I am always pleased with my service here! Robert in sales is my guy! Robert not only found this vehicle for me, but he also dropped it off at my house (an hour away) for me to drive until I could come in and sign paperwork for it! He is a genuine person that s looking to get you the best bang for your buck and as efficient at what he does!

I recommend Pettijohn Auto Center in Bethany Mo highly! I was traveling and felt there was a problem with my car. I took it to them and they solved the problem I felt I had and was one the road again in hour and half. They were very thoughtful and pleasant to deal with in my need! I really appreciated them!

Unfortunately, for me, my wheel bearing went out just a few miles from Bethany in the middle of the night. But fortunately, these wonderful people were there to help me in a pinch. They got me on the road in less than 24 hours and had excellent customer service. They picked me up and dropped me off at the hotel and we re accommodating it every step. I would recommend them just based on service every single time.

I ve been with Pettijohn since 2019, they make you feel human- willing to work with you on your needs and expectations to make a purchase seem like a wise choice. I may live a bit further away now- but the quality of professionalism, intrapersonal connections, and their overall approach to helping a new vehicle buyer with their deal is what makes the 2.5hr drive to the dealership worthwhile. Our good friend took us to Pettijohn Auto for the first time. We have been local NW Missouri residents for many decades and it is unfortunate our family did not come here sooner! Everyone was great and extremely friendly no pushy sales people. It s really neat that this is still a family owned business established in 1942 and I think that s what sets this car dealership apart from their competitors. I purchased a new Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD to use for large animal veterinary work. Thank you guys!!

Scheduled an appointment a week ahead of time dropped it off. Told them what it was. They said it wouldn t be till Thursday at 2 the next day then I called Friday and it wasn t until Friday at 2. I then came to the dealer to understand why there was a change and no one notified or communicated to me. What if I needed my truck by Friday? But the service manager stepped in and some sales reps to make sure it was taken care of and it was delivered to the property I was at.Just need better communication for changes that occur. It s the principle of having an appointment and then it changes twice and not being told. But the service manager did a fantastic job. Ot was around deer season so I get people had time off or they were busy with other out of town people but they took care of it.

Usually they do excellent service. Not this time. They lied cheated stole n broke my stuff. N set us on our way. saying they had to order a part that they can't get from parts store. That was 3 weeks ago n have heard nothing from them!. I don't think I'll every trust them again!

We're an vacation and got stuck in the Iowa blizzard. For days, we sat in the the hotel parking lot with a diesel truck that would not start. Once we got going, we drove for a while and the truck kept throwing "fuel filter" problems. After lots of stops and goes, we finally arrived at Pettijohn service center. It was late in the afternoon but they got our truck in during the last hour and changed out the fuel filter. We were back on the road in record time. The service department at Pettijohn's really saved our vacation. Thank you again.

I went in to get an estimate for body damage caused by hitting a deer. Toni was awesome to work with, and got me in quick for an estimate. He then contacted my husband to talk about things pertaining to my vehicle which is fine, but it kinda rubbed me wrong as all these times before he had spoke to me. Parts were ordered, and date was set for my car to go into shop. I dropped my car off on Sunday Jan. 21, 2024 and left the keys in the overnight box. 1 week went by with no communication, 2 weeks went by no communication. I called and left a message on Feb. 5, 2024. No return call. On Feb. 6th, I call again. I get the receptionist in the bodyshop and she says Toni is in restroom and I hold for a moment and he gets on the phone. I am upset no one has called about my car, the receptionist is talking so Toni puts it on speaker. The receptionist is telling me on Feb 5th they spoke to my insurance company and my insurance company said they sent a check to my home address. I had talked yo my insurance company on Feb 6th before calling Pettijohn's and they said they sent a check to Pettijohn's. At this point I am upset, because they are saying a check was sent to me while my insurance company is saying check was sent to them. Then there is still the issue that my car has been finished and nobody notified me. Then my husband calls in, come to find out a check had been sent to Pettijohn's in my husband's name and Pettijohn's. Toni insisted we get checks canceled and have new checks reissued. So our insurance company stops check has to wait a few days to make sure it wasn't cashed before issuing another check. I like Pettijohn's, I have bought my car there, have maintenance done regularly on my car there, but that will be the last time I use the body shop portion. Communication in the bodyshop is not their strong suit. I finally got my car out of the shop on February 9, 2024. 19 days after it was in their possession. Who would of called me had I not called to check on my car?

Great service, no haggling. I made an offer that everyone was happy with and they didn t try to get me for more. No additional paperwork fees that lots of dealers add on to your deal. Hal was great to work with. Oh, and we got a tv for a Christmas gift!!! I ll go back!

Fender, bumper and headlight damage. Body shop did a great job fixing all the problems and did an outstanding job detailing my pickup without being asked to do so. Kayla and Toni are fantastic.

I went to Pettijohns to look at a car, I test drove a 2014 chevy impala and it had absolutely nothing wrong with it. I was only there for an hour and a half. That was the fastest sale I've ever experienced.

Larry Crone was wonderful to work with on purchasing our new vehicle. He was fare and went the extra mile to make sure our purchase met our needs and expectations. We appreciated the driver assistance from Gene with the logistics of driving our 2nd trade in back to Bethany Mo. He was a delight to visit with on our journey to Des Moines, Iowa. Great job! Traveling through from another state experienced over heated transmission! Made time to get me in right away! Diagnosed the problem top off the transmission fluid and got me on my way with minimal delay!

Pros: The process was quick, finance manager was awesome with a great sense of humor, very laid back group of people.Cons: I was a little disappointed. Called about the vehicle, asked if there s anything wrong with it mechanical/cosmetic wise. Salesman proceeded to say nothing was wrong with it at all since it did only have about 2k miles on it. Drove 4 hours there to see that the car wasn t detailed at all. There was a scuff on the right side of the bumper and a paint scraped off on the corner of the front right fog light cover. Felt like that was something that shouldve been addressed beforehand and if that couldve gotten fixed before the drive/purchase.Advise: Please take the time to look over a vehicle and provide your buyers with every detail. Especially if they re driving a far distance to come purchase the vehicleOverall: It was a decent buying experience. Would ve been better if the vehicle was detailed, scuff on front bumper buffed out, and fog light cover fixed upon arrival to purchase.*UPDATE**The Salesman I worked with reach out. Felt upset about my review. The conversation wasn t professional at all. I ve worked with many Salesman in the past and this is the first unpleasant experience I ve ever had with a Salesman on the phone. Said that the car was detailed and the scuff on the front bumper and paint scrape on the fog lights wasn t there when I got there. Proceeded to accuse me of putting those damages on the vehicle during my test drive. I saw those damages BEFORE the test drive. My test drive was less than 5 minutes, just driving down the road pass the traffic light and turned back to the dealership. Also, I brought these damages to his attention when I was there. He said the damages must ve been done by other salesmen driving it. Don t believe me? I even told the worker who put on my plates exactly what he told me which was the damages being there from other salesmen driving it.My review is based on what I saw and what I experience there. I have no reason to lie but to accuse me for the damages when I didn t do it is crazy. I had a great experience with everyone there besides this salesman. I want to make this clear, anyone at this dealership are more than welcomed to contact me but this salesman. Thank you.

Easily the best car buying experience I've ever had! I really appreciated that this dealer wrapped all taxes/fees into the total price of the vehicle (making financing simple and transparent). After arranging financing ahead of time, I was in and out of the dealership with my new ride in under 20 minutes. Fantastic! Huge thanks to Larry and Hal -- these salesmen were very polite and helpful throughout the entire process!

I can't say enough about Pettijohn Auto Center. A few weeks ago I stopped at Bethany, MO to charge my Tesla Model 3 at the supercharger there and I was rear ended hard enough my car was not drivable. After I went to the tow shop, my wife, son and I walked across the street to Pettijohn where I noticed the Electric Ford Mustang. We were in need of a car and Pettijohn wanted to demo their car so we were able to help each other out. They were fantastic in taking care of us and letting us demo the Mustang Mach E for 24 hours. As a Tesla driver for the past 2 years, I was excited to try out the Mustang. I think Ford has a winner here. Let me share what I liked a lot. 1) Suspension - for highway driving, it was incredibly comfortable - same with the seats. It felt sporty, yet dampened the bumps on the road. 2) Lane Keep function - while not Tesla's autopilot, it did a great job. What I really liked is how putting on the turn signal "temporarily" disabled it to let you take control, and a second or so after getting in your new lane, it auto resumes the lane keep function. 3) Visibility - better than expected - I really liked the blind spot warning on the mirrors - wish my Tesla had this. 4) Range Prediction- very accurate, I actually got about 5% more range than predicted. This model did not have as big of battery as my Model 3, but still adequate for taking it on a road trip. 5) Charging - I found a fast charger in Des Moines and only needed about 20 min to finish my trip and then our hotel had a plug-in to top me off for the next morning and my return trip. There was quite a bit of cargo space in the hatchback and overall it is just a great car. It did not have quite the acceleration I'm used to in my Tesla, but it was more than needed (this was not the GT model). Great job Ford in joining the electric car space! Also, thank you Pettijohn. They went out of their way and helped me out when I was in a pinch - best service I've ever had from an auto dealer. These folks were amazing and next time I'm in the market for a Ford, I wouldn't hesitate for a second to purchase from this fine dealer. Top service all around!

Horrible service. Started off with Kyle is service turning in a wrong estimate to insurance off by over $1200. No work was completed by them. Stated parts were bad and tried getting $2,500 out of me and couldn t aligned the truck until parts were replaced. I then took it to 2 other shops that stated they couldn t find anything wrong and aligned the truck just fine. Pettijohn also couldn t find parts and stated no eta on the parts but I was able to find them in St. Joseph at Randy Reed chevy. Would not recommend going here or less you wanna get the run around and go broke with no repair.

Very convenient!! I meet the guy at kum and go at 645 and traded vehicle and went to work. Then I meet him after work and got my vehicle back. In the meantime thwy changed my oil and checked on everything else.
