My weed eater (metal blades) sucked up a piece of string. The string/cord quickly wrapped around the gear. Couldn t get all of the string removed. Couldn t get the bolt off that holds everything together. Took the weed whacker to them. Five minutes later, fixed and no charge.My lawnmower will definitely make a trip there

I cannot thank the team at MacGyver's enough. I called them on the route this morning to see if they could repair my portable generator today. I live in Fairhope, AL and we where hit very hard by Hurricane Sally and are without power. My generator would not start. Some of my neighbors tried to help but to no avail. MacGyvers said to stop by and they would take a look. When I got there, they helped me take it off my truck and got started on it right away. They tested it and found the on/ off switch was bad. They ran out for the replacement. Meanwhile, they took apart the carburetor and cleaned it. They put the new switch in and tested. It started, but it did not keep running. My coil was working but could not handle a load. They broke it back down and replaced the coil. Fortunately, they had one on hand. They put it back together and started it back up. Tested the load and I'm back in service! I am back in Fairhope, generator running and refrigerator getting cold! Thank you so much!PS Please tell the dogs hi from me!

I brought our lawn mower here to be checked since it wouldn't start. This business was recommended by a neighbor. The repair was made in 24 hours and the fee was very reasonable. He made sure to tell me to use 100% gasoline since ethanol gas can cause tons of trouble for small engines.

Took my riding mower because the belt kept coming off charge me $200.00 to put the belt back on and not fix the problem I d stay away from that place

Really a horrible business. I think the owner is on drugs and only fixes items every now and then to supply his habit when he runs out. Dropped my riding mower off to have the engaging cable looked at and this guy insisted that the problem was the spindles under the deck that holds the blade. At the time I was pretty vulnerable and was going on a deployment out of country so I left it there with him to fix it. After almost 5 months later the guy finally orders the spindles and replaced them and the blades still didnt engage. By the way he still charged me $360!!! And I never got an apology or explanation of why he ripped me off. And come to find out the spindles he replaced were perfectly fine!!!

Owner could not fix my problem..but he tried anyway..he has two fat goofy friendly dogs .and a couple of rescue birds..so all around good dude...will go to him for all my small engine problems..
