have easily just done the job and taken our money and we would never have been the wiser... but instead they were honest and only charged us 50 bucks for the diagnostic and sent us on our way- problem fully solved! I highly HIGHLY recommend them if you're looking for honest and reasonably priced work!
