The transmission on our 2018 Ford Escape was screaming when we brought it in to this shop. Stanton was extremely helpful, very knowledgeable, and explained things in layman s terms. We have a limited powertrain warranty, and Stanton worked with the warranty company to get the transmission replaced at very little cost to us. His knowledge of the mechanics and the warranty side saved us a great deal of money and stress. Thanks again to Stanton and his team for a job very well done. We recommend them highly, and will not hesitate to use their services in the future.

After several estimates we ended up taking our 2016 Jeep to Aamco when the "service transmission" light came on and they were excellent from start to finish. Our vehicle has a 9 speed transmission that is almost impossible to get and there is only one place in the country where you can get it. Stanton Martin at the Ballwin Aamco was on it for us during the entire process making absolutely sure we were first in line to get one of the few remanufactured transmissions when they were completed, which took a little over 3 months. If it were not for Stanton this probably would have take way longer as the Jeep dealer (where we purchased the vehicle) suggested to us it could take 6-8 months. Once Aamco got the transmission they had it in and working perfectly within a day or two. They also fixed several other items for us and we could not be more satisfied with the service and price. I would not hesitate to use them again and highly recommend the Aamco shop in Ballwin, Missouri.

Told me o needed a $7k transfer case ,turns out once I changed the fluid , no more squealing. When I called to say I believe you were mistaken ,I think fluid needs changed. Guy got really cocky with me like he knew what he was talking about. You could ve opened the drain plug to make sure there was fluid Mr king transmission ,rather than tell me I need a $7k part . Never be back .

Went to AAMCO to have a check on my Transmission fluid level. Stanton was very clear on what to do. They checked it and I was a little low on fluid. They added fluid and in a half hour I was out of there. Very Happy! as my car shifted much better. I definately reccomend them. Price was very fair. Thank you.

This place is a GODSEND! A squirrel chewed through my fuel line and it was backordered by 4 MONTHS. They MADE me a new fuel line for a great price and were so incredibly helpful. I live in the city but will gladly travel out this far for ethical and helpful expertise that this place has.

My daughter's Check Engine light came on while she was home from college for a few days. We went up to Napa Auto Parts hoping they could read the code. They said they couldn't, but a gentleman at the counter said he could help us over at the AAMCO shop across the street. Turns out that Stanton, the Manager of the AAMCO was in Napa looking for some parts and overheard our conversation. He was kind enough to speak up and assist! 10 minutes later we found out the issue wasn't catastrophic, was related to a repair we had done earlier this year with the gas tank sensor and were on our way. Stanton was very through in his explanation, provided the assurance we needed and didn't ask for anything in return but a review. You got it! Having seen him in action first hand, I would have no qualms about bringing a vehicle to AAMCO for repairs. Thanks Stanton!

I paid $3200 for a transmission rebuild I had to have my car towed from ammco to the chevy dealership for additional repairs ammco damaged while repairing the transmission and refused to fix costing an additional $1600. In addition to the repairs ammco did not replace 3 bell housing bolts and 1 transmission mount bolt. They also cut the ground wire resulting in a no start for the past week. Air tube bolts missing. AIR cleaner bolt missing. Found some bolts on the fender while looking for the no start problem today. Attached is a few photos of missing bolts.

We recently had our transmission go out on a 2016 Ford Escape. AAMCO saved us $1,000+ with their estimate and delivered great work. Also appreciate their attention to detail by getting us in quickly as customer service is hard to find these days. This shop is outstanding. We had some work done on my wife s car a few weeks ago, & we had such an outstanding experience with them that when I needed some stuff diagnosed on mine it was a no brained on where I wanted to take it. They just called this morning. They gave me a well explained, & honest diagnosis of what was going on as well as on another issue I ve been looking into that was separate from what I took it in for. I had to get the transmission on my 2015 Chevy Traverse rebuilt and found Stanton to be a friendly, straightforward and trustworthy person to deal with. He was backlogged for a couple weeks so he gave me some tips to keep my car moving until he was able to get me in. He answered every question my husband and I had and helped to diagnose a secondary issue, which was also resolved. The price was reasonable and like everyone else says, the service was beyond compare! Even after the repair was complete, he relied on his good relationship with the local car rental company to help me rectify an over-charge! Incredible and honest service! Went in to get my transmission inspected and Stanton was beyond helpful. He thoroughly explained the situation and took the time to provide options and recommendations. These guys get 5 STARS hands down! I HIGHLY recommend them based on the following:I went to a shop to get a quote for my muffler that had to be replaced. They told me my front brakes were at the "end of life" as well and that the rotors and pads should be replaced immediately. They also said that the steering and brake fluid had to be flushed.I wanted to get another quote so I googled mechanic near me and Stanton's Aamco popped up. I called and explained the work that needed to be done. Stanton quoted me $143 less for the muffler, $127 less for the brakes and $70 less for the fluid flush. I was happy to save $340! I dropped the car off at the end of the day. I got a call from Stanton the next morning and he explained that my front brakes were just fine and had approximately 30K of life left!? I m like what??? Even though he could have easily replaced my brakes, Stanton was honest. Apparently, the first shop WAS NOT. Stanton saved us $806! At check out, he asked if we looked on line for coupons. We did not. So, Stanton found one and applied an additional $25 off. I love that man. Honesty, much better prices and a group of friendly guys. I had my CVT Transmission rebuilt here about a year ago and I recently had my mass air flow senor, struts, and a few other things replaced here. They are 100% honest and fair priced. They even explained why the dealership wanted to charge me more for no reason. Stanton, the manger, is extremely helpful and friendly! He is always willing to go above and beyond to make sure things are right and to be helpful in other recommendations that they personally don't handle (convertible top repairs) If you are looking for a fair, honest business- look no further! I have never been disappointed with the service I receive at AAMCO. Brett is always friendly and interested in you when you call for an appointment. Stanton Martin is over the top in meeting whatever needs you may have.I routinely take my Chevy Colorado in for an oil change, and Stanton always checks tire pressure and fluid levels. When the grill of my truck was loose and needed to be secured, Stanton immediately located the parts I needed and performed the necessary service to assure my truck was safe to drive. Stanton is a phenomenal manager who is honest down to the finest details with a level of expertise for diagnosing and repairing issues rarely seen elsewhere.Purchased a used vehicle in otherwise great condition that had a squealing noise when pressing the gas pedal. Stanton looked it over after a pre-purchase inspection and found that the vehicle had the wrong size serpentine belt installed. Replaced it with the correct size and the truck runs perfectly without a hitch now, charging only $177 to get the truck in perfect working order where Dobbs had cited the wrong $2000 repair. Would never take a vehicle anywhere else.Service: Engine repair

Put in a new transmission for my Nissan Altima. The only complaint was the coolant was 1.5 gallons low when I got the car back. Took it back and they topped it off with no hassle. Good place would recommend.

We had called ahead to schedule an appointment for my teenage sons car, arrived and was greeted by Stanton Martin who gave us 5 star service and attention. He gave us a timeframe for which they would check it out and call us with an update. They called within the timeframe and had the car repaired by mid-afternoon. The price was under the original estimate, when we arrived to pick it back up, Stanton took the time to show my son the old parts and explain how they worked on the car, etc. We ve used AAMCO in the past because they do fantastic work, below cost of others and in a more timely fashion. The addition of Stanton, the service manager, just elevates the service level to 5 stars all the way around.Service: Steering & suspension repair

AAMCO is truly the best, time and time again. I moved to KC last summer with my little 2011 Corolla. Well this past weekend, I was having issues with my car. I had just replaced the battery 4 months ago, so I didn t think it could be that. I took it to Firestone, thinking it would be a minor thing. They called me back and said it would be a $1300 repair and they couldn t say if that would improve the life expectancy. They also recommended just replacing the engine entirely. My dad is friends with the store owner Brett at AAMCO in Ballwin, and Brett said it s probably the battery. I was confused because I had just gotten it replaced but he recommended that I go take my car to the AAMCO in Overland Park, KS. Turns out it WAS the battery. My battery just needed a re-charge. (My car was sitting for 3 days and knowing me, I might have left a light on or a door cracked open.) They recommended an oil change and new windshield wiper fluid.BOTTOM LINE: At this time, last night I was worried I would need to buy a new car. Today my car was fixed for $150 and I am now sitting comfortably at home with my healthy car.I CANNOT RECOMMEND AAMCO ENOUGH. They don t feed you BS. As a young, single woman this is RARE when it comes to car repairs. Thank you, Brett!!!

I had a problem with my 2016 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk and took it to a dealership who told me there were three different problems which would cost $9,300 to fix since none of it was covered under my warranty. Confused and frustrated, I took my jeep up to AAMCO for a second opinion. After looking at my car, Stanton took the extra time to explain to me everything he did step-by-step and what he found to be the issue with my jeep. He then explained what the next steps were for me to take in order for my jeep to be fixed. He explained that they could fix it there at AAMCO but they were so busy that it would be a longer wait than to take it to a different place that he had already talked to and confirmed had the correct part in stock. Long story short, Stanton's diagnosis was correct which didn't include anything the original dealership had told me. My jeep was fixed and at no cost since the correct diagnosis was covered under my warranty. I am so thankful that Stanton took the time to go above and beyond for me by explaining everything in terms I could understand and making the extra effort and phone calls to assure the process in fixing my jeep was easy and efficient. I will 100% go back to AAMCO in the future.

I was unlucky enough to have my Nissan start acting suspicious on the highway. After getting the car to my local mechanic, I was told it was probably transmission and that I would need a specialist. After calling around I was fortunate enough to talk with Stanton at AAMCO. He was in constant communication from the arrival of the car off the tow truck, to the final diagnosis.Stanton gave me a thorough reporting of their diagnostics and assured me that I would need a transmission. Once I got my warranty paperwork together and presented it to him, he took it from there. Fortunately I was covered under my warranty, but unfortunately I wasn't able to get the repair done at their location as it was a manufacturer specific warranty.I have not felt so comfortable in dealing with a very uncomfortable breakdown. I would recommend this AAMCO and specifically Stanton to ANYONE.Services: Transmission, Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic

They worked on cleaning the connections and checked all the fluids and tires for me. Fantastic shop. Brett not only knows his business but is very pleasant and easy to talk to. They repaired/rebuilt my transmission at a better price than the dealership offered and did a super solid favor for me as well.I noticed that they also provide other automotive services besides just transmissions so I will be seeing them again as needed.I highly recommend this Aamco shop to anyone needing car service.A Big thanks to Brett, Tony and Brandon.

I have a Chevy Silverado that was stuck in 4 wheel drive low during the late winter. I could not get it to shift out. Aamco got it to reset and come out of 4 wheel low. Understand, I was ready to recieve a pretty healthy bill and would have had no idea if they had told me they put parts on it. Instead they charged me...NOTHING!!! I still handed him money for the diagnostic trouble and asked him to buy lunch for his guys with it. I asked him if there was any benefit to replacing any parts to prevent it from happening again. He said he could throw parts at it if that was what I wanted but that really didn't make sense to him.Here we are 6 months later: No further problems, no charge, and fair treatment. The truck has worked perfectly and I'm honestly glad I had the problem. I now know I have a mechanic I can trust in the community.Service: General repairs & maintenance

A local auto shop damaged my transmission during a repair on my wheelchair van. The transmission was on back order from Toyota with a 12 week turn around.Stanton and his team at AAMCO worked to locate all of the parts required to rebuild my transmission and had me back on the road in less than half that time. I am dependent on this vehicle as there are not many options for wheelchair transportation. AAMCO is the best car care center. My car Chevy Cruze 2015 has P0700 and P00b7, I went to mein*** they quoted me $4673 for transmission rebuild. Luckily I went met MR.STANTON MARTIN he diagnosed it and figured the problem and replace only the thermostat and resolved my problem in just $449. I sincerely suggest AAMCO and thanks to Mr. Stanton Martin
