My good friend took her car here on my recommendation. They treated her with honesty and respect. They were able to fix a problem that another shop said was impossible without totalling her car. All for just 350! I highly recommend giving this company your business.

In my opinion, it's an excellent place with extremely considerate and helpful staff. Nowadays, finding good people in this business can be quite challenging, but they are definitely an exception. The guest area with numerous antique items and a vast collection adds to the charm. I look forward to visiting them for all my car needs in the future.Second visit: Tire and wipers change, again excellent work done by them. Took hardly 1-1:30 hours and back on road, excellent alignment and fix the issue with wiper motion as well. Very helpful and very reasonable. I would suggest them to create online invoices and customer can pay online using ACH and without credit card too.

Did not have much of an experience here. I was baffled at the way I was treated I was too shocked to say anything in the moment. I arrived late which was entirely my fault and immediately took accountability for it. Things happen and I was already having a terrible morning. What baffled me was whoever the man was, in charge of the store, yelling at me while there was someone waiting in the open area. I understand being upset that someone is late but you do not yell at them, give them a dirty look, and walk away from them. I don t know what possessed him to yell at me that way, or treat me so disrespectfully but I let it go. I made an appointment for a later date. After I left I called Dobbs in Ballwin who were much more understanding, incredibly kind, and efficient. I was not going to write this review initially, but after having a completely different and highly pleasant experience elsewhere, I felt like this review needed to be posted. Please do not ever yell at your customers and talk down on them. It is incredibly hurtful and bad for business.

I have been going to Ballwin auto center for some time, for a few things like battery replacement, radio replacement, caliper replacement and a few other engine fixes. The owner, Scott, always goes the extra mile with his service, and charges extremely fair prices overall. His availability is always good, and front office admin, Kathy, is always so helpful in scheduling something soon. I'm thankful to have them locally and cannot recommend them enough.Services: Exhaust, Tires, Steering & suspension repair, Engine repair, Wheel alignment, A/C installation & repair, Auto brake replacement, Battery

Scott and the crew at Ballwin Auto Center are really great at what they do. I would not trust my baby ('57 Chevy) to just anyone. Scott took the time to communicate everything that I asked to have done, made great recommendations on some additional items and the end result; I couldn't be happier with the way the updates and repairs turned out. I really appreciated the communication and the care that Scott gave me and my car, keeping it secure while at the shop and delivering as promised. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone interested in quality work at a fair price with people who care about what they are doing.

This is my new go-to repair shop. I've brought my car here twice now - everyone I've dealt with has been exceedingly kind, and the mechanics seem very knowledgeable. I've felt very confident that they are being straight with me and that I'm not being taken advantage of. And lastly, they were very quick in diagnosing the issues with my car, communicating that to me, and turning it around very quickly. I highly recommend them, they will take very good care of you.

I highly recommend making the trip to Ballwin Auto and seeing Scott. I traveled 30 minutes to have Scott fix my car and he completed the job in less than 24 hours and the price was exponentially cheaper than other auto shops around the area. Scott is knowledgeable and will do the absolute best he can to help you out. We appreciate Scott and we'll be coming back here for all future needs.

My step daughters car broke down. The ignition switch went out. The owner Scott brought his trailer to where it was broke down 1 hour away and trailered to his shop. Saved me on a tow bill. He kept in touch with me daily to keep me updated on the process daily. Parts had to be ordered. I called everywhere to get it fixed and Scott was the cheapest and the friendliest. Had my car on the road in no time. It was my daughters car, so you know teenagers and how impatient they are about there car. She didn t have to wait very long going to Scotts Ballwin Auto Center. 5 stars! Thank you Scott for getting me on the road and the great price!

Honest, fair, and thorough. Highly recommended. I'm now a regular customer.Went back to BAC again to do a comprehensive brake service on my wife's BMW. Once again, fair price & quality work. I took my 2009 GMC Sierra truck in to see Scott. I told him I had a grinding noise coming from the passenger front wheel. He diagnosed a bad wheel bearing, and with my truck being a 2009 he suggested to do both bearings and he gave me a break on labor doing so. I elected to go ahead with his suggestion and my truck drives like a dream. I recommend anyone to use Ballwin Auto Center and I will bring all of my vehicles here in the future. My sister referred me to Ballwin Auto when I first moved into the area. She'd been going there for about 5 years and still does. I've now been going there for over 15 years and have never been disappointed. They have always been honest & open about costs & easy to work with. If a "car emergency" wasn't in the budget, the owner at that time, Don, would work with us to pay.Either Don or Scott, Don's head mechanic, would give us a call to walk us through the repairs and make sure it was ok to move forward with whatever we needed done or they would tell us what we might be able to put off for awhile. Recently, our '03 Montana wouldn't go into gear. This is the car the kids now drive. We gave Ballwin Auto a call& we were able to get the van to them. We thought the transmission was a goner & we were going to have a big bill. We also asked them to replace the back brake shoes & drums.That's when I found that Scott had bought the business from Don who had retired. There was a moment of "Uh-oh," I'm embarrassed to say, that the business culture/format might have changed, but I found quickly I had NOTHING to worry about.Scott was still the same straightforward, nice & honest guy he's always been. We got the repairs which were simpler than we thought, picked it up & took it home. The next night my son drove the van up to watch the fireworks at Manchester Park. When he got home, he said the brake fluid light came on and the brakes went almost down to the floor. I left a message on the shop phone & dropped the van at the lot in the overnight drop off.The next business day Scott called & spoke with my husband. B/c it's almost a 20 year old car, a seal had broken off when the pressure of new parts met old parts! Not anything that Ballwin Auto did. It just happened. My hubby who also works on trucks among other things said this sounded totally plausible. So, Scott fixed the problem, but when I went to pick up the van, Scott wouldn't let me pay anything to him. He felt bad for making us come back saying we were such good customers for so long. But there was NO WAY he could have known this was going to happen. It's an old car! This is why I love small business. He could have and rightly so charged us & we would've been fine with it, but that's the kind of person/business this is. Look, I could go on & make this review longer than it already is, but do yourself a favor & give Ballwin Auto a try. Oh, and FYI, besides car repairs I don't know Scott & nobody paid me for my review. I just thought it was long overdue on my part to write one! My dad has been coming to Ballwin Auto since I was in grade school in the 90s, and now I do too. They won't rip you off, try to fix anything that doesn't need fixing, or do anything other than fix your car in fair and timely manner.They're willing to work with you within your budget, like they'll let you know if something really has to be fixed today, or if it can maybe wait a little longer.I live in the city now, but I still make the drive out to Ballwin because it's worth it to take my car to someone I trust.

We are fairly new to the area & are so happy we found this place! Our car had a number of issues and I can t express how grateful we are for the quick & thorough service in what we ve had so far. They ve been responsive, informative, fair, friendly & professional.I don t give these reviews freely; five stars from this family.

I had a new engine installed in my Jeep. My Jeep now runs like a new one with no issues. Scott was very professional and went out of his way to make sure I was happy.

Scott is the only one that I will let work on my car Every one in the shop is very professional and kind they did NOT do any nickeling and diming of me told me and explained in full detail what my car needed and told me how much it was going to be before they even process the work kudos to them A great family owned operating business that treat you like one of the family I will definitely be back again

Worst place ever !!!! Very rude!!! Scammer!!! Don't EVER take your car here!!! My car is now worse than before I took it in!!! Don is very rude!!!! Doesn't explain anything !!! Nickel and dimes you for everything !!! You will be sorry if you take your car here !!! WORST EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE !!!
