I was advised to take my car to AAMCO to diagnose a shuddering issue. The man who assisted me in the beginning asked that I bring the car back and drop it off either on Tuesday or Wednesday so his boss could drive it and narrow down the cause. He said it would be ready either that day or the next. I did that and called a few minutes before they closed. The man who answered was a different man and was either irritable/tired or just rude. He said it would likely be another couple of days which, though I was happy, wasn t the main issue. I knew I would need my car, so I asked about picking it up. He said he just leave the key somewhere in it (a push button start car left unlocked near Shenanigans -___-)I asked that he leave it in or under something outside.I arrived to an unlocked car with the key sitting on the floor mat. Maybe I m overreacting, but that day was an especially frustrating experience for me.I call later on because my check engine light finally came on.I asked a couple of questions about the code and potential timelines or prices that I could try to plan around. His response was condescending, and, while I understand some questions can t be answered until further info is provided, there is a better way to handle customer questions.**I ve since called the other location and been met with polite and helpful employees, thankfully.

They took care of the problem; but, took two weeks to do it. Apparently, the man who does injectors only works two times aWeek. Perhaps. It is time to hire more help?

As far as transmission work I don t know. However, don t make the same mistake I made, buying a used car from a transmission shop!! I was lied to about the floorboard being freshly shampooed when it was the heater core leaking coolant into the cab of the truck..

This place is great. Will and Gage are so honest and professional. Vic great mechanic. I had my camper van break down while crossing the country in June with all my pets and was stuck there for 6 days (over a weekend and then time while they found parts and rebuilt my transmission). Very hospitable and let me stay in my camper on their lot use their truck etc. While crossing back across the country a few months later there were still some issues with my transmission, they figured it out, went over and beyond to replacing/rebuilding the whole transmission kit again even though all they had to do was replace a valve and a band that were not working properly. Additionally they also replaced some electrical parts at no charge and honored their warranty with the transmission. Can't say enough about this outfit in their honesty, fairness and professionalism along with southern hospitality.

We took a vehicle to this place to have it checked out because of mechanical issues. After 2 weeks of the vehicle being at this place, George Clark said it had NO transmission issues, but needed the water pump, air filter, and plugs and wires replaced. We agreed to have those services done on the vehicle. After about another 2 weeks of the vehicle being in possession of this place, suddenly the transmission had a problem, according to George Clark. All together, the vehicle was in their possession for over a month, which is outrageous within itself. We were GROSSLY overcharged for the services rendered, $636.01 to be exact, and the vehicle now runs WAY WORSE than it did when we first took it to them. George Clark is a ripoff artist, and I believe this place mechanically sabotaged our vehicle in an attempt to get more money. After realizing George Clark had absolutely no integrity, we got our car away from there, and did not get the estimated additional $2,000.00 worth of transmission work done by them. There is a reason they have cars lined up all around their building that they are selling because customers could not afford the labor costs. It is because they sabotage customer's vehicles to line their pockets, and/ or swindle them into outrageous repair costs, so they can sell customer's vehicles. I have to mark 1 star to post this review. The reality is this place deserves NO STARS! This place should be IMMEDIATELY CLOSED! Instead of Aamco transmissions, it should be called "Scammers 'R Us!" Whatever you do, DO NOT take your vehicle to this place!!!!Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Took my Prius in. Was told it would take 3 hours to complete change. I said fine, can I wait inside. Was told no, Covid concerns. I said okay, I ll find a shade tree and wait. 2.5 hours later, I was called and informed that they couldn t change my fluid because my vehicle was hybrid. Duh, it is a Prius. I can t believe the incompetence. Diagnose it sooner. Poor Service.

I wish I could give them negative stars. They must order their transmissions from China. First they lied to me about the price to change my transmission, took my truck apart then charged me $1000 more than originally quoted to put it back together with a new transmission. It's been back in the shop 5 times since tgen fir transmission repairs. Everything from leaking constantly to not shifting properly. They can't figure out why it's doing what it's doing and they refuse to fix it. Also every time I drop it off it has between 3/4 and full tank of gas and every time I pick it up my gas light is on. Why is that? Are they stealing my gas or driving my vehicle around on their personal time running errands? I DO NOT RECOMMEND THAT ANYONE USE AAMCO FOR THEIR VEHICLES. I will never use them again after this horrible experience.

Had to use them for a silver rock warranty issue. Super friendly. Told me the best time for us to drop the car off and they had it good to go the next day.

Was told my transmission was completely ruined and was priced 1.7k for a used transmission with 150k miles on it with a 6 month warranty. I went to other shops for more opinions and both told me I was misdiagnosed and also was quoted from another shop that I could get a used transmission with less than 50k miles on it with a year warranty. Dont go here. They will jip you for sure and will tell you whatever they want in order to sell you something. I also over heard another customer getting gouged on a minor part. I would strongly recommend looking around before even thinking about coming here.

Airways ask for Will! Not only is he the owner of the mechanic shop and the car lot but he's an amazingly fair guy who is just down to earth and honest! I hate car salesmen but this guy is a must visit!

i have a 2009 chevrolet tahoe and my transmission quit pulling and i was stuck on side of the road and i called aamco transmissions and they towed me for free because i let them fix my transmission . it cost 2289 and i got a life time warranty which is good for as long as i keep the tahoe. they fixed it in one day for me because that was my only vehicle and a single mom with 2 kids. i just love my local aamco. Will lambert was great and he let me borrow a car for a day. AAmco save me that day.Service: Transmission

Not my vehicle. But they fixed a transmission on a White 2003 Honda Odyssey around May of 2014. For around 3 grand, I expected more quality checks to be done. Transmission is fixed, and shifts okay, but replaced motor mounts with low quality aftermarket mounts, (probably worse quality than oem 11 year old mounts) and forgot to mount a screw on the transmission. Broken clips, missing clips, unclipped clips, bent transmission oil dipstick. and the cruise control cable is squashed under the air box, not on top, where it belongs.. Windshield washer clip to hood never clipped back on , neither were the battery cable clips under the air box.. battery cable terminals were slanted when installed back onto the car.. with the battery greasy and dirty. sprayed the door with what appears to be degreaser and had it all over the windows. Not how the car was left. yep.. total car care alright..(edit) - also, the steering wheel on the van came back angled 5 degrees to the left when driving straight. Very annoying on a 4 spoke steering wheel. Honda would of installed a rebuilt/new transmission for less than a grand more.. maybe that would of been the better route. Why am I anal about the small details? because Transmissions have HUNDREDS of small parts together and attention to detail is key. If they cant put plastic clips on the car without breaking it, I wonder what they did IN the transmission.

For so many more reasons than I have the time to list, stay away. Stay very, very far away and use an independent mechanic insteadService: Auto engine diagnosticService: Auto engine diagnostic
