I moved last year and had to find a new mechanic, the guys at Car-X are extremely friendly and helped me get my car good enough to where I could pass my safety and emissions test. They let me know exactly what I needed to get done but didn't pressure me to spend money I didn't have. I will be coming back anytime. I need my car fixed . I will say, they are a little bit more expensive than my last mechanic but he just ran the place by himself

I wasn't happy paying $70-$80 for an oil change and looked for some options in my neighborhood and needed emissions and safety. The price was right $90 for a 3- pack for my older RAV4 that uses conventional oil.Manager Jeff was just a breath of cheer early in the morning. I said something about "being happy is a choice" and he pointed to his credit card machine with a similar comment on it. Results and recommendations came back but no pressure to proceed with any. It was a thorough once over with actual pictures from the undercarriage. Fresh oil and passed inspections. I'll be back. Thanks to the team.

Fast efficient service, on schedule and at a reasonable price. The manager Jeff took time to explain the work in detail. I would recommend this Car-X shop for any car repair.

not the most comfortable chairs while waiting, BUT to have a mechanic tell me that something can wait a while if I don't have the money right now, and that there won't be a price difference was refreshing! As a woman, I didn't feel talked down to and I didn't feel taken advantage of. Absolutely will be going here for everything and will be recommending them to everyone!

Jeff & his team do a great job of identifying problems beforehand & talking through options, along with costs. He s great with my wife, mother-in-law & 4 kids as well. I ve appreciated finding someone I can trust.

In all my years ( and that would be decades) , I have NEVER experienced the truly , most honest, thorough service that I experienced with Jeff and the entire Car X team in Ellisville mo. My current situation in life is more than one girl can handle including leaving a horrible domestic situation and having to get my car repaired to make it legal so my finances or lack there of had me in a panic when he let me know what it was Going to cost and as I instantly started to panic ( and cry) this man that I've never met prior to this calmed me down and said " we consider at customers family, we will work it out " and yes indeed he did and then some. Just when my faith in humanity had almost disappeared, they made it happen AND did a little extra that wasn't even necessary to get my car legal, he made my car less ugly and for a girl like me that hit me right in the heart. I cannot say enough about Jeff and his crew. I will NEVER go anywhere else. If you are shopping for a repair shop, this is the best place you will ever find. I truly have never felt so much gratitude and trust for an automated repair shop

Jeff was very honest, we did not need brakes and he told us. Told us the reason we were hearing the noise tire spray at car wash was causing the problem. Never had a mechanic NOT try to sell us stuff we didn t need. Thank you Jeff

Car maintenance is never fun but Jeff makes it about as enjoyable as it can be! Over the last couple of years, I've been to this location a few times and Jeff is absolutely the reason I keep coming back! The prices are comparable to anywhere else but the customer service is top tier. He always takes the time to explain what is being done to my car -- and if they have any recommendations, he talks through WHY they recommend it. I will continue getting my car maintenanced here because of the exceptional service Jeff and his team provide every single time.Services: Tire rotations, Oil change

I've been going to this Car-X since my first inspection in 2017. Everyone here is so kind and helpful! They explain the services they recommend for your car, and the price for it, but they won't perform it without your permission. The location is right next to the DMV - you could even walk there. I highly recommend Car-X!

I ve been bringing my vehicles to Jeff for more years than I can remember. I have found him to be honest and fair. I know I m always going to get the best price and the best service every time. I went to the dealership through which I purchased my current vehicle for a while, but I ve learned my lesson, and I m back. Never again! Manager Jeff and mechanic Will are such a pleasure to deal with. They are consummate professionals and are not only good in their work, but trustworthy. This is an important combination. In the current case, they fixed my son's car. As a matter of fact, they have almost rebuilt this car from when I first owned it and now as my son owns it. $10K +/- spent on it to date. Plus, I have used them since this store opened which includes 8 other vehicles during this period of time. I consider me and my family to be VIP customers and hope you do, too. Jeff, the manager, was very friendly and personable. I had an issue with a Car X from out of state and this location tried everything they could to correct the problem. I appreciate their thoroughness and willingness to help. They performed alignment work on my car and did an excellent job.

You are always greeted upon your arrival at this location with a smile. I dropped my car off Saturday morning for services. When I returned in the afternoon I was equally pleased with the service received. Great Job! Jeff (branch manager) is awesome! He's very personable and provides good service. My only complaint is the prices. Very high compared to a "mom and pop" shop. But when you're in a bind and short on time - call Jeff, chances are he'll answer, and you can rest assured he'll get you taken care of.

Perfect experience - just like the last 2 times we took our cars to them! We had an appointment and they got our car in right away. The work was completed quickly and the entire process was very smooth. But the main reason that we keep coming back to this location even though it is further away is because Jeff Rickerman is always happy to help his customers, has a funny sense of humor, and takes care of everything efficiently.Service: Vehicle safety inspection

Jeff and crew are simply amazing. Being a car guy and particular about who works on things is very important to me and I couldn t be more comfortable than I am with this CarX location. Service team knows their craft and is always helpful. Quality work. Jeff makes you feel like family from day one and somehow fits you in their schedule same day or next and still puts out quality work, honest, helpful, and all with a personal touch. Been to just about every place in the Saint Louis area to have my car looked at and not one has come close to how great Carx was. First time in today and plan on taking my car here for any future problems. Awesome place, Jeff and his employees are wonderful. They look out for your car without trying to take advantage. Will go back and sending my friends there. That was then, I have further determined Jeff is an expert b.s.er. They are good at little things but that's about it. His own tech says they do not have the equipment to even run diagnosis on some cars much less fix it. Will not be going back.

Jeff and his crew were welcoming, they changed a magnitude of different fluids for me that I've been pushing off, all while at an amazingly affordable price. I recommend this location to those in the area needed automotive help.
