I had no idea where to take my car for new brakes and found Thompson Auto Repair on Google, read the reviews and decided to take a chance on them and I'm so glad I did! Very professional and friendly. They had my car ready when promised. Price was very affordable too. I would highly recommend!

This was the absolute best experience I've had with local auto care. I brought my truck in with an oil sensor problem. They had the truck ready as promised and when I called and added a plug change, it was "Yes Sir, we will get that done". Professional from drop off to pickup. Thompson Auto Repair has won my business. If you are looking for a well established shop that puts the customer first, I would highly recommend giving TAR a shot to earn your trust. They will be my first call going forward.

Awesome!! They did my crank shaft relearn at a very reasonable price especially in comparison to the manufacturers dealership it was absurd! They had me in and out in less than 10 minutes. Something I was told would be at least an hour. My check engine light which had been on for months is finally gone! Will be back if I need anything else!

Went there to get a broken and stuck spark plug out of my engine, they told me that it may take a day to get it out, but after speaking to them and letting them know that I rely on my car to get to work every day, they sympathized with me and got my car running in under 3 hours, even gave me a price less than the estimate that they suggested on the phone, they are skilled, respectful, understanding and very professional, definitely will use again if I have car problems in the future, and will recommend to any resident or visitor of Meridian, Thank Y all for being Awesome!!

I would highly recommend Thompson Auto Repair. These guys are humble, professional, knowledgeable and super nice! I called and they had me in and out in a day. These are my guys if I need a mechanic!

Great business and people! Had issues with my car as I was out of town at the time. They had the issue diagnosed very quickly, and repaired for me the next day. I will only be using them for any needs when I m in town for work again. I absolutely recommend this shop for repairs. We were traveling through Meridian on the way home which was at least another four hours away. I noticed the alternator light had come on and I felt like it needed immediate attention. We fortunately Goggled shops and Thompson Auto Repair had great reviews. We called them about 2:30 and they told us to stop by and they would check it. They actually replaced the alternator as we waited and we were on the road soon. The price of repair was very fair and the personnel were extremely nice and knowledgeable. I wish they were in my hometown.

So we were traveling from Nashville to New Orleans last night and the interior lights and exterior lights went out while driving on the freeway. Managed to make it to Livingston AL where we got a hotel. I searched for repair shops in Meridian (closest city) and found Thompsons. Always a risk picking a new place. AAA towed us to Thompson's. Randy and Randy could not have been any more pleasant and honest. Been around for 40 years. We were up and running in less than an hour. I cannot say enough good about these guys. This was the most outstanding mechanic experience I ve ever had. I was traveling cross country when my alternator started to go. I called them up in the morning and I was back on the road by noon, no BS, no gouging me because of the need. These gentlemen do business the right way, the old fashion way based on respect in service. Don t waste time with others call Thompson first!

Highly recommendHe did an amazing job with my truck!!My truck died in the middle of the road had to be towed and I brought it to this auto repair, in less than 5 minutes he knew what was wrong with my truck! The best part is that he did and effort to do a quick repair cause I still had a long road ahead, also was very polite.If your car/truck died in the road or either you only need a simple tune up, this place is for you!

We traveling home to Baton Rouge after vacationPulling our 5th Wheel when something went wrong with our big dodge Ram 250 2018We where stranded the town and Thompson took awesome care of us even though they were busy the had us back on the road within 24hrThe owners and his sons I can t say enough about just great southern hospitalityAnd they did not try and over charge us even though we were in a pickleThanks again

Best mechanic in Meridian. The floors were spotless and all tools were in their place. Randy was friendly and actually listened to my concerns about my van. He also fixed the problem that was misdiagnosed by AutoZone scan and my van was fixed lickety split. Thanks so much.

I would HIGHLY recommend Randy and his mechanics to anyone looking for automotive services. I needed to have my engine head rebuilt and I was worried I wouldn't be able to have my car running as well as it had been before my car issue. Randy talked with me about what he would do and I felt much better trusting him with my car. In the end the repair was done right and at a VERY fair price. Thanks Randy!

Took my 1999 F250 SD to them after being thoroughly jerked around by Magnolia Auto. Randy had me fixed and on the road under budget and ahead of schedule. I can't thank him enough for the timely and HONEST service. I only wish everyone had their integrity.

We were passing through town on a 13 hour drive when check engine light came on. They squeezed us in at 4 pm on Friday and diagnosed our problem. Gave us the comfort to keep going safely. I would recommend this auto shop to everyone. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I am always well pleased with the work they do whenever they work on my vehicle. They are very knowledgeable in the work that they do and they are very reasonable with the price of their labor.

Tried to call and schedule appointment (after hours). Thankful for an answer, but revieved a "Hello." I asked if this is Thompson Auto Repair & got a yes, we're closed but still working, what do u need. In disagreement (my opinion) of an unprofessional encounter over the phone, I chose not to conduct business with the company at this time.
