Worst mechanic I ve ever dealt with! No communication, terrible customer service, doesn t know what they are doing! Also, told me if I took this review down would pay for the attorney fee that was accumulated because they had our vehicle towed without giving us any heads up. Then had the nerve to contact another mechanic shop and bad mouth us when it was their mistake in the beginning!! Not to mention told us at first it was a battery was definitely not.. guess they were trying to do a quick fix and hope it worked!! paid almost $500 for this battery and they took our battery out before having it towed!!! Do not use this mechanic shop!!!! I will be contacting a lawyer! Have emails and receipts!!Update got my battery back and went to put it in guess they decided to just keep the thing that holds the battery in place and my car was missing a side mirror which was there when we took the car in!!!

Once again, the guys at MMW have taken excellent care of our X3. We had an emergency cooling system issue on July 2, and had it towed to the shop. They assessed the issue, got the parts ordered, and got it road ready -- even while short-handed, during a holiday week. Went ahead and had them do a few other scheduled maintenance items while it was there. Running great, once again.

Madison Motor Werks is by far the most superior auto repair shop in the area. The excellent customer service, the high quality repair work and the honesty of this shop has made me a forever loyal customer. The owner, general manager and service reps go above and beyond to keep me informed while my car is in the shop and to make sure my experience is top notch. They honestly recommend service and won t commit to a repair unless it is truly warranted. The cost of the repair was much less than the other quotes I had received. They even have loaner vehicles! I wish I could give them 10 stars!!Service: Auto maintenance

Took my MINI here because they specialize in this make. The check engine light was on. They charged me $126 to tell me that I needed spark plugs and coils replaced. If they had done the repair, my total was going to be over $700 DO YOU HEAR ME. My uncle did the job. He showed me how accessible the plugs were and told me I didn't even need the coils.It's an absolute shame that they were willing to do this to me.I feel certain that had my uncle been with me that day, I would have gotten a much different estimate.

We took our VW GTI to have maintenance performed on the transmission. We spoke with the Service Advisor Ben. He took care of all our needs and in addition they provided a loaner car to use while our car was in the shop.The shop was very clean and organized as well. Sorry to report but stay away if your car is even lightly modified! Though the people are friendly, my issues went unresolved. I had lots noise coming from aftermarket suspension, and after MM not being able to locate the cause, I was given the option to spend a lot more money to find the problem. Instead, I took the car to another local shop, and they had the car fixed within 3 hours for a fraction of the cost.Service: Steering & suspension repair

Dropped the car in here because it was running hot. They kept it for over a week. I paid Madison Motor Werks $3,600 for the repair bill as soon as they said it was ready for pick. Picked up the car. Two days after picking it up, the car was still running hot. It's as if they didn't repair anything. Waiting for a response.

My engine light was on and they were able to get me an appointment in a timely manner. I was given a detailed breakdown of what needed to be done urgently and what could wait.I appreciated that they took the time to explain. I brought my vehicle in because it was time for an oil change and the air wasn t blowing very cold. When I picked it up I was told I had a minor oil leak and some parts would eventually need to be replaced. I was also told the a/c just needed some Freon and they had added some.Within two days, the air started blowing hot. Very hot. I brought it back and was told the diagnostic showed a problem with the temperature sensor, but that the whole unit would need to be replaced because the compressor had been torn up in the two days of me running it since they d put Freon in. Why the temperature sensor issue hadn t been caught on the first visit? I have no idea. They quoted me $3500 to replace compressor and temperature sensor. Mind you, the compressor is a $300 part and the sensor about $25. I passed.A couple weeks later, my check engine oil light came on. I checked the oil level and it was nearly bone dry. This was peculiar to me since I d been told the leak was minor and I ve never noticed any oil under my car wherever I park. I went and bought some oil at Wal-Mart and filled it myself. Six months later and the oil levels are still high and no evidence of a leak. I m choosing to believe a technician just forgot to put the oil in after they drained it, but a cynic might wonder if the whole thing was purposefully designed to get me to come back and do a bunch of unnecessary work.Either way, they ve lost me as a customer. My experience is that Madison Motor Werks has been able to repair my car when I've had issues. But, the cost is extremely high relative to competition. I had a fairly major repair yesterday for which they did discount their price about 10% after I mentioned price. But, even after the discount, it was still about 20% more than a competitor with whom I checked the price after I'd already left it with Madison Motor Works. After they completed this repair, they noticed a coolant leak and called to get an authorization from me to repair that issue and quoted me a price at "cost" - that still seemed high to me. At this point, I decided to go get the car and take it to a competitor. Turns out, the MMW price was in the range of double the cost of the competitor - which would have cost me an additional several hundred dollars. I have used MMW for convenience as they are really close to my home. But, the cost has driven me to use another service. It is just unreasonably priced relative to competitors - local shops as well as the dealer.Service: Auto maintenance

I was given an appointment within 24 hours- it took about 2-3 weeks to get one at my previous repair shop. I was given a clear explanation of the problem and what needed to be fixed. A thorough evaluation of the car (Lexus 460 LS) was done prior to this, and I was informed about upcoming repairs I would need. The staff were all very cordial and professional. The waiting area was clean. I was provided a ride back to my home and was picked up after the service was completed- about 6 hours later . The manager gave me a discount even though I forgot to bring my discount flyer. My car has been running smoothly since then. Above all, I felt that the manager did not try to fix or sell me something that was not broken . I highly recommend this place.Services: Brakes, Oil change

Overall, a very good experience with the oil and filter change on my import! Very convenient location for me. A good value with the mailer coupon they sent me. No issues experienced! The staff at Madison Motor Werks are very helpful, knowledgeable and fair. The last time I was in, I was quoted one price when I brought my car in, and I got a call later that day saying it was $500 less! Being a single mom, that is greatly appreciated. In my experience with auto repair it usually cost more than expected. Bonus benefit when you choose this shop, they also have loaner cars!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Brakes, Oil change

They lied to my extended warranty company saying my car had rust and corrosion. Tried to charge me 1k for a fuel pump lying saying it was leaking badly and that it wasn t safe to drive. I took it to midas and they said it was just a seal, and claimed there wasn t a leak, and charged me $140. MMW scams and rips people off. I don t recommend it. Their boss is very unprofessional. I don t recommend them at all. Terrible orientation. Don t waste your time. Big boy in the office likes to get loud at his customers over the phone as well.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I had an excellent customer service experience; the staff was professional, friendly, and helpful. This is a very well managed business. My car was running beautifully when I left and still is weeks later. All aspects of my car were checked and taken care of thoroughly. They went above and beyond my expectations. Thank you MMW!

I used the local Land Rover dealer for several years and once discovering this wonderful place, I will never go back! Their work is excellent on Land Rovers and other foreign vehicles. The team is honest and has your best interest. Madison Motorwerks replaced the adaptive headlight assembly in my Audi A6. Although this was an expensive part, Brent and Steven worked with me in finding the best price on the part. They quickly repaired my car and had it back to me as scheduled. I highly recommend Madison Motorweks for any vehicle maintenance or repair. They communicate clearly the issues, what the repair will be, and accurately quote the total price so you are not blindsided with an unexpected higher bill.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I d had my 2001 BMW Z3 Roadster for about 4 years and it needed to have a major check up! Madison did an amazing job on all repairs needed and my car has been running GREAT ever since!
