Affordable Automotive was a lifesaver this weekend! I was traveling from AL to LA when my car started acting up. I was able to make it to his shop since google said they were open. They were actually closed, but Billy took the time to check out the issue and make the repair so that I was able to make it home that evening! Super grateful for his willingness to help me out even on his time off. Highly recommend!

Very good reputable automotive care. They are going to get you back on the road as quickly and as affordable as possible. And they are going to treat your vehicle like it was their own. I normally do most my own work. This time I didn t have the time or resources to do that and had to use other. This gentleman always deals with where I work. And I knew about his business and I chose to give his shop a chance to earn my future business and my recommendations to others who need Affordable Automotive Care. When my family and I were driving back from dolphin island, our car began overheating. The AC was cutting on/off, we were not sure if it was AC compressor, belt, pulleys or what.When I explained the situation, Billy said he wanted to look at it first because it may just be something simple which was the case. AC was just cutting off due to high temp to prevent it from going higher.It took a couple hours to trouble shoot and return a good quote for the job. After the job was quoted, he was able to get it repaired same day.I ve waited a while to write this review to see how the car was doing. It s been a couple months and we have had no issues with the cooling system at all. The temp stays where it s supposed and all systems working as intended. EDIT: 01-01-2023, New Service:Drove to Gulfport on 12/31 to take family and do some shopping. We only made it to first stop and noticed van would not shift out of 1st gear.Drove back on 90 to Pascagoula at 30MPH, 2800RPM. Before I left Gulfport, I contacted Billy and he said shop was closed on weekend, but if I could drop it off, he would run a diagnostic to see what it looks like.I dropped off van around 4PM yesterday and it was ready at 9am today. As with most shops, he wasn t comfortable dropping pan and messing with fluid on a transmission neither of us have history on, as are most shops. At that point it was already not working right so any positive result would be better than what we had currently.To be honest, neither of us know how it will act moving forward, but that is no reflection on his service. When researching this vehicle I knew they were notorious for transmission issues and we drove it a year without issues prior to this experience.Vehicle runs and drives solid. If I didn t know it had an issue yesterday, I wouldn t even know today. I also wasn t expecting it to be done so soon due to holiday weekend. He said he put a rush on it because he knew I have kiddos with appointments and this is the only vehicle we can rely on as I drive our other vehicle 5-7 days a week to Theodore and back.I ve been in the area for 5 years now and left a family of mechanics when doing so. I have been without a mechanic I could count on since then. I am 110% confident that if I need help, he will be there to support me. EDIT (Dem2023):Year later and transmission still working as it should. Needed help today to track down headlight short in minivan and replace water pump on 03 Tahoe.As always, service was fast and friendly. Price for job was quoted ahead of time and ready when I was told it would be done.

I would rate this shop 0 stars if it would let me. I brought my 2010 Toyota Tacoma in for an oil change and that s it. By the time they were finished with it i had an engine that was knocking and my transmission was slipping. They drained my transmission fluid thinking it was the oil drain plug. They stripped my oil drain plug and it was leaking terribly. They shorted the oil by 3 quarts and never put any transmission fluid in that they drained out. So needless to say. I had to buy a new vehicle. They refused to pay for the damages they did on my Tacoma. Something as simple as an oil change and you re too incompetent to do that without destroying my truck. Do NOT trust these people with your vehicle. Do NOT make the same mistake I made.

One of the best shops around in my opinion. The owner is very friendly and handles his business well. Price is amazing and the work him and his crew do blows any other mechanic out of the water. Me and my family have been bringing our cars here for years now and we wont be going to any other shop.

I have brought my vehicle multiple times to have work done. The owner does a fantastic job. I haven't had an issue after having it fixed. I was on my way home from FL to TX and my car decided that it was gonna start acting up. So I pulled into a gas station and called around to a couple of shops that said they were open on a Sunday. Affordable Automotive was actually closed but they said to go ahead and come on in, so they could help me get back on the road! They were able to help me get back on the road after fixing the issue with my vehicle!! I m super grateful for these gentleman that helped on their day off!!

My dad took my car here to get the ball joint fixed and they didn t tighten the nut or something because it fell off going down Saracena 2 days later. I had my baby in the backseat and it was very scary. Very bad experience.Service: Steering & suspension repairService: Steering & suspension repair

He's awesome. Very honest and very helpful. He will be my mechanic. He fixed my van and did an amazing job. I would highly recommend him. He came to my house and picked my van up. They are awesome. They were willing to take time out of their day to come help us with our car not starting in the grocery store parking lot, with kids and perishable food in the car. They were able to diagnose the issue quickly and get our car running. Will definitely be going back to them in the future.

Mr. Billy is a mechanic that has perfected his craft, I went to his shop with electrical issues and he work with me, was very understanding, and got the job done and a surprisingly timely manner. He is very good at explaining issues where you can get a good understanding if you know nothing about vehicles. And I liked that he explained to me what he was going to do before he did it. This place welcomed me at one of the most emergency times while I was on the road. I am so thankful that they chose to fix my brakes on Easter holiday when everyone else were closed. Ordered and replaced two gas tank sensors; replaced a dry-rotted hose - and filled it with gas to make sure it was working properly. All in two days. Great service - well done.
