This place is FANTASTIC! I went there for a second opinion after the crooked Nissan dealership told me my transmission needed to be replaced for $6,000. Thank goodness I did that, because AAMCO found that there was not one thing wrong with my transmission. If you want an honest & highly competent car shop that s reasonably priced, this is the place to go! They also work on other car issues besides transmission.

I had just moved to Jackson and my truck was transported and arrived before I got there. When I got there my truck was barely driving and I thought it was the transmission. I brought it to Will and he ran all the checks and did everything to make sure my truck was okay. He was able to figure everything out including that it wasn't my transmission, and got my truck driving back to normal! Suffice to say Will and Aamco is amazing and the customer service was top tier. I will never go anywhere else

I was concerned when the check engine light on my 2004 Ford F-150 came on. Trying to find a reputable mechanic is not an easy task. On the suggestion of a friend, I had the engine light checked at AAMCO. I was warmly greeted by Melissa and I dropped off my truck. About an hour later Melissa called and said my truck was ready. Mack checked the engine light and found the transmission to be in good shape with no problems. No charge for checking the engine light. I appreciate the honesty, courtesy and professionalism displayed by Mack and Melissa at AAMCO. He suggested that I have Car Care Clinic on Highway 51 N troubleshoot the engine light.Service: Transmission

Will at AAMCO Jackson provided me with the best customer service experience I've ever had. They've certainly made a lifelong customer of me. I was traveling out-of-state last week when my van started to have trouble. I immediately pulled off the interstate and drove to the nearest repair shop which was a well-known, national chain. The work they did on my van was extremely overpriced and faulty. When I returned home, I took my van to Will at AAMCO. Not only did he fix the faulty work that the other shop had done, he also contacted them to make sure there was no expense for me. If that wasn't impressive enough, he also repaired some items that the other shop had overlooked. Will and AAMCO Jackson are the best. I would give them 6 stars if possible.Services: Transmission, Steering & suspension repair

Oh man the service me and my wife received by Will and his staff at Aamco was the absolute best. We took our Lexus in and unfortunately had to get a another Transmission. I'm a repeat client also from several years ago on another vehicle. This time around as last time was great experience. Will kept us update the entire time and made sure we were satisfied. The price was not bad at all for the work we needed done. I was greeted with a smile from Will and the nice nice lady at the front desk I forgot her name. My wife is a Realtor and her car is her Business. Will had are car ready in a better than expected time frase. This my friend is how customer service should be I actually felt like I was at Chick Fila lol the service even for a Transmission job was just like that excellent. My truck was experiencing unexplained loss of power. Will identified a control module code as the cause and power was restored when code was cleared. The reviews of AAMCO is the reason why I brought my car here. The professionalism and timing was great. I dropped my car off on a Friday morning and the problem was diagnosed within a couple of hours.They installed all three mounts quickly and I had my car back Monday morning because the parts had to be ordered. The price was reasonable and I will do business with them again. Great customer service in a timely matter with well experienced mechanics that solved my problem.

Will, the service mgr was courteous and commented well as the repair plan unfolded. He went the extra mile to insure that my repair warranty was honored, saving me nearly $2000 (Whew! ) and maximized efficiency to get my car back to me in time for Thanksgiving travel. Nobody wants to need transmission work, but if you do, this is the place to go.

Will did a full diagnoses of my engine and breaks after hearing a noise coming from the front end. Fixed and repaired the issue and the truck is running better than before. My Ford Explorer 5-speed manual transmission started having transmission problems at the end of May 2012. I took it to AAMCO because they specialize in transmissions. I ended up having to have my transmission rebuilt. The service was completed in a timely fashion; I dropped it off on Friday am and it was done by Tuesday afternoon. There were a few things that still needed adjusting afterward, but I took it back and they fixed all of them right away. Despite not being able to pick up my vehicle before they closed due to traveling for work, they were very accommodating and took my credit card payment over the phone and then locked my keys in the car so I could pick it up after hours.Fast forward to the end of October (6 months later) and my transmission starts to exhibit the exact same symptoms as last time. I took it back again and the same part failed. Despite not being under warranty anymore because I had driven too many miles, they were able to work with me and get it fixed. I was not charged for the part this time, only labor.I also had the pleasure of dealing with the owner Mack. He was great to work with and made sure that all of my issues and concerns were addressed and that everything was fixed to my satisfaction. I would definitely use their services again and would recommend them to others.

Other than the back window being left down and a panel below the steering wheel left out, I would have to recommend this service. The car runs better than before I put it in for service. Will and his team did a great job. I was quoted $8000+ by the local dealer, which said that the entire drivetrain of my SUV needed to be replaced (transmission, front and rear differentials). I took it to AAMCO for a second opinion. They tested it, drove it, examined it on the lift in the shop, and all the other tests they could and found no significant issues besides for low fluid in one of the differentials. They filled it, charged me a fair price for the diagnostic and the fluid, and I drove it home. I'll always take my cars to them.Services: Transmission, Auto engine diagnostic

The entire experience was excellent. Mr. Will took GREAT CARE of me and my car!! They kept me updated and let me know every move that was made on my car, checking with me before just going ahead and doing things I would have to be charged for in the end. And his price was Very reasonable!!! I will definitely recommend to family and friends.Service: Transmission

I was told by a mechanic that I had a possible rear main oil seal leak in my Infiniti G35 and took it to Will to do a Engine Diagnostic and repair if necessary, to my surprise I didn't have a leak and he had the car for 3 hours and he told me earlier that it would be 115.00 and hour for doing it, so I was prepared to pay over 300.00 for it, when Will call me and gave me the good news about the leak, he gave me some more good news, he wasn't going to charge me for Diagnostic. Could not believe it. Hope and pray I won't ever need his services but if I do he will be the first one I call. Great guy, I just wish they would open a shop in Flowood.Thanks again Will.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Best in town. Very honest, quick, and reliable. Went to two other mechanics before being referred to AAMCO. Will, the Manager/Owner helped me out and got me back on the road when no other place could. Repair was relatively inexpensive without sacrificing quality. AAMCO has repaired seven of my vehicles in the past 10 years. These have been high millage business trucks, suburbans, and one Infinity Q-45. All required complete transmission and other major engine work. Most of my vehicles have over 100,000 miles on them at the time of the needed repairs. These repairs were done on time on budget and without any problems or extra charges. The staff is very knowledgeable and they know how to treat their customers. I take my cars and trucks there for minor repairs as well as total transmission rebuilds. I like the fair prices and the fact the work in done right the first time. They will advise if future work may be needed so as to allow you time to schedule such work when it is convenient. My car is always returned without a trace of dirt or grease. Their attention to details makes AAMCO of Jackson my first and only choice for all my automotive needs. My friends agree and they too take their cars and trucks where customer service is not a word...its a way of doing business.. The difference in auto repair shops is unknown..until you pick the wrong one... Trust the Lowery family to fix it right..and at a fair price... Robert Archer

The transmission on my 2010 GMC Yukon XL recently failed with over 150,000 miles on it. The vehicle simply came to a complete stop and wouldn't go into forward or reverse. AAMCO diagnosed the transmission failure, rebuilt the transmission, installed a heavy-duty torque converter, replaced the rear main seal, and had my vehicle up and running again. Very happy with the service work performed. Would use AAMCO again!Service: Transmission

I took my car to them on Monday, they ordered my parts, fixed my car and had it ready by Friday, so awesome:) Not only was the staff friendly over the phone, but they were also friendly in person. They saved me lots of money compared to this other company that automatically quoted me $3,000.00 without looking at my vehicle. I needed a second opinion for a bad CVT Transmission so I decided to go by AAMCO. Long story short, I arrived later in the day and they were busy. They didn t have to help me that same day and could ve told me they would look at my car the next day but they didn t. They were generous enough to diagnose my car the same day and and told me what my best options were. Customer Service is awesome and this place has integrity. You can t say that about a lot of places now a days.

I have had 5 different vehicles serviced multiple times in the last 10 years. They have always performed quality service at very,very competitive prices. The staff is very friendly and has always gone out of their way to give me and my family outstanding service. I would highly recommend Briarwood AAMCO to everyone for transmission service, as well as a variety of other auto repair/maintenance needs. No job is too small and they always treat us like family.

Great experience with the AAMCO location in Jackson. This was our first experience dealing with a transmission issue and Will/Dennis did a great job detailing everything throughout the entire process. Originally gave me 2 quotes depending on what they found once they removed the pan but actually wound up being cheaper than either of those quotes. Would highly recommend this shop to anyone.
