Room was inviting. It gave a flipped hotel and stuck Marriott name on it. Paint chipping all through the room, textured paint on all walls, toilet rocking in bathroom, shower would not stop dripping, 2-3 ants spotted everyday. Not a good experience, I was in town for work.Rooms: Non updated rooms.

I don't have space to write everything but BELIEVE the reviews! I had to change rooms because the handicap shower water ran out all over the floor from bad shower rod.The shower head actively leaks behind the granite tile.i moved to another room and the shower head has a constant fast drip. The bed was comfy. The construction crew worked next door all night w their music. No breakfast. Over riped banana and apple offered. It's being remodeled so wait! Staff was very nice considering what they dealing with.

Tried calling for over an hour otw into town- was out on hold once, and then the phone was never picked up after that.Got here and they said the elevators are down, and they only have rooms on the third floor. Had they answered the phone I would have known and could have rebooked a room before 1am.Just wanted to watch some tv after a long drive and the power button is the only working button on the remote.Water stains on the floor, just overall, very unpleasant.Long story short- just stay somewhere else.

If I could leave a negative... Room #105, flee infested!! We arrived late at 8pm and I woke up at 4am to a rash on all exposed skin (massive red/swollen itchy bumps). Went immediately to the front desk, nobody there. Girl with pink ear muffs was out in her car in the covered valet area and not at the desk. Finally waved in, she clearly smelled of marijuana. I explained the issue and how filthy the room was (stained and soiled carpet). She said "I got you" when I asked for a refund because I was leaving as soon as I could rinse the bugs off. After 2 weeks of following up, they did not refund anything.(Wish I took a pic of the disgusting stained carpets). Marriott should be ashamed to be associated with this place.

Not enough characters to tell how bad my experience was. This marriott is nasty. My room was changed 3 times. Once the bathroom door was locked and they couldn't unlock it. Another time the moved me to a room that was already occupied. Asia, night manager, was rude and unprofessional. I requested a refund and was told no. Do not stay hereRooms: Dirty and run down.

DO NOT BOOK. VERY OLD ROOMS. The ceiling in my room looked like it was repaired but looked like it was about to cave in. There were stains on the carpet and bedding along with multiple holes in the wall. The final straw was large roaches!!!! We checked out within an hour of entering the room. The guest service clerk offered no help and didn't care to listen to the complaint. Her response was we have cancelled your room. We had to search for late night accomadations at nearly midnight. I have not heard back from Marriott yet but I have emailed a complaint. I do not recommend this property. This id not the typical Marriot...DO NOT BOOK. DISGUSTING!!!

This hotel is being renovated but right now it s horrible, and the rooms are not cheap. Like other reviews have stated there are stains on the carpet, lots of broken doors, smells weird etc. but the staff is nice. The other thing I didn t like is the restaurant and fitness center are both closed during the remodel, but this was not stated when I made the reservation.

An up-and-coming Marriott property with exceptional new management.Location: Located off County Line Rd in Ridgeland, Mississippi, the location offers plenty of shopping and food options within a short drive. For those interested in going for a walk, there are residential neighborhoods nearby, although care should be taken as crime can be rather high in Hinds County, especially at night.Property Condition: In the middle of a much-needed renovation, this hotel is very much showing its age. Significant improvements have been made in the previous two months, although there are still areas that will benefit from the scheduled renovations. After a solid renovation and with continuous love from a good engineering department, this could be the best Marriott property in town.Cleanliness: The lobby is clean and smells great upon entry. There were no cleanliness issues with our recent stay. This is a far improvement from six months ago.Food/Drink: For the first time in almost two years of staying here, the Bistro was open, staffed, and clean. The gentleman working the Bistro was polite, professional, and attentive. The food was bistro-style, and the wine was perfect after a long day.Staff Interaction: The front desk staff is exceptionally pleasant and really seems to care about providing a wonderful experience. Upon taking over the property a couple months ago, the staff recognizes they have a lot of work to bring this property up to standard, and you can tell they re trying hard.Overall: Previously one of the worst Marriott properties in town, this hotel is under new management, and the future looks bright. Because renovations are ongoing and the previous poor reputation, prices are still very reasonable (sub $100/night if you re lucky) for this property. The highlight of this hotel is the new staff. They all genuinely seem committed to making this an outstanding hotel, and it s refreshing to see such a pleasant team working together. If you would like a comprehensive, independent audit of your hotel property from a professional traveler with over 4,000 lifetime hotel nights in, feel free to message me directly.

I would NEVER RECOMEND this hotel. Rude, disrespectful and unprofessional staff behavior. I was greeted by an extremely rude young lady named Ms. Hana Gladnay. After getting to my room I noticed the TV didn t work so I called her front desk and was told that they would fix it when they finished cleaning rooms then hung up. I called back to ask when would that be and was hung up on without any provocation. I then went to the front desk to ask in person whe would someone be available and was told she had no idea. I asked for a refund and was told to call the manager because she wasn t going to do it. Avoid the frustration and spend you $150.00 someplace that cares about your business.

This hotel is definitely under construction (remodeling) so if you don't mind stained rugs, older rooms, no washer/dryer (plumbing issues), no gym, no onsite ATM, and the fact that half of the hotel is off-limits due to the construction, then you'll be okay here. I've been here for 5 days and I don't really have any complaints outside of what I've listed above. The ongoing construction noise is at a minimum during the day and non-existent at night. If you need to wash your clothes, the Marriott Residence Inn is close by or you can do like me and use the Drop Off Service at the Keyway Supersudz Coin Laundry off I-55 (5 minute drive). Don't worry, it's in a safe area. The Courtyard Bistro is open inside the hotel and is very good. I had their Avocado Toast in the morning and it's excellent. On the bright side, it's conveniently located to a ton of restaurants and Target, Starbucks, Whataburger to name a few as well as direct access to I-55.

ZERO STAR REVIEW!! (unfortunately Google doesn t let you do less than one)Don t let the pictures fool you!! The rooms are falling apart and I would argue that a gas station restroom is cleaner than the room I stayed at. If you are stopping at Jackson do yourself a favor, and sleep on a parking lot, you ll find more comfort than this hotel.

Do not waste your time or money. The food and breakfast bars were closed my entire stay. I asked for more towels and housekeeping refused to provide additional towels. We only received two towels for our stay. I tried to speak with management for about two months but no return calls. This hotel doesn't seem to meet Marriott accommodations. It was awful. We went there to attend a funeral but had no idea about the experience

What a dump! A/C barely works, toilet won't stop running, smells of bad weed. TV channels mismatched. Couldn't find NBC after two times through so can watch Bills/Bengals. Called to desk and they had no idea which one is the proper channel.I get this place is renovating, but Marriott should take a long, serious look at the hospitality group that owns this location. Might be time to move on. This unit is a disgrace to the brand.

My wife and I spent one night in this hotel. The customer service was very friendly and professional. The room was updated and comfortable. The location was excellent. We usually pick a location when we return to an area and this will be our location.Rooms: The rooms are comfortable and modern.Walkability: This location was walking distance to a few nice restaurants.

This location is very dated. Very run down. Approaching the room wreeked of Marijuana. The room smelled very bad, like mildew. There was an open condom and the floor. Cigarette burn marks on the carpet. The light bulb in the bedside lamp didn'twork or the bulb was blown. Part of the tv frame was broken off. Not sure what type of bug but looked like a roach on the carpet. I checked out immediately. I couldn't stay there for one night. 11/24/2023

I would recommend to stay away from staying at this hotel. I used it because It belongs the the Marriot chain but their service and facilities are not at the level they are supposed to. It was a terrible experience from the check in to finding the rooms dirty ( bathtub had dirty rags and towels in it, rolls of toilet paper empty and no shampoo), coffee maker wasn't working, I came in late and the front desk person had the audacity to tell me that she was doing something in the system and that if I wanted to check in I had to wait at least 45 min. It was 2 am in the morning and after driving 12 hours it was completely unacceptable, especially after checking in via the app earlier in the day. The whole experience was awful!Rooms: They are dirty and look more like a motel than a hotel.

This was the worst hotel i ever stayed at. The hotel room had ants i booked a king suite they gave me three decorative pillows and a pillowcase that probably equals one full pillow. They switch my room twice because the TV didn t work and one the AC didn t work and one. When I went to complain, there was other guests complaining of the same issues. The best thing about this hotel was that the manager went out, got food to serve breakfast. The pool water was green and to top it off they charge me for my sweet twice when I called to justify the situation one guy who claim to be a manager hung up the phone I spoke to six different people. This hotel is a disgrace to carry the Marriott name I would ve had a better stay at the super 8. We went down to ask for more towels. They told us to go bag, our bed towels up and bring them down to get more towels. I stayed there three nights in my room didn t get service once if you ask me, shut the whole hotel down it sucked.

Not good. I booked this room months in advance. When we arrived, we check in to realize our room was given away. We requested a king suite. As we entered the room it was not clean food left on the counter. We notified staff checked into a different room with the same issue. Double bed and dirty room. The third and final room we checked into still wasn't a king suite. But was actually clean. The following day, The hotel couldn't prove extra clean towels. The staff was nice but that was the only good thing about this experience.

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at; my family and I ended up checking out early. This location doesn t deserve the name Marriott but the name Ridgeland Inn would be more appropriate. Let me explain: the carpets were dirty, the elevator and hallway smelled like marijuana. We told the front desk and ended up having to buy cleaning supplies and spray ourselves. The rooms smelled horrible, and the bathroom had hairs on the floor. We sprayed and cleaned the entire room. The toilet was broken; lucky for me I m handy because I fixed it. We didn t have enough towels, and it was an act of congress to get more. The work out room was closed for some reason, and there was broken beer bottles outside next to the trash can. I did not feel welcome or valued. I m not one to complain but this was ridiculous; I usually can adapt to any situation but I could not endure it any longer while watching my family suffer. If they give you a room for free, don t take it because this place is poorly managed. I m sorry, I can t think of anything good to say about this place except it s convenient location. Never again!!!!

Front desk ladies... AWESOME. Respectful, professional, and very understanding. The location is good. All kinds of restaurants are nearby, but the property itself could use some lighting for a safer exterior appeal. The hotel is under renovation. Everyone needs an upgrade from time to time. Gave the room a one-star, but those issues will be discussed with management. If you're just looking for a place to rest your head for a night, the room will work. At the moment, I wouldn't recommend it for a longer stay. Maybe after the rooms are renovated, it'd be worth it. But again, big ups to the ladies at the front. I'm sure they deal with a lot of rude people, but seem to alwasy be respectful and professional themselves.

The employee at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful as well as professional. Though I got to my room and smelled horrendous. Then went to shower and need up having to clean the bathroom prior to using it. The shower had no water pressure. Carpets nasty it was all the way around disgusting. Not real happy with the stay at all. Pretty ghetto fabulous place. The morning employees are about as rude an unhelpful as they can get also.

I've stayed at Courtyards all over the country and never had a bad experience previously, but this one is something else.First room had a nasty stain on the bedding and open box of condoms in the dresser.Kids were supposed to sleep on the pullout sofa, but we folded it out to find more condoms and a filthy mattress. They moved us to another room that wasn't exactly clean, but was better.DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

When we arrived to our first floor room the floor was soaking wet in the hall (which is carpet) with a wet floor sign. We entered the room and the smell was AWFUL. When I say awful I mean AWFUL. I have babies so I went to the front desk with my concerns the front-desk lady got out of her car (that was parked under the awning for guests) she told me they didn't have "any rooms available". After about 30 minutes I received a call that we could move rooms! We went to the third floor and we traded our two bed room for a single bed with pullout sofa and it was gross. Food all on the sofa bed, carpet is awful through out the entire hotel & we didn't even try sticking around for breakfast. DO NOT STAY HERE. The only positive was the location but this place needs a MAJOR remodel!

Turn around! Don t even waste your time going to this hotel. This is the worst Courtyard I ve ever seen in my life. Floors are filthy, walls are dirty, lamp shades have black mold on them. Marriott needs to close this place up for a total refresh and remodel. The motel 6 would have been better. Turn around! Find another hotel!!!Rooms: Gross
