The best business in Marion County for pretty much all your car needs. I worked here I little while back and they are good people some people don't like some of the prices they're not to high but I tell you what you get your money's worth that's for sure. I said something about this place that I shouldn't have out of anger on Facebook so if you see my post from Marcus Romero it's a lie all of it Charlie Pope is a good man and was a good boss. I admit I was wrong for what I said I wasn't in my right state of mind when I said it I can't take the post back. I will say this tho go to Popes for whatever your car may need they won't let you down and if you don't wanna take my word try it for yourself you'll find yourself pleased with the results.....Services: Auto battery replacement, Electrical, Auto engine tuning, Wheel alignment, Transmission repair, Auto tire replacement

A new tire was put on and it came off the same night while driving. They claimed they did not know why it happened. Went back to get replacement tire the next day and they said they could not replace it because there was a cut in it. Paid $180 and they didn't want to refund or replace it. Do not use this place!! Full of crooks!!

An apology from the owner for their mechanic test driving my car before a front end alignment and tearing it up would be nice...... and then the same mechanic criticizing what make of vehicle I drive blaming the issues on it. Owner heard him say it, and let it go. Just said he didn't say it, his mechanic did. Well sir, your vehicle mistreating mechanic is a direct representative of your company.

I brought my car for a routine alignment. They told me I needed several parts replaced that were "worn out " before it could be aligned. Total for the work would be around $1700. Soooo glad I took it for a second opinion at Griffiths Tire. They said nothing needed to be replaced it just needed an alignment. Guess they thought they'd pocket that stimulus check. Not today! Will NEVER use this business and definitely won't recommend to anyone else. Heard this is a common occurrence with this place.

The only place I would ever go or recommend for a front or 4 wheel alignment, nobody does it better, and yes I have tried at least 5 other businesses for the same thing over the years...

Had a front tractor tire mounted today. Professional and quick service. Fair price too. If you want no nonsense service go to Pope. Not the cheapest, but you can count on being happy when you leave.

If you are a single female do not use this place. I went in for brakes, I knew one of my rotars was bad. I ask them to give me worse case scenerio price and I specifically told them to call me if they had to replace my rotars. They didn't call to tell me they was going to replace both rotars, they call to tell me my car was done and that they changed the rotars and gave me the price. I was highly upset, but what could I do other than pay? That was my first and last time going to Pope Tires. I will never use pope tires again.

Got waited on right away. Problem diagnosed and fixed within 1/2 hr. Cost for tire comparable to Sam's. It's nice to have a service that you don't have to go all the way to Hattiesburg to get.

I had a light that kept popping up on my dashboard that indicated that I needed my brakes checked. I got my oil changed a week prior and I was told it cost nothing to have a diagnostic scan run on the car and they would perform it while the oil was being changed. When they returned my car to the front I was told that there was nothing wrong with it. I drove down the road and the light came back on. I called the next day and told them that the light was still on. The gray haired man who runs the place told me to bring it back and they would check it again. I brought it back and he ran a scan on it. At first, he told me it was a sensor. He went inside and started punching numbers on his little calculator. He hands me a little piece of paper with a bunch of numbers on it and informs me that my anti-lock brakes were malfunctioning, and that it would cost me $188 to fix them. Then he informs me that I owed $25 for the diagnostic. I told him that I didn't bring any money because all the other places I've been to have never charged me for this service and that I wasn't charged before. He pretty much called me a liar and that all the other places charged for the service. Then he proceeded to attempt to humiliate me in front of the other customers. He was talking to the chubby Pope boy at the register in a sing-song voice. "Sheeee didn't bring anyyy moneeeeey." "She expected us to work on her car for frweeeeee." Then the snotty Pope boy reciprocated his taunts. "She wanted us to wowrk on herw cawr for nowthin'". I've never wanted to punch anyone in the face so badly. I told him that I didn't have any money on me, but my husband would bring him his money shortly. He acted as if plugging a wire in a hole was a back-breaking work. He charged $25 to stick a friggin wire into a friggin hole. My husband shows up with the money and they told him that there was nothing wrong with my car and that it was just a sensor. Their attitude completely changed to one of respect. They were trying to take advantage of my because I'm female. They were attempting to screw me out of $188 because I'm female. They tried to humiliate me because I'm female. If these people were the last car service on the face of the planet, I would rather ride a bike. I hope they all rot in a sack in the pits of hell for the rest of eternity.
