I took my vehicle in for an oil leak and a check engine light being on. They claimed to have found a bunch of different leaks totaling thousands of dollars in repairs. I reluctantly accepted, had the work done, paid and took my vehicle home. By the time I got home, it was still leaking and still had the check engine light on. I took it back to them and they magically found more leaks and claimed to have more ideas about how to address the check engine light. After another thousand dollars paid for the second round of repairs, I drove my vehicle home. Immediately after leaving their lot, I could hear noise from my front suspension. Attempting to troubleshoot it, I took a detour on the way home to continue driving the vehicle. After a few more minutes of normal driving, my left front tie rod end fell completely off the front wheel....(this is a safety critical component and lack of tie rods will cause loss of steering). I was able to limp the vehicle home as this happened very close to my residence. Upon further inspection, my right side tie rod end was very loose and about to give way. My left tie rod end was hanging down and had drug the ground while getting the vehicle home. While they did give me a rental car while they addressed these issues after my vehicle had to be towed back to them (the third visit in a very small window of time), their first attempted fix for my tie rods was apparently to just bolt the old ones back on with new nuts even though one had been dragging the ground (this is not how they are done at the manufacturer). When they called me and told me this, I immediately went in to talk to their service manager. The service manager said he was vaguely aware of the situation but really didn't understand the details or how this could have happened. Only after I suggested they install new parts to replace the ones that had come loose and drug the ground did he really seem to be engaged in the conversation and installed new parts to appease me. All around an absolute JOKE of an experience....a JOKE of a service department and I absolutely would not take my vehicle here if I were you. They literally almost killed me. I have pictures, shop work orders and everything in case anyone is in doubt of this experience.

Jimmy Mac did a wonderful job in taking care of my mother. Long story short, I live in Michigan and my mother was visiting. We looked at local dealers for a vehicle that she was interested in. With no luck locally, we went to the internet to find her car. She lives in Southern Illinois and we found a vehicle at Elco Chevrolet, 2.5 hours from her home. We spoke with Jimmy on the phone and he arranged everything. My mother is happy and very pleased with her vehicle and the customer service she received. Thank you for a great purchasing experience!

Twice in a row, I have driven my truck off the lot only to have to return for additional service.Yesterday, I drove off the lot and was on my way home when I realized the engine lights and other indicators were on. Returned and service guy helped rectify my issue. He was great. Never should have happened though and don't understand how they would bring a truck around when problem indicator lights were on the panel.

Dylan was our sales rep and he did an excellent job of explaining all the features of the Chevy Tahoe we were interested in. We told him the colors and trim we liked and he contacted us as soon as they came in to the dealership. He gave us a fair price for our trade-in and we agreed on a sale price in a timely manner. He introduced us to the service department contacts and they did the extra applications we requested while we finished the paperwork. Dylan was never pushy and listened to our needs and wants. It was a painless and excellent experience buying a vehicle from ELCO!

Had our 2020 Chevy lcf 5500 towed here as they assured us they can get it fixed when Lou Fusz couldn't, bought truck new in 2020, due to def issues is been in the shop repeatedly and as of today only has 3800 miles on it.That's correct not a typo, less than 1000 miles a year.Sadly all they did was the same as Fusz, drained the def tank and refilled and reset the limp mode.The dash sensor on way home showed 3/5 a tank while the tube indicator on tank showed full.Unfortunately Elco and Fusz are the only two Chevy authorized warranty facilities for mid size trucks in the St Louis area.Here we are, a couple days later and low and behold, derated again.4007 miles.If they actually replaced anything other than the fluid I'd say at least they are trying but they're not.

Everything was very welcoming about the dealership, and everything was explained upfront and very clearly about the vehicle, I was looking at and the deal. And when the vehicle was delivered, it was a great experience with all the information, and all the functions and operations of the vehicle Was explained very thoroughly. This is our second purchase with Jayson. We went to another dealership first just to see what they had and the vibe was just off. We would have paid more at Elco for the experience alone, although Jayson makes it work for our budget every time. We will be back!

My parents live 2 hours away and made the drive to ELCO (upon my recommendation) to purchase a new vehicle. They love their new Cadillac. So much in fact they paid extra to have the clear bra system put on it to protect it. They made the 2 hour drive back up to ELCO to have it installed and at that point they hadn t owned the vehicle 2 months. They had only driven it 3 times since the purchase to make sure no paint damage was done prior to getting the bra installed. While the Cadillac was in the care of ELCO they gave the nice NEW rims curb rash and my parents notified ELCO upon getting it back that they had scratched the rim and my father requested a replacement rim to which they replied they could repair the rim and would be in touch. My parents have called them multiple occasions since then and been given the runaround with no resolution. A repaired rim is unacceptable when your vehicle isn t brought back to you in the same condition it was originally in and it s a luxury vehicle to boot.

This particular dealership was a much more pleasant experience than the last one. Which is shame because the other one is much closer to my home. But when you shell out lots of money to get your vehicle serviced it's nice to have the other person greet you with a smile and not give you attitude. So I will continue to drive way out of my way for the better service.

Paid for oil change and fluids check. Told all good then got warning light less than 3 days later showing low coolant. Also charged diagnostic panel although all they did was run codes i provided and estimate for part was 10x what other costs showed. Took elsewhere for repairs. Smh. Typical dealership

Had an appointment for oil change and tire rotation. During the sign in process, the individual was not the most friendly individual in fact he was rude. I ask them to give me their opinion on whether or not to have new brakes or not. I have 99000 miles on the car. When I paid for the work, the receptionist looked for a report on the brakes and she could not find one. She said to ask my check in person. She did not try to call him over or find him. I left and I'm not coming back. I was going to look for a new car since I bought the current car fromElco a couple of years ago.

So far, because my repairs are not done yet, I really like it. The facility is beautiful, the loan just comfortable, the stuff is amazing. Everybody there was super friendly, helpful and professional. I am from out of town and they were awesome at how fast they helped me to get back on the road. It was very much like going to the Mercedes & Porsche dealers back home. I love the lux treatment.

I ve was looking for a Malibu for over three months. Saw the one at Elco Chevrolet that was mark $2,000 less than anything else I saw. Walked in and met Mark G the salesman. Never felt pressure to buy the vehicle and he was very upfront about the pricing. Enjoyed my experience.

No hidden fees like with other dealerships. One upfront fee was disclosed to me and that's all I paid. Murray was very nice. I found him to be trustworthy and a joy with whom to work.

So far I'm definitely impressed with the services provided at elco. Kevin has went above and beyond to keep me informed every step of the way and make sure I stay in the loop with as far as the status of my vehicle. They greet you with your name when they answer the phone it makes you feel like you're part of the family. Definitely going to be using this company again and hopefully more people will read this review and definitely ask for Kevin he'll take care of you!

Great experience. We broke our cam shaft on our way to vacation. We drove up from Branson, The truck began to break down. As we arrived near St. LOUIS and we insta lntly drove to ELCO and dropped our keys in the overnight drop box. We caught our flight to Italy the next day and called Elco about the truck.When we arrived back in the states Elco gave us a 2024 loaner while the continued to repair our truck.I would recommend them time and again. Thanks drew.

There was a weird issue going on with my daughters car. I called and set up an appointment for them to look at it even though we both had a hard time trying to explain the way the car was acting but they got us in very quickly and in one day found out the problem and fixed it and it now runs great! Couldn t be happier with the service and quick turnaround! Never taken the car anywhere other than Elco and won t in the future! Best dealership ever and I m over 50!

I had made an appointment but still was there until after closing and when I finally got to be taken care of, the salesman rushed through it because he had to pick up his daughter. It was not a good experience and I regret buying this car.

Absolutely terrible service department, if you wanna get ripped off you came to the right place. My wife and her family have dealt with this dealership for 10 years. They charged 400 for a car battery. Merry Christmas, you have completely lost our loyalty in 1 hour time.
